Earlier when I had installed PE 12, my device was tagged as Google Pixel 6 Pro but now on PE 13, it is showing as Huawei Nexus 6P on the Google Your Devices page. From where Google is getting this info? In Settings, it is showing correctly as OnePlus 7T Pro.

Any news regarding an updated version?
The base branch for the classified kernel also hasn't been updated in a while: https://github.com/classified/android_kernel_oneplus_sm8150/commits/base

EDIT: I just read that OP decided to release another A12 firmware update.
It seems H.32/F.18 was still too buggy (and only available to Indian users).
They're now going to release H.36/F.20 which should be the final one.
Perhaps when it's released for global a new version of this rom will be based on it?
(Hoping that they'll also release the kernel sources)

yes same for me Nexus 6p
Pixel and Nexus phones comes with the unique perk of having unlimited Google Photos (because they are "Google" phones) . Many ROMs, this one included, fake the device being one of these on Google services exclusively in order to give the ROM user unlimited Google Photo storage.

Hello, kernel 1.4 update this afternoon. The change seems to be quite drastic a real gain on battery consumption. To see a little more in time but it seems to be very positive.

Small return following the update of the kernel 1.4
Really exceptional, I confirm my first feeling of really terrible autonomy. attached proof

I am on official Pixel Experience 6 Jan 2023 build of OnePlus 7T pro and my hotspot is not detected by other devices even though it starts without any issues while turning it on in the phone. Any ideas?

what do you mean by "terrible autonomy" ?
Hello, I mean by terrible autonomy the fact that with the original kernel of the latest version I had trouble lasting a day. So I installed the 1.3 kernel with which I gained a little autonomy. On the other hand with the latest kernel 1.4 I easily hold a day and a half

I am on official Pixel Experience Plus 6 Jan 2023 build of OnePlus 7T pro with latest kernel 1.4.
Here are my observations as a first time custom rom user on this device:

Pros:
  • The performance is very good. Very smooth animations and overall better performance than stock OOS 12.
  • The pixel experience features offered are very nice (I did not try every feature because I do not use every single feature on the phone).
Cons:
  • The auto brightness feature is bad. I think earlier someone mentioned that it is too sensitive. That might be it.
  • I also noticed that when the screen is touched the brightness increases and if you do not touch it for approximately 5 seconds the brightness decreases. This is especially visible while watching a video in Youtube app in fullscreen but it's definitely not limited to this app. This happens in every app.
  • The battery life is definitely worst than stock OOS 12. Compared to the stock ROM, this ROM consumes more battery at idle. I did an experiment to check on this issue. Basically I installed the ROM and the Kernel 1.4 and no 3rd party apps. Then, charged the phone to 100%, unplugged it and left it for the night. In the morning (after 7 hours) the battery was at 93%. I did it the next day and same result. If I install 3rd party apps it can only get worst from here.
  • One thing I noticed, the wifi does not switch off at night unlike the stock ROM. But, I will admit that I also see this behaviour on an actual Pixel device (Pixel 6a). So, I guess this is a feature, not a bug?! But switching off the wifi may help with the battery in theory, right?
  • Lastly, when using chrome even with only one tab open the device heats way too much. On stock ROM I could have 10 tabs open, switch between them while using and still it not heat this much.
Overall if you want a fast and smooth experience this rom is better than stock OOS 12. OOS 12 is actually buggy, some features work and sometimes they don't. That's just bizarre. However, with this Pixel Experience rom for me the biggest drawback is the inefficient usage of the battery. Right now i'm unsure if I will return to stock rom because I just hate how slow and laggy it is.

Great work to the maintainer of this rom. Thanks for your hard work. This post is only mean to share information with other users about this ROM. No hate and no disrespect.

I am no expert but if I can help with further optimization of this ROM fell free to let me know. Anyways, I will continue to follow this thread and try new stuff from the maintainer.

Hi, battery drain of 1%/hour I would consider absolutely fine. You need to consider the fact, that this is not an ordinary rom, with cut down background services to the bone, but this has many google services running in the background, which I like and use, hence the pixel experience. Also check for Android system intelligence, that is one of the "pixel" services and can cause battery drain. I would maybe delete all data for it after you updated the kernel to 1.4

Hello, I guess the pixel experience features on a 4 year old device could justify the battery drain. I actually enjoy using some of the pixel features too. So, I'll try to use the rom as a daily driver and see.

How about the heating when using chrome though. That one is weird. Did you or anyone else experience this?

Depends on type of webpage, Facebook does heat it, however news page's not so much. As you mentioned, the lack of performance is becoming visible, the phone is still able to cope, albeit with noticable heat/battery drain, as the chipset is running more with higher frequencies. It is at this point an older device, even if still perfectly capable.
