IMO... Yes, I recommend updating to 7.5. --- I originally came to Fulmics from BareCeeV2 on my Sprint LS990. I was running 6.5 > 6.9 for a few weeks, and liked it, but did have some moderate issues here and there... not enough to abandon the ROM, but enough to be concerned. Since upgrading to Fulmics 7.0 and then more recently 7.5, I can say that I am extremely pleased with this ROM and really can't believe the outstanding performance and battery life I continue getting out of this now (in smartphone terms) "ancient" device!

Believe me... I hesitated with the whole "Clean Flash" situation, as I had just gone through it only a few weeks earlier, when first coming to Fulmics. However, I now say it was worth the time and effort and highly recommend upgrading to 7.5. I was on the verge of purchasing a new LG G6. However, Fulmics 7.5 has made me want to hold on to my faithful LG G3, as it now does just about everything I want and need!

This may be dumb to ask, but have you tried the BT fix in the fulmics hub?

I had to switch to another ROM because the bluetooth pairing issue could not be remedied and I was stuck without bluetooth audio streaming. I didn't remember seeing a Bluetooth fix in the Fulmics hub for 7.x or 6.x, but your post made me second guess myself, so last night I flashed 7.5 again. I still don't see a BT fix, I assume if there was one available for earlier versions it has now been integrated into the ROM?

This flash was, as always, a full wipe and flash. This time I could pair only 1 time and receive media audio output on my BT devices. After that first pair, the issue of subsequent pairings resulting in no media audio being routed to the device started up again. I was surprised how soon it cropped up this time since last time it took almost 2 weeks.

It looks like it's either my VS985 or I am the only one with such a severity of this problem. In any case, the ROM is no longer being developed and there doesn't appear to be any sort of solution. I don't suppose using a different kernel would fix this? Fulmics seems to be one of the best performing ROMs imho but I absolutely need to stream audio to my bluetooth devices. I am probably going to go back to another no longer active Lollypop ROM which seems to run well, despite some Bluetooth audio glitching every time a new music track is loaded. Guess you can't have it all, but I can settle for now. Unless anyone comes up with a clever way to fix this, I'm sadly done with this. I appreciate all the work xspirit has done and some of the very helpful communication I have received from forum members.

I had horrible BT issues. I found no BT fix in the hub either. I found that if you update the viper app, or just don't install it, the BT issues are gone.

EDIT My mobile data speeds seem to be capped at 4mbps due to my data plan (AT&T shared family 6gb.) I went back to Stock KitKat and got the same speed. But if anyone has any tweaks to suggest, they would be appreciated, wife's iPhone gets 10ish.

Anyone have any suggestions? I did a clean flash on my ATT D850, coming from Fulmics 6.x. My wifi didn't get above 2.5mbps and my mobile data was just as bad. I found that flashing the 20f modem somehow made my wifi back to normal, but my mobile data still tops out at 4mbps. I was getting 12+ on 6.

Interesting, I was on a ROM that had viper pre-installed and had Bluetooth stuttering issues evertime you'd advance a song track. I had thought of trying to uninstall viper to see if it made a difference.

I appreciate the suggestion, but with regards to Fulmics, I actually have never installed viper with any of my flashes. Actually usually everything is pretty plain vanilla, for fulmics, and I have experienced this with the bare minimum of apps installed.

In one of the scrap G3 D850s I collected for spare parts, Its bluetooth issue was hardware related, hope that's not the case for you. Odd that the "same" phone can have so many different quirks

I had considered hardware but Bluetooth worked flawlessly on stock Lollipop and the pairing media audio issue doesn't seem to be a problem on other ROMs either. Fulmics seems to be the best ROM out there with everything functioning except for this Bluetooth problem.

I have a T-Mobile D851 that I rooted and installed TWRP 3.0.0.2 and installed fulmics 7.5 Everything installed perfectly, but now the phone imei shows UNKNOWN and it will not recognize a sim card. I can put it back to stock and it reads the sim and shows the correct imei. Any ideas what is wrong and how to fix it? thanks

Go back to stock rom and backup your working efs partition using twrp. Install fulmics and restore the backed up efs. This should fix the issue.

The UX6 interface wont be available to the LG G3. Fulmics 7.5 is the last update of this ROM.

I really appreciate your help but this did not work. It is still showing unknown for everything in the about phone > status screen. imei,esn, meid etc..... and it does not recognize a sim card. However, when taken back to stock, it works perfectly. Any other ideas to try ? Thanks again

Upon further research, it is not just Fulmics.....EVERY custom rom i install kills the imei....shows up as unknown and wont accept a sim card. However, going back to stock fixes the issue. Is there any hope or am i doomed to never getting a custom rom on this phone? It is the D851 T-Mobile variant.

I did some research and stumbled across another thread and sound something that works. After you have rooted, installed TWRP, and flashed Fulmics, you need to flash LG-D85130D-Flashable.Modem.zip Once you do that, it works. The IMEI shows back up, and the sim is recognized and everything is back to normal. I hope this helps some one else who is having this same problem.

I seem to have a problem with my Fulmics 6.6
I had some issues with my phone a few weeks back and accidentally unrooted it. And now I have been unable to find a way to root it back.
Please suggest a method to regain root. I am prepared to try anything. The battery drains quickly in this version, and I hope to update it with a latter version of fulmics.

My conclusion.

I think that your problem of bootloop is due to a hardware problem because if you installed the ROM well and then the problem started after that, it can be provoque by the chip that is next to the memory that is desoldered and this causes the bootloop , you can try to install another one Rom but if the restarts continue then if it is the memory chip, you can repair them with a reflow to this chip, but if you do not do it well, it will again desolder over time ,same thing happened to me with my first g3

Thanks for the reply mate, after days of reading and researching, and also, opening my G3 and doing some stuff with it, yes, I therefore conclude that it is a hardware problem, something to do with the WiFi/Bluetooth chips, probably damaged because of the thermal modding I did(well, I didn't expect that coming). It has nothing to do with switching from one rom to another, as I performed "clean"(very clean) installs on the rom. The problem occurred 10 mins after Fulmics 7.0 was installed. There are many solutions(mostly temporary) here around xda forums but none seem to work for me.(I don't want to try baking my motherboard, lol). I even recently read this post by @thebrains9

I haven't tried it but it seems plausible.

Well, bottom point is, I buy a new phone or have this G3 sent to the main service center.

I'd like to share my thoughts on Fulmics 7.5 in this post. It will be a bit long, but hopefully helpful. Here you go:

First, my thoughts about root options in AROMA and porting the stock UX4 camera to Fulmics:
Root options, with the exception of Magisk, are broken in BOTH Fulmics 7.0 and 7.5. This is NOT because xpirt provided us a ROM with bad files, but because there is an error in AROMA updater script. This results in the following situation:

1) If you choose to install Magisk, the ROM is installed as expected and works just fine.
2) If you choose to install SuperSU Systemless mode, first SuperSU Systemless is installed during the installation, and then SuperSU is installed again in system mode. Upon rebooting, SuperSU works, but possibly not in systemless mode anymore. I also think this type of installation could lead to problems due to conflicts, but I can't remember the exact SuperSU installation procedure in the updater script, so I'll refrain from making definite statements.
3) If you choose to install SuperSU System mode, the procedure fails. SuperSU is NOT installed at all. Magisk Manager is installed (although it is supposed NOT to be there) and you are welcomed by a message like "no root binaries found".

The fix to this problem is very simple and I'll notify xpirt soon. If it is OK for him, I can also send my fix to those who would like to use the ROM with proper SuperSU support.

As for the G5 camera & yellowish picture issue under low light conditions, I said the same thing in another thread some time ago and it is indeed true. But I also found out that G5 camera app seems to have better contrast (or maybe saturation?) than the G3 camera app, so consider it as a trade-off. In the past, I sort of tried "porting" the G5 camera to UX4 ROMs and the G3 camera to UX5 ROMs and after countless tries involving moving APKs, JAR files, shared object (.so) files, let me tell you one thing: It REALLY is a hard thing to do, and when you do, you are very likely to have problems. For example, when I tried to "port" G5 camera into UX4, it breaks the app settings. Without Xposed Framework, Apps menu just crash when you choose an app to adjust permissions etc., and with Xposed Framework, nothing happens when you click an app to adjust permissons, clear cache etc. If you try to port the G3 camera into UX5, the camera crashes when you try to change some certain settings. As I said, this probably is either impossible to do or else is very hard, so you just have to live with it if you want to use Fulmics.

Now I'd like to share my own problems when using Fulmics 7.5 on my D855:
- Smart Notification works with NONE of the launchers. Is anyone having the same problem?
- Removable persistent notifications option in the Notification tab of Fulmics Tweaks does NOT seem to change anything. Anyone else having the same problem, or did I misunderstand how this option works?
- Options in the "Launcher" tab and Launcher Hidden Menu options in the "Advanced" tab of Fulmics Tweaks app seem to be working only with the new "Home" launcher of LG. It doesn't do anything for the Home & App Drawer or EasyHome launchers. Is this the expected behaviour for the Fulmics Tweaks app, or is this a bug? I would be grateful if xpirt could enlighten us about this.
- Battery drains like hell when watching video over mobile data. This doesn't happen when watching video from local storage or over Wi-Fi. Is this expected?
- Lags/stutters can occasionally be encountered when using the new Home launcher (not really a problem for me as I normally don't use it. I just wanted to notify you guys).

Note that when testing the ROM for reporting these problems, I set system DPI to 640 and was NOT using Xposed Framework in order to avoid possible problems which could be caused by lower DPIs and Xposed Framework.

Now that I'm done with problems/bugs, here are my final thoughts about this ROM:
I have been using Fulmics since v6.1 or v6.5 - can't remember the exact version now. After using it till the 6.9 update, I switched to Tekcafe ROM as I often encountered some annoying slowdowns with the stock kernel in Fulmics and never really liked the overly-white UX5 user interface (UX4 is much better IMHO). Having used Tekcafe for a while and thoroughly enjoying it, I just returned to Fulmics 7.5 to give it another go, and I have to say that this is BY FAR THE BEST version of this ROM for me. The ROM and the UI is generally butter-smooth, having the option of Magisk is fantastic, and battery life seems to be better than previous versions of Fulmics in general. I would like to SINCERELY thank xpirt for his efforts and I think this really could be the final version of this ROM if some of the small problems in it are ironed out (I think the ROM should be updated for the broken SuperSU options at least, but of course xpirt is free to do whatever he wants).
