[ROM][13.0_r49][OFFICIAL] Evolution X 7.9.2 [06/02/2023]

I love custom ROMs but rarely update. I cannot remember where to find settings after months of not changing anything and using the phone as is once all set up.

I updated the 3/27 build to have the 3/05 prior...it was a dirty flash (all is working with zero issues). I've sat here for a while looking for two settings I cannot find them:

1. I did not have the search bar at the bottom of the Home screen. I cannot remember how I removed it or the setting I toggled to do so. Where can I find it?

2. Clear all recent apps. When I swap up from the bottom, and see all the open apps. I had an open to "clear all" apps, but I cannot find where I toggled that option. Where can I find it?

I have looked and looked If it is gone, that helps too because I keep coming back to my phone looking for those settings.

I saw that in the last update, clean flash is recommended to avoid issues.
If i format data from TWRP instead of a factory reset, will do the same?

1. you can't if you are using the pixel launcher
2. Swipe all the way to the left, it at the end of the lost like on stock pixel phones

Edit: It seems like my phone isn't on the high refresh rate setting so i went to check and I can't find the toggle anywhere?

Always appreciate feedback, but that is not correct. It is correct on the Pixel launcher, but in this rom there was an option to hide it, see below. I am familiar with other 3rd party launchers and I have never used on this rom just the stock but see on the last update before this one I have no search bar on the home screen

Always appreciate feedback, but that is not correct. It is correct on the Pixel launcher, but in this rom there was an option to hide it, see below. I am familiar with other 3rd party launchers and I have never used on this rom just the stock but see on the last update before this one I have no search bar on the home screen

Thx...I could be I'm no pro just going off what I did see and the pic is proof. thx. All I know I am stock Evolution and never had another launcher and I was able to hide it.

I cannot explain it, and I do not install other launchers and the bottom search bar is gone in that pic.

Go figure it was that way before the 3/27 update....LOL

I have updated to the latest update and followed the instructions on wiping the phone and starting over but I have an issue with the animations. They are choppy a lot of the time and in specific places like the app drawer. Any ideas?

I updated to the latest version. After installation, the device was wiped in recovery. After setting up the device, the device temperature was higher than expected and the home screen animation was delayed. found that the Pixel launcher was taking up over 40% of the battery power. Please revert to the previous launcher.

I have an issue proceding First Time install on 8T.
Here are the commands

I tried another computer, another USB port or cable and still the problem
I restarted the bootloader (from bootloader mode) and I could flash recovery

Not sure if you've updated to the 3/27 update or not, but at least pre-3/27 update (still with the EvoX Launcher) you tap and hold on the home screen > Evo X Launcher Settings > Home Screen > At A Glance > Disable 'At a Glance.'
Since I haven't updated to the 3/27 update yet I'm not sure how similar or different the Pixel Launcher is from the Evo X Launcher, but hopefully it's similar enough that you can figure it out from here.

I haven't yet updated to the 3/27 update, so I'm still running the Evo X launcher, but here's how you do it on that (hopefully Pixel Launcher has similar steps)
1. To enable/disable search bar on Evo X Launcher, tap and hold the home screen > Evolution X Launcher Settings > Home Screen > Search Bar > Enable "Google search bar." It's possible there's a Pixel Launcher settings that can be changed just like that.
If that is not an option on the pixel launcher, then you can probably just tap and hold the home screen > Widgets > Google (app) > "Search" and put that on the bottom of your home screen. Maybe not exactly the same, but should be pretty close.
2. Similarly, for the "clear all" apps option, tap and hold the home screen > Evolution X Launcher Settings > Recents > Quick actions > Enable 'Clear all.' It's possible there's also an option for this in the "The Evolver" section of the settings, though I'm unaware of it.
If neither of these are part of the Pixel Launcher, it's possible you'd just have to go without either setting. A shame, but it is what it is and we appreciate Evo X and Anierin regardless

after update 3/27 both these options are gone. evox launcher was better.
hopefully thes options can be modded back into the pixel launcher

Ahhh.... So I was under the mindset the old launcher was Pixel. Had no idea it was Evo launch.

Now it all makes sense.

Honestly I think it was Pixel Launcher even not too long ago, I feel like I remember looking under apps in setting and seeing Pixel Launcher and not Evo X Launcher. However, one of the updates in the past 6 months updated it to Evo X Launcher and evidently had those additional options. With the lastest update reverting back to Pixel Launcher, it seems as if the options for those things just disappeared.
You could always try out a different launcher to see if it has some of the stuff you want. Nova is always a popular one, or if you want a Pixel-esque launcher with more options I've heard that Action Launcher Pixel Edition is pretty good.

dirty installed 7.7 , flashed orangefox via magisk then f63 flwashable zip. all working fine without wipe

Edge lighting have an option for custom color , but this randomly reverts to the default accent color. And needs to be re-applied again, but the bug reverts this later on.

Just two little bugs:
1. For The Evolver > Quick Settings > QS Footer > "Edit tiles icon, Power menu shortcut, Running services shortcut, and Settings shortcut don't do anything." They're all there regardless, disabling them does not make the shortcuts disappear in the QS footer.
2. Without any notifications, the lock screen clock sometimes appears way too large. In single-line mode, entire numbers can be cut off the screen (eg, the time is 11:00 and I just see 11:0 across the screen). In double-line mode, they don't go off the screen but can overlap depending on the font.
Iirc there used to be an Evolver setting that forced the LS clock to be in small mode (when there are notifications the clock is stuck in the top left and is smaller; there are no issues with these that I've observed) all the time, but I am unable to find this and am wondering if this was changed in the last update.
