Hi all. Great ROM. Flashing from Havoc-OS, installed the recommended TWRP and clean flash. Everything OK, but one issue. I want to make a TWRP backup but the provided version does not decrypt data (nor media data of course) so no TWRP backup.
In this case, why recommend this 3.6-A12 version over 3.7-A9 official version of twrp?
And other Q, I see an Spark recovery .img version......Is is a TWRP fork or similar? is it advisable to use it?

jajajajajja, i´ll explain you:
First of all, the developer last entrance to this site was in December.... we are almost in April, so he hasn´t read any feedbacks yet.
Secondly, this update is nothing for the final user, check the changelog.

As you can see, compared to other versions this "new" version changelog is insignificant, so it doesn´t make sense updating to 13.5.5, better wait for 13.6 or higher.

hello, can you help me? currently, on v13.5, trying to install 13.5.5 via adb sideload: once in recovery mode, within a cmd within the folder adb on C:, type adb sideload spark_name.zip, and it started to install update...until script succeeded: result was 1.000000 and in the cmd window, it says: total xfer: 0.99x

but got an error after rebooting to system: "can't load android system...you may need to perform a factory data reset..."

what should I do? thanks

update: did the same but using the v13.5, and it worked.

13.5.5 is bugged, and apports nothing as an "update"

It's such a great rom. Using it as a daily driver because it's so reliable. No other rom comes close to this fluidity and customisation. However I've faced a couple of bugs.

When we open the Google calculator app, we can't exit it using the back gesture, we have to swipe up to go to task manager then kill it from there instead. Not a major bug though


Secondly the ultra battery saver. Even we have enabled the option to "ask each time" after clicking on the qs tile panel of the battery saver icon. The option doesn't appear unless you go into the battery saver settings by long pressing the qs tile and then reselect it... Then even if you disable the battery saver the phone paused apps doesn't go back to normal mode. You'll have to repeat the same process and then click on "never" in the battery saver options.

3rd, the pocket mode doesn't work. If the sensor is covered it will give warning that "pocket mode is on please press volume down button to disable it" but still the function doesn't work unlike other Android 13 roms I've used. It's pretty useful because I use double tap to unlock screen feature and without the pocket mode the phone keeps unlocking itself inside the pocket 🤣

4th - sometimes when we use the colour scheme of wallpaper based colours inside the themes. It doesn't get applied but the solid colour does without a problem.

    The provided Recovery is recommended if you want to stay encrypted, no custom recovery supports encryption on Android13, i.e. you won't be able to decrypt your data.

    Flashing Instructions
    Clean flash (coming from a different ROM):
    • Download ROM from the link above
    • Download Magisk v23.0 or newer (optionally)
    • Reboot to recovery
    • Wipe cache, dalvik, data
    • Flash latest global stable firmware (link above)
    • Flash ROM zip
    • Format data (if encrypted)
    • Reboot and voila!
    • To get root access, reboot to recovery after ROM setup and flash magisk.

    Updating to a newer build (dirty flash):
    • Flash ROM zip and magisk (optional)

    Hi @Pluip ! I had the same problem and figured it out.
    Open the Dolby Atmos app and turned it off. It may need to turn it on-off one more time. Hope it helps.

    I had a similar issue, and finally got it installed using TWRP from CherishOS thread.

    Not sure why, but the recovery from this thread seemed to have some problems with system partition (I don't really know what I'm talking about, but it displayed two partitions named "System", while CherishOS' one shows "System" and "System (EROFS)" or something like that)
