Hello everybody. I'm having problems and many apps are behaving strangely. Youtube and instagram for example. When using it, unexpectedly, it appears as if the app had ended and restarted. Returning everything to the beginning. YouTube even pulls out of the video. Furthermore, a clean update of the version from 11/22 to 02/23 was made, battery consumption, which was one of the main problems, has been resolved. But strange behavior and crashes in some app is bad!

You can update the drivers through the last version of mi flash unlock software. Always work in my case.
It did not work for me:
Left clicked on that and selected Update driver---> Browse my computer for drivers----> Selected mi Unlock folder---> Drivers folder

If you google it you can find it on the web :)!
I just google it, and if you access to this link you have the adb drivers for our Mi9 and the installation steps, I believe it should work.
Can you confirm that this one is fine?

Has anyone had any problems with the newest build & Android Auto?

Whenever I try using Android Auto, my Audio gets all messed up, the phone gets very slow and after some time android auto crashes. Does anyone have a recomendation for me? Would be very appreciated.

Edit: Tried downgrading to 8.8.630444 via adb, didn't help. The latest to versions (9.0.6... & 9.1.6...) didn't work either. I'll try an even older version next, I just read that some pixel 7 phones also had problems with android auto after they were released.

Edit 2: Older versions don't work, bcs Android 13 forces an Android Auto update before using. In the end I switched ROMs and now Android Auto works just fine.

Everything is very fine, thank you a lot. Only one problem left, Magisk and battery drain. I would like to install Magisk, but do not know how to install it. Maybe you can help me.
And another thing is battery drain, as I see something eats a lot of battery on my phone

Ever since I created new user profile I have random issues with brightness:
  • Adaptive Brightness turned off, brightness set to 70% - after unlocking phone it's at almost minimum (like 10-15% brightness), but it still shows 70%,
  • Adaptive Brightness turned off, brightness set to 70% - after switching user profiles it's been set to the minimum, both visually and in settings
  • Adaptive Brightness turned on - after switching user profiles it stops working.
I tried clearing device health services cache/memory, tried resetting adaptive brightness, changing settings, even turning off device health services for days. Nothing of that works.

Can you guys suggest what else I can do to fix that or is that ROM issue?

I never install Magisk, because I didn't need it, sorry. But did you search here on our comments, I believe I saw someone already explaining how to install it, no?
About the battery drain, that's wired, from my experience with different rooms this one so far as the best performance in my opinion in terms of battery. To the point that I decided to go to the Mi Store to replace my battery for a new one.

I did how it said on first post, but it did not worked out for me. They forgot to add "Update after installation magisk in apps section"
The last 2 main questions:
1. Once upon a time we had a Peel app or a remote control app which worked perfect on Mi 9. Does it work correctly, or do I have to install kernel or app?
2. What we can do to make the left side single button to work? :)

1. The Mi Remote App works for me perfectly fine.

2. This one has been discussed somewhere in the posts before....

Are you using any screen protector or changed screen? If so then it can be the root of the issue.
If not try this: go to Settings > Display > Colors > and set the color mode to Natural, then try again.
If the problem persists, try using another finger.
Here fod is working fine, I've registered many times the finger at first attempt :)
Hello :)

In the previous rom version , no problem at all but with the last one --> impossible to register a finger print, a Timeout popup appears at 70% of the process....strange ?!!! i have no screen protector and i set to "natural display"

Here's the list of changes device side (source changelog is on the website):

    • Switch FOD color back to green
    • Set to powersave governor when device is idle
    • Remove audio and Adaptive Battery CPU Throttling hints
    • Make use of task_profiles and cgroups
    • Fixed VoWiFi not working on outgoing calls or airplane mode
    • Upstreamed kernel to 4.14.314
    • Merged CLO tag 'LA.UM.9.1.r1-13500-SMxxx0.QSSI13.0' in kernel
    • Backport f2fs from 6.4-rc1-5.10

If anyone has faced issues with random reboots, or broken deep sleep flash the kernel given below. (Random reboots were due to OOM/out of memory)

Also, color inversion can be used again and screen won't turn black while enabling the setting.

Some of the kernel changes over latest official release are:
    - Upstream to 4.14.314
    - Remove timeout to wakelocks globally
    - Fix f2fs null pointer panic
    - Fuse backports
    - Enable SLMK
    - Disable Maximum Swappiness (200)
    - kgsl and block changes
    - Revert PCC to CSC
    - Revert "Tweak cpuidle governor to enter deep C state faster"

Edit: no root needed, it's stable, and use adb sideload <kernelzipname> to flash it.

In my case everything is ok, should I flash It to improve experience or battery comsumption? Is it recomendeda anyway? Thanks
I also had no issues, and I flashed it.
Nothing got worse, so I think it is worth flashing it.
Now I have between 85-95% deep sleep
    2
As well, you may be interested, I've compiled a kernel with KernelSU support, check here for REVUELTO-KSU zip to download. Kernel is the same, it's just that i renamed to "REVUELTO".
Steps to flash the kernel are the same, update from adb > adb sideload, or update from OTG (you can't flash kernel in OTA udpater, just in case).
    * Note: KernelSU don't support all modules

Why not mentioning that we are back to Pixel Launcher?
It is mentioned in source changelog 😅

    - Upstream kernel to 4.14.305 and compile it with playground clang 17

About MIUI Camera, it will hopefully return in next updates, i have removed it for now due to broken autobrightness after using the camera, and camera going full black randomly (which forcefully needs reboots). Once I fix these issues, I'll include it again. Safetynet is fixed as well. Hope y'all likes the update :).

PS: Something i forgot to mention, Camera ids has been udpdated:
0 for main/wide, 1 for front, 2 for telephoto, 3 for ultra wide.
I mention this just in case GCams or any mod doesn't recognize properly the other cameras.
