Yes, I've heard that but I'm not sure if it really works or not, and how expensive it is, if it does work I don't think I can afford it because im a student also I live in a third world country , the dollar is here touch the sky ! So i don't know bro i really wanted to upgrade my OS !!

Thank you I appreciate your kindness, bricking sony xz3 is hard, it happened this year with me, but don't worry I will use official lineage 19.1 or something else in it.

That's also not supported on jp models. Only the global models are supported since I don't have time to test on all of the models. I already got all global tama models which are 4 devices to test after each change. If I would start to support jp models it would increase up to 8 models. That's too much for a single person.

You do everything yourself, wow!! , i thought you had a team behind you. I am studying BSSE in university, learning C++, it is very difficult to do a single project and you are creating whole custom rom all by yourself.

There is the LineageOS team behind, sure - but maintainers are responsible for their specific devices. I only do the device-specific stuff. And most of that is cherry-picked from others. In 19.1 bringup there was a random crash for the camera. Just finding out the reason for that took me several weeks.

Yeah but from what I read on the forums, the camera got a bit worse cus Sony uses a lot of DRM protected photo processing. So I was thinking whethere there are any workarounds with that like saving the DRM keys for them to be used on custom roms...

I've been using 19.1 since it became official !
Now 20.0 ! Yet installed and everything is working fine.

For others : Please follow strictly the Lineage Setup Howto in order to avoid troubles !

Thank you very much for your work. The transition from LOS 19.1 to 20 went pretty smooth.

I've recognized a small bug in LOS 20. Automatic display turnoff is not working properly, the screen gets a little bit darker and turns off after the appropriate time, but it turns on again after about 4 seconds. Then the process repeats itself.

When I press the hold button the screen turns off and stays that way, so it is only a minor issue.

The problem only occurs when the option settings->security->displaylock is set to none.

My xz3 modell is Sony/H9493 (found in the log) with the official LOS 20. If you need further information please advice me how to do that.

    Pass SafetyNet
    Some apps like banking/payment apps or games require to pass SafetyNet.
    There are 2 options:

    Option 1: Without Root
    1. Download the latest release of ih8sn here.
    2. Replace the content of system/etc/ih8sn.conf inside the zip file with:

    3. Install the zip file through recovery.

    Option 2: With Root
    1. Install latest Magisk APK through recovery.
    2. Install Universal SafetyNet Fix as Magisk module.
    3. Install MagiskHide Props Config as Magisk module.
    4. Run the following command either in ADB shell or a Terminal emulator app like Termux after running su to set a certified fingerprint:

    5. Enable Zygisk and deny list and add some Apps to the deny list to hide rooting status.

    Issues and reports
    Report issues only if you are using the ROM kernel
    If an additional mod is installed, make sure it's unrelated, and mention it

    You cannot unlock a bootloader if it says no. And that's also mentioned in the install instructions. And apart from that jp models are not supported in this rom anyways.
