Trying to update firmware I get: "./fastboot: access denied".

I have usb debugging enabled, made a "chmod a+x Update-firmware.sh", booted to bootloader.

Doing "adb devices" returns no device. Doing "fastboot devices" returns "cee74301 fastboot"

Dont know if "adb devices" should returns a device or not.

I tried every command with and without sudo. I even tried in su. I tried to boot to bootloader from phones shutdown menu, from computer with "sudo adb reboot bootloader" and with hardware buttons on the phone.

My phone connects correctly in recovery and when i boot to fastbootd.

What am I doing wrong?

Hey I currently have Pixelexperience 13 plus and I was wondering if Crdroid is as good as I read about it. How stable is it? And how good is the battery? Or is there any other ROM you want to recommend. I would really appreciate the help please. Also I'm very new to this and I've only flashed one ROM so answer this like I'm 5 :)

Solved this. I had to set read/write permission on the entire firmware-folder recursively. It was not enough to set permission on Update-firmware.sh alone.

I don't understand what you mean. Yesterday I've flashed the newest complete package. (First time using this ROM).
Then in the evening there was this new update available over OTA.
I have the same issue every update. I always need to flash the rom twice. For this reason I don't use OTA, but always flash via a pc.

the developer state that the new build needs vendor oos firmware f.22, not sure your vendor firmware is f.22? i'm also not sure if this is related to the touch issue.

my OTA is fine as i have updated oos f.22 before flashing crdroid. you may try to update vendor firmware (see the 1st post instruction) and see if this fixes the touch issue. btw, i have no idea if it will affect your data but i don't think it will. do as your own risk.

Latest rom uses a lot more battery than a couple of versions ago (I skipped a couple of updates). Any one else noticed that?
Would a clean flash perhaps solve this?
