I am having this weird issue. My phone keeps making this "ching" sound at random. the same sound you get if you set a timer with custom tone, if the tone is deleted by the user then the phone simply makes "ching" sound. so my phone keeps making this ching sound, and I can't identify the cause. There is no new notification when it happens, or anything on screen. i haven't installed any harmful apps, checked the all apps list already. I only have apks installed frol trusted sources. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

a new experiment build with qpr2 changes has been released recently, and it's available on telegram group if you want to give it a try. I cannot tell how it is as I have not tried it myself and waiting for a stable release, but I can tell you the development is still going on for this ROM.
It is stable too. Can be used for daily.

glad to hear it, but I'll wait for an official release. These days I don't have time to setup roms. I know I can dirty flash but then I don't wanna face any problems in flashing stable over experimental once it releases, so I'll just play safe, and install once the official version arrives.

Can we get via ota this update or twrp flash over (i dont want to clean install and losing files apps etc)

That's good to hear but it would be good if there were just regular android security updates as well as general ROM development. I thought it would just be a case of merging upstream changes and pushing it as a point update but perhaps it's not that simple.

I flashed over official and there was no problem. There is no difference between official and experimental versions except OTA updates.

Experimental build not comes with ota. You need to flash from twrp and it's easy. just wipe cache and dalvik cache and flash rom. You shouldn't lose your data.

Only problem I have with roms on ginkgo is that the vibration intensity is too low compared to what it is on stock. In stock the vibration is hard, and I can feel it, but in roms even when set on 100% the vibration intensity is nothing compared to what it is capable of.

    EDL mode recovery
Phone status: Unable to enter BootLoader or fastboot mode, it automatically shuts down 1 second after booting.
Tools: Ultimate Multi Tool – QcFire (UMT-QcFire requires hardware dongle.), miflash pro (requires authorized personnel account login)
Preparation: Install the Qualocomm driver. I used miflash pro for one-click installation.

    1. Enter the edl mode of the phone and connect it to the computer (the port in the device manager shows Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008).
    2. Open UMT-QcFire or miflash pro for recovery. (I am using UMT-QcFire. But both tools require authorization, and some older devices may not require authorization).
    3. UMT-QcFire select the flash option, select Multi Program Mode, select the images of the firmware package in Firmware, and click flash to recovery.

    Precautions & error:
    1.
(turn off phone, hold vol up+ vol down and insert usb cable. some phones may need special boot cable or testpointfor edlmode)
This is a communication error on port 9008. Please re-enter edl mode. I turned off the phone and connected it to the computer, then shorted the edl point again and re-entered.
    2.
    Forbidden Application [03] Detected!
UMT-QcFire's self-protection function prevents packet capture and cracking. If relevant packet capture software is detected, this error message will be reported.(Wireshark/Charles/Fiddler/winpcap)
Here I did not install the packet capture tool and this error occurred (maybe it was caused by my previous installation but not clean uninstallation.)
The solution is to install winpcap and then uninstall it. (Generally there will be problems during the installation of winpcap, please solve it and complete the installation)
If that still doesn't work, try a clean computer or virtual machine.

    About authorization:
Authorization is probably the most troublesome point in the EDL mode recovery system. I chose a relatively cheap merchant in Taobao to purchase this authorization before I could continue.
You can consider asking xiaomi after-sales service to inquire whether you are willing to provide an authorized account, or look for an authorized merchant to purchase.

Hi! Check if it's the app issue. Try opening gmail in a browser in your device and send some emails, make some drafts, delete emails, etc.
If it's working fine then it's an app issue. Delete the app (or delete updates if you can't uninstall), try using the app. If it works then the problem was latest update.
If it doesn't then i have no clue. This is one of the most weird issue I have seen.
I just noticed that the last email I received was a month ago.
    From July 26.
Alhamdulillah managed to fix the issue by deleting app data. After deleting app data, I have to re login, re set all settings. And now, I am receiving new mail and managed to send some out.
Thanks for your tips. It is useful..

Hi, I don't know if it was after installing TWRP Recovery, or Magisk, after, Bluetooth did not work. I wonder if I installed an incompatible recovery or magisk. which recovery and root application are you using. Can you also give information about which version? Thanks.
    Try reflashing firmware

I am getting the same message in English, occasionally. Gingko
The solution to that is to not use the ****ty native camera. Use gcam.
    1
... interesting and congrats! Would you mind posting here (or elsewhere) how you did this (step-by-step)? Could be helpful also for others who run into the very same calamities.
sure. However, there is one thing about DEL mode recovery that requires an authorized account or hardware dongle. I chose to spend about $1 to purchase a license before I could continue.

    ABOUT
    ArrowOS
is an Android Open Source Project-based Android mobile operating system started with the aim of keeping things simple, clean, neat, and organized, both for the Android system and users. We added features that will be helpful in the long run, while aiming to deliver smooth performance and longer battery life. We understand the pain of unnecessary and sometimes rarely used mods/features being shipped with custom ROMs nowadays which may end up causing battery drains and/or memory leaks & crashes. This is being strictly avoided on our side keeping everything to a bare minimum, delivering stable performance all the time without destroying the AOSP interface. With users getting more used to tweaks and features, we added just the right features and customisations that will be actually USEFUL at the end of the day.
