[ROM][13.0][OnePlus 7T Pro][OFFICIAL] crDroid v9.X [20230128]

Hi guys, I'm getting some error when I'm applying the sideload:
Error applying update: 63 (ErrorCode::kPostInstallMountError)
ERROR: recovery: Error in /sideload/package.zip (status 1)

Didn't do the clean install yet, just trying the dirtflash first.
Can someone help me with this before cleaning all?

You need to update the recovery through the bootloader before you can dirty flash the update.

My touch stopped responding after this update. Does anybody face the same or know the fix? Please help.

I know a Factory Reset might help with this, but I cannot afford to lose the data again. Is there any other work-around without reset?

I installed the rom on both a and b slots and that fixed the touch issue for me.

Definitely did this by using the firmware update script, I was able to boot to cr13 recovery after that so that isn't the problem.

I see. Just make sure you're using the latest version of the Crdroid 9.X recovery (2022/11/30)

I replaced the recovery image used at the update script with the newer one that I previously downloaded and was able to flash it, thanks for the support!

Hello!

I wanted to share my experience and give a little suggestion at the end for @ShevT.

After upgrading to OxygenOS 12, I wasn't satisfied with this version (that will never be upgraded to Android 13) and decided to install this ROM instead. No firmware update since OOS 12 already have the latest one. I followed the instructions and it went smoothly, except SMS/MMS wasn't working at first. But it was because the APN was wrong (even when restored), setting it manually with the configuration listed on my carrier's support website fixed everything. Now frankly I LOVE this new ROM, it really has much more features, I don't even have to root my phone anymore to do what I want!

But then I installed my first update of crDroid and rebooted: No touchscreen! I was very worried but fortunately I saw others fixing the issue by updating the firmware, so I did that and now everything is working again.

I know Android uses 2 slots A/B for updates. So I think what happened is:
- Using OxygenOS 11 -> Slot A: OOS11 + old firmware, Slot B (active): OOS11 + old firmware
- Update to OxygenOS 12 -> Slot A (active): OOS12 + new firmware, Slot B: OOS11 + old firmware
- Installation of crDroid -> Slot A (active): crDroid + new firmware, Slot B: OOS11 + old firmware
- Update of crDroid -> Slot A: crDroid + new firmware, Slot B (active): new crDroid + old firmware (!!!)

This is a little tricky because you think you are all set, and then at the first update of crDroid your phone stops working.

That's why I would recommend to either update the instructions so the firmware is always updated on both slots (even with OOS 12), or at least warn that if your phone stops working after the first update of crDroid, you just need to update the firmware again.

That's all I wanted to say. I hope this will avoid others unnecessary headaches!
