It's not just you, that's one of the bugs I dislike the most in this ROM... 😕
HD1905, non rooted here. Long time developer, rarely a thread poster.

I also do not recommend using this rom, as it currently stands.

The people who are presenting this, should discontinue the rom until they do the research and fix all the more massive and damaging issues.

As it sits now, I consider this rom to be harmful to the health of our device, and degrades the healthy experience it should have. Not to mention it is destroying our battery and probably some other hardware.

At the very least, the OP should have ALL issues clearly marked as a massive warning: Charging, battery percentage jumps, drain, heat, auto brightness, Massive performance drops and lags due to the device reacting to the heat, Bluetooth ETC.

OP says, "Bugs? You tell me!" Well we tell you and they are still not listed!

Battery drops by multiple numbers at a timex. Example: I was watching YouTube and it was 15%....before my very eyes it dropped to 11%.

Battery sometimes says it's not charging while plugged in, and sometimes is indeed not charging. Sometimes it is charging. Who knows unless they sit there and watch it....or turn it off to charge.

Sound is very low, wavelet app helps sometimes.

Bluetooth has issues and disconnects randomly with some devices. Sometimes even forgets it was paired and I have to go re-pair the device.

Auto brightness is very choppy. Adjusts in jumps instead of smooth transitions.

Auto brightness also reacts to screen brightness. Example: you are watching a show or movie, and there is a bright or dark scene....auto brightness will adjust. This sometimes makes watching media on say Amazon video an annoying experience to say the least! It will also happen when you switch from a darker app to one that has lighter brighter colors. Also very annoying.

The over night drain while device is OFF is a nightmare! From 50-60% down to 20-10%, sometimes more, is SCARY!!!

Idk how this ever became official. The massive battery drain and HEAT generated is awful!! 1-1.5 amps while not doing anything? I only have 3 apps installed.

Right now as I type this, and have all other apps stopped, device is using 1.1amps. Roughly 200-350ma is a normal amount for this device for the tasks it is currently doing. That is a 4-6x more power draw than is normal for this device! Granted, new OS, new power requirements. That is still amazingly high.

Devices battery stats show no hint at what is doing this. Doesn't even seem to know it is happening!

The massive heat generated by this rom is also a major performance deterrent. Games and apps throttle because the device is so hot. Creating a terrible experience in that aspect.

Pixel experience in general these days seems to have a battery drain issue, but other device devs have mostly figured it out.

Tried rom for 3 weeks, all issues persisted the entire time. Thought I'd write this post, while still using the rom before moving on.

Now you may ask, did diz follow the instructions to the T while installing this rom? Answer is....YES. 3 times, in fact because I couldn't believe how bad this is.

*Disabling android system intelligence alleviated a portion of the battery drain and heat, but as this is a function of the OS it is not ideal.
Same goes for Private Compute Services.
Some say messing with Google play services helps a tiny bit also.

"Fixes" should also be posted in OP or in their first few posts. Especially if it's a "fix" that helps continually over multiple builds/releases of said rom.

I absolutely agree with you, and I appreciate that you have listed all the faults. In my case, I subscribe every bug and I'll add brightness control is broken in my unit (HD1905, latest PE cROM May version).
It is true that every Oneplus 7T custom ROM is buggy, but this seems the perfect candidate to be successful. I wish the OP will fix everything.

I don't have any of those issues.
I left Lineage 20 after battling bluetooth issues and have found PE rock solid.
It doesn't have some customisation options that some ROMs have but my phone is not a toy, it just needs to work and be reliable.
It is a relatively old phone now by some people's standards so the battery life is not what it was three years ago. That's par for the course.
I am very happy with this ROM.

Only every custom ROM based on OOS12. OOS11 based are pretty stable.

I thought so too but i went back to oos12 few days ago and battery life is significantly better now. Besides that it's a pretty good rom.

what are the exact steps to go back to oos12?
All You need to know is in this link. Install oos11 (there is no oos12 to download yet) and go through ota updates.

Edit: to be exact i get ~1h more SOT on oos12 vs pe but the biggest difference is when i don't use phone, discharging at idle is a lot faster on pe.

Bug 1 : When I switch my camera to pro mode it automatically closes the app.
Bug 2 : Battery draining issue and also battery percentage not showing properly (I jumps directly from 90 to 86 , 86-81, 81-79, 79-74 like this). Rest all working good and smooth. Thanks man loved it !!

Hello,
I just installer PE 13 plus, but dual sim not working on my OP7T, anyone has suggestions? Which is the best rom for my OP7T with at least android 12?

Dual-SIM isn't something you can enable with a software/OS change. If the phone's hardware doesn't support it to begin with (and there are variants that do not), then there's no fixing that.

But with the original rom it was working, the hardware is working, the issue is with the PE rom. Am I the only with this problem?

What would be a good kernel with this, I have already installed pixel experience from the official website and the battery life has gone down some levels.
You can join the telegram group where I post stable / beta standalone kernel which you can try.
