Did anyone manage to decrypt this ROM? If so, how did you do it? Do we perhaps need to decrypt OOS12 before flashing PE13?

Did anyone try and succeed in installing TWRP? I flashed it via fastboot but then when I wanted to reboot to recovery or system it took me to fastboot again. I tried both TWRP versions. Reflashing PE recovery solved the problem. I did not experience this issue on PE 12.

The kernel improved battery life and performance, but for automatic screen brightness and flickering I think we have to wait for a new version of the ROM.

I also see that classified kernel is picking up a lot of nice changes and backports from different projects and developers.
And we can flash new kernel releases without having to wait for a new ROM which is very nice.

No, because the kernel update didn't solve the automatic screen brightness (and flickering) issue, I assume we need a new ROM version to solve this.

This is an issue of OOS 12 firmware the PE is based on. Recently OP released the new OOS 12 update which apparently fixed the issue. Whenever OP releases kernel source code it will be updated in this rom as well

Download the kernel on your PC. Reboot the phone to recovery, go to apply update, apply from adb and then sideload the kernel zip from your PC using adb sideload command. I would recommend using the latest version of kernel, which is 1.3.

If you don't encounter any lag you don't need to do anything. If you do, you can uninstall updates to Android system intelligence after the update. After this it will probably be updated by Play Store but it's fine. Lag should be fixed anyway

Are you talking about the OTA update? I just let the Updater install it, that went just fine.

I retained root by installing magisk to the inactive slot indeed, just like with OEM OTA's.

I just downloaded and clean installed PE13+ on my phone and now the battery drain is quite large. Maybe it's only been a day or so but the battery drain is very large to a point I can't use it for a full day with normal day to day use. Anything I can do?
