magisk works just fine, either adb sideload it or patch the boot image and flash it

Yes, I did manage to flash Magisk — however, I reverted to a non-Retrofit ROM since the Backup & Restore functions were crucial for me.

The partitioning is changed so there is no issues such as running out of space when flashing, so devs don't have to remove features from the rom to avoid flash failure.

Have you tried Swift Backup? It's really simple, you can schedule backups of internal storage, call logs. Messages and have it all saved to cloud storage

Or can I flash the rom directly in the twrp?

That's intentional. You need to manually flash the latest builds. Follow the guide in the OP.

Yeah, disable "Hey Google" and reboot.

Why does "Hey google" even cause that. I know it doesnt work for roms but why does it cause audio interference?

guys, can anyone help me? im on 7.2 and i see and update to 7.3 so i download it and press install but nothing happens. i then installed TWRP but after installing says i dont have SO on my phone and wont boot anymore.
I cound revert thin but dont know how to get TWRP on 7.2, any help?

Check the first post for instructions:
"We now ship with retrofit dynamic partitions.
TWRP is not supported (unless built with the required changes for retrofit dynamic partitions)."

You used TWRP which, it explicitly says, is not supported.
