I have a rooted device as well, ota flashed the lastest update (build number ending in 834) and then flashed magisk. Worked no issue.

Same OTA doesn't work for me since I formatted to f2s, no biggy, just doing sideloads.

After checking few more stuff about the issue. Like the fact that there were no heat at all from the phone when it happened and that there was no application guilty for that consumption. So I thought about something else than the software part.
I recently changed the battery, like 2 weeks ago...
And the battery is at fault, it seems to be a defective one that sometimes have a drop of power. I just checked it with a pro.

To apply the updates follow these steps
*Download the latest update from here
*Move it to a sd card, if ur phone doesn't support sd card use an usb with an otg adapter
*Boot your recovery
*Wipe cache and dalvik
*Then select your sd card/usb on mount storage
and install
*Then wipe cache again and reboot...Hope this helps

Make sure u move the rom file from a pc to usb..i tried moving from phone to usb many times but while installing it says zip file corrupted..so yeah move it from a pc and then install it through otg it will work fine...

First Time in evolutionX, i did a clean install
. K20 pro have originally 60hz display For now because of you We get 102hz. My challenge is 120hz 
Sometimes when "Night Light" is on browsers like Brave and Chrome lags and gets stuck while scrolling. Same with YouTube while changing from landscape to portrait mode the screen gets stuck and the phone restarts.. Does anyone knows its solution?

You really don't have to buy one, if the file is on your pc, just adb sideload. If it's already on the phone because you downloaded it OTA, just try to find the zip and install it from recovery.
Thanks for the excellent tip. Won't flashing the update zip file erase all my existing stuff? How can I make sure that I don't erase / factory reset the whole phone?

*Wipe cache and dalvik first
*Then install the rom and after completion an option will appear to clear dalvik again after that reboot
I'm getting error E1001 "failed to update system image" when trying to install the latest 1-25 built. Anyone else?
EDIT: I've had this issue for a few days and I really didn't want to ask here and now right after I asked I managed to get it working.
Installed OrangeFox recovery and tried the built in otc update which worked. Before I only did the manual zip flash because twrp didn't support the built in update (or I just had an old version of it? idk)

open twrp and flash the update, it's in data/system_updates, it's not encrypted

No thanks. Find a different ROM.Please i request you , try fixing the colours , at least the adaptive profile , when opening any app the colours are switched from adaptive to saturated(colours are too saturated) , and night light intensity changes randomly in adaptive mode , Please do try fixing
