[ROM][13][clover] LineageOS 20 for Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 [UNOFFICIAL]

A question for those that have switched from the Lineage 19 ROM to this one. Are there any major advantages other than it is good to have the latest Android version on a device that was never officially updated?

I've found the 19 ROM to be absolutely great and everything I need works perfectly. If it were just a case of a standard upgrade with a factory reset then I'd go for it but it does seem to be a bit trickier than that.

Still gyroscope not working (and not found by a troubleshooting app)
Just redone everything from the start, the very start:
Restored default Chinese rom shipped with the tab with the tool xiaomitool v2
Restored every (maybe) messed up partition with the tool above
Installed latest official twrp.
Jumped into recovery, format data (typing yes) then system/cache/vendor (this last one maybe was not to format?)
Installed Los 20 adding to queue, zip of nikgapps and magisk (even if at this time I don't need it, just future proof) and booted into Los 20 successfully. Except for the gyroscope not working again

Yes I formatted DATA partition but not the internal storage.

It is impossible. Formatting DATA erases the internal storage. Factory reset is different from formatting data.

The gyroscope is working fine on my Mi Pad 4. Sorry i can't help you.

El giroscopio aún no funciona (y no lo encuentra una aplicación de solución de problemas)
Acabo de rehacer todo desde el principio, desde el principio:
ROM china con defecto restaurada enviada con la pestaña con la herramienta xiaomitool v2
Restaurado cada (tal vez) partición en mal estado con la herramienta anterior
Instalado el último twrp oficial.
Saltó a la recuperación, formatee los datos (escribiendo sí) y luego sistema/caché/proveedor (¿este último tal vez no fue para formatear?)
Instalé Los 20 agregando a la cola, zip de nikgapps y magisk (incluso si en este momento no lo necesito, solo prueba futura) y arranqué Los 20 con éxito. Excepto por el giroscopio que no vuelve a funcionar.

OMG very sorry, my bad. I only wiped the Data partition instead of Format Data, the reason is I want to keep my data. Yes, I'll try another time when I have time to back up my storage. Thank you for your patience.

A mi me funciona todo, incluido el giroscopio. Llevo 4 dias con la ultima version y no encuentro ningun problema. Hay sonido, NETFLIX y Disney+ funcionan. Conexión con auriculares bluetooth por APTX. Todo muy fluido. Descarga de bateria sin excesos. Como lanzador utilizo el NOVA. El Jack de audio también funciona.

GYROSCOPE ISSUE SOLVED!
After googling here and there, I found a lot of people with the same problem in several different roms. The solution was posted by this guy here

I've download his attachment, made a new folder in TWRP - BACKUPS - RANDOMNAME and extract the content of zip there. Then, after a backup of my actual persist image, I've install over it (or better, restored) the downloaded one, reboot, and TA-DAA Everything working fine

For decrypt support of A12/13 FBE (file based encryption), TWRP 3.7.0_12 (12.1 branch) is required. The official TWRP 3.6.2_9/3.7.0_9 is 9 branch that doesn't support A12/13 FBE. The kernel version doesn't matter.
For switching between my LOS 19 (no encryption) and my LOS 20 (A13 FBE), formatting data is required.

Ah. So you are saying you would need TWRP 3.7.0_12 to install this ROM without formatting data but as it doesn't exist you have to?

Is 3.7.0_9-0 the correct version?

We would need non-existing TWRP 3.7.0_12 to decrypt A12/A13 FBE data partition. Formatting data is required to switch from non-FBE data partition to FBE data partition even with non-existing TWRP 3.7.0_12.
The official one (3.7.0_9-0) is the correct version.

Hi, does any1 get constant low volume static noise from the speakers? Not sure whether it's new rom or hardware issue, but I didn't notice it with LOS 19.1

But why do you want to install the latest rom with android 13 if the rom 19.1 with android 12 is going great? Do you know how many years it will take for version 12 to be obsolete? The mi pad 10 will be out by then! You have to delete everything to install 13, it's not worth it! at least for a few years.

Well, google backup restoring app data has become pretty good nowadays, so not so much to loose (not counting other backup options)
