Hi everyone, and thanks a lot to the dev(s) for the ROM! Amazed by the change after years with MIUI.
I have a question about encryption, I had to format data after unlocking the bootloader because the content inside was encrypted and unreadable. Now I'm unencrypted but i would like to encrypt my phone.
Is it possible to do it in some way keeping the actual installation?
What are the down sides of keeping encryption?
I'm using latest orangefox as recovery

Thanks!

Can someone comment on camera please? That's the only thing keeping me on stock for now...
I use Burial with Alderon XML: https://t.me/alderonchannel/500

Same issu for me. I have force encryption for 5.1 but must format to update to 5.2.

for rooted users, anxcamera can be flashed through Magisk as well
&
So "stock xiaomi miui cam" can be part of pixel experience? Always thought they only work with miui framework and therefore won't work on custom roms?

I have spent almost the whole night tweaking the camera after the installation of this ROM.
(BTW thank you very much developers)

Briefly, Magisk+AnxCamera version 185 for Android R is what worked for me.
Most recent versions block the phone in bootloop, even with their anti-bootloop addon.
Instead, the 185 version for Android R semi-crashed once during the initial request for permissions, but then it worked.
Portrait mode is stil broken, even using the fix they present on their site (it seems those addons are not working at all...).
Still, it works as the original camera for the rest.

Spends 20 minutes writing a paragraph which has no value to explain how he's busy with his life. Ahh, the irony!

Everyone's busy with their lives. You don't have to write a paragraph about it. You can chose to either ignore or respond to the query. You don't have to remind me everytime how the developer is working hard. Don't do it then. If you won't someone else will. You're not special, you're replaceable.

I don't see any irony here. If Szatyor spends some time writing a friendly expanatory post in response to Davroca5's somewhat grumpy bump about why answers sometimes take a little longer in this small comunity or why there might not actually be an answer at all AND tries his best to answer the original question in the same go, then what's wrong with that? In fact, Davroca5 himself gave a thumbs-up for this reply.

@Davroco5: Unfortunately, I don't have any specific advice to you either, but are you on the latest firmware for your region? I don't know how much Recoveries are actually effected by the firmware, but in my own experience, an outdated firmware is easy to get overlooked and is one of the major causes for issues with custom ROMs.

Now a (partly off-topic) question of my own: I'm looking for a custom ROM for our Mi 9T Pro which can be used by a non-tech-savvy person as a stable daily driver, including (more or less) safe OTA updates without the necessity of manually flashing anything by means of the Recovery system. So far I've tried EvolutionX (way back when there were not many alternatives) and Pixel Experience Plus, in both cases without Magisk and leaving encryption on, so as not having to reflash DFE after every update. Unfortunately, both distributions eventually pushed an OTA update which bricked the phone due to changes in storage partitioning and/or in the encryption mechanism.

Do you have any advice in this respect? In case this is not possible with encryption enabled, is there a way to install Pixel Extended with encryption disabled such that it stays disabled after applying OTA updates? I saw that Voltage OS 2.0 ships with encryption disabled by default, which is really nice, but I think it's missing some features we'd like to have, like unlimited Google photo storage. Any advice would be appreciated!

If you regarding this rom the yes, once flashed encryption will be disabled even during a update when a new rom update comes out. All you have to do is FORMAT DATA then reboot to recovery again and continue to flash the rom. But there is instructions on op 1st page that tells you the installation instructions in detail.

Good luck with the flash.

I am also on arrow os 12.1 my first custom rom on k20 pro it's great coming from stock miui 12 but only thing I miss is battery life, so how does pixel extended compared to arrow os 12.1 in terms of performance, stability & specially battery life ?
With new kernel battery life is amazing.

Hello to all, i've clean installed the PixelExtended 5.4 Rom, I've installed Spotify 8.8 but when playing throung Android Auto 8.6 the music become silenced every 2-3 seconds then come back up and so on.
There's no problem when playing from phone or from bluetooth headphones.

I've tried to disable media audio in bluetooth, changed bluetooth codecs, cleared caches, tried different version of spotify, disabled all battery optimizations for spotify and android auto.

@ralf979 do you have any suggestion?
