Hello again, I am sure that you're aware that MCD Kernel has been updated (for the last time) and it would be awesome to have modified to use with Evolution X

You didn't read my comments properly I guess. I mentioned that I had same issue and changing the slot fixed my issue. I've repeated many times with official and custom ROMs too, every time same issue and same solution. Yes disabling ok is also the solution but that doesn't mean my solution not related. What if someone uses ok Google like me, then what is your solution? Thank for giving us such details on XDA but read and understand clearly sir.
OK google is just broken on non-pixel devices running non-oem roms, live with it
Yes that is true. But changing slot fixed that for me. So I gave my solution. 🫣
Please is there any official way to root the OnePlus 6T Evolution X v7.3 with Magisk.
I got an error after I flashed the patched boot image, it would just reboot to a black screen then to the evolution x recovery mode stating that the data is corrupt and that I need to factory reset, didn't factory reset, please should I have...?
Tried flashing the zip through adb sideload and through the TWRP booted image but on both got an installer error.
Tried also flashing the patched boot image instead of the regular one in the flashing process and it booted but my device wasn't rooted.
Please do let me know what/when/if you guys have a solution and thanks

I'm also having NFC issues. NFC disables itself after a while and only a reboot can fix it.
Let me know how I can help troubleshoot.
Which is the differnce between this build and the build Evolution_X_enchilada.v7.4_Kaldereta-20221214-1540-UNOFFICIAL.zip from sourceforge? Last one can be flashed from TWRP directly. May be the first is official and second one not?

I don't have battery issues, but i did noticed one thing?, charged my phone at night, early in the morning got 3 notifications wich I didn't dissmis them, was on bed and went on sleeping, wake up a cuople hours later and battery was at 80, I'm on one build before the last realese1Hey, I'm loving this rom so far and I've only encountered a couple minor issues.
The first one is that when quick task switching (by double tapping the overview/task switch button) on certain apps it'll freak out a bit and seemingly try to switch to an app that doesn't exist. If I do it slower it works fine, but it's taking a bit of effort to re-train my muscle memory.
It seems to mainly happen on Google apps, eg chrome and YouTube. It might be related to the fact I have animation speed set to x0.5 to make everything feel a bit faster - I haven't tried putting it back to normal yet but it might solve it. It wasn't a problem on any other roms though, so I'm curious what's going on there.
The only other thing I wanted to ask was is there any recoveries with nandroid backup support that work with retrofit partitions? I mess with my phone a lot and I'd love to be able to take a full backup so I can restore it when I inevitably brick it again without having to mess around with fastboot a bunch.
Anyway, other than those two minor things, this rom rocks! Thank you so much for your efforts. -

We now ship with retrofit dynamic partitions.
TWRP or any of it's derivatives (OFOX, PBRP, etc) are not supported (unless built with the required changes for retrofit dynamic partitions).
Custom kernels are not supported (unless built with the required changes for retrofit dynamic partitions).
Follow these instructions exactly as written.
Update
1. Reboot to recovery
2. adb sideload rom.zip (replace "rom" with actual filename)
3. Reboot to system & #KeepEvolving
OTA
1. Check for update. If available, select "Download and install" (approx 10-15 min)
2. Reboot & #KeepEvolving

19I'm aware that a handful of users in the OnePlus 6 series community use MCD kernel by @mcdachpappe. So I've went ahead and compiled it with the required changes needed for retrofit dynamic partitions.
Please note that this kernel is not shipped with the ROM, and I will not provide extended support regarding it if issues happen to arise as a result from using it.14
No, you can't just install the APK and expect it to work.
I never said it wasn't possible. I could have very well included it in the builds you are all currently running right now.
The thing is, over the years hearing the amount of "stock cam??" question's, I've grown to care less and less about it altogether. And I don't want to give into that anymore considering the fact people end up harassing me to include it. So I'm standing my ground and saying NO, my ROM, my rules.8
