Rename ending apk to zip and flash it via TWRP.
Same results. After the install it was asking me to select "slot a" or "slot b", it said current slot is "slot b". I chose "slot b" and clicked on reboot.
Do I boot to recovery, and install both the zip for lineage and the copy-partitions zip?

clean install = wipe everything before installing the ROM so there are no remnants of previous ROMs.
Also take care to flash TWRP to the slot you just installed the ROM in. Normally that is the inactive Slot while you might likely have flashed Magisk to the currently active slot.
Just a short information: Deep Sleep over night: 0,6%. Perfect.
Everything except root.
There is a method mentioned by @Bäcker a couple of pages back, apparently you can use some Magisk module to keep root.
you do not even need an extra module, its a feature Magisk offers directly.
Do your OTA ,then, before rebooting, enter Magisk Manager and select "install to inactive Slot (after OTA)"

I have been trying to find a custom ROMs ever since oneplus dropped for 6t. Many of the ROMs are EOL by themself (11/12 based), incomplete (anti-Google, need Magisk for bank apps, ...), or so-so battery performance.
I was also try to avoid android 13 because the WIP nature. It turned out that I was completely wrong. This ROM is
1. Very stable and everything I tried worked
2. It is a complete ROM with the essential Google stuff - I know this is a point of contention
3. I don't have to do anything and the bank apps just worked
4. The battery life is fantastic

Wish I have a spare oneplus 8 that I can send the OP to get it ported. The OxygenOS 12/13 are disasters the bad/unreliable mobile data is the killer. May be we can pool the resource.

I was told that we need new blobs to utilize slowmo. Glad that's not the case
This One Plus Apps works on 6/6T and also 5/5T on 19.1 and 20. Checked by myself. Recommend by me: Cam 3.2.105, Gallery 5.0.44, Clock and Weather. So wie have the best off all: this great Rom and nice things from OOS. And Rom Deepsleep constant 0,6% over night. It could not be better

Works on 6 / 6T3I'm sorry to break it to you but you lost your videos as you did not back them up.
learn from this, always have at least one physically independent backup of stuff which is important to you.
You can use many apps like "synchronize ultimate" to automatically backup your photos/videos to your NAS, Cloud, FTP - whatever you like.

Root: Download the most recent Magisk canary .apk
Either install with "adb install app-release.apk" or download directly on your device and install with the file manager (Files). Download the most recent boot.img for your device, from the corresponding recovery folder.
Copy boot.img to sdcard, patch boot.img with Magisk. Flash modified boot.img with fastboot flash boot magisk_patched-*****_*****.img

Note: You have to change one setting in gcam in order for it to work properly.

OTA Update instructions
1. Go to Settings -> System -> Updater
2. Reboot when prompted (you will loose root as boot.img is updated)
3. (optional) Flash Magisk-patched boot.img from fastboot to regain root
Safe to dirty flash over Lineageos 19.1, IF you completely uninstall Magisk before you do so.
Procedure:
1. Uninstall Magisk (complete uninstall) from Lineage 19.1, including all modules.2. Flash LineageOS 20.0 unofficial from recovery3. Reboot to system: adb install Magisk-v25.3.apk OR flash provided Magisk-v25.3.apk.zip from recovery.4. Profit
16Hello gents! Sorry for my prolonged absence, first I was (very) ill and then went sailing to clear my head. I'm back now and full of energy! Expect updates for fajita and enchilada tomorrow. Will read all your posts and reply tonight.

14New OTA available for enchilada, fajita cooking now.
- New kernel sources (4.9.335). I finally got around to merging with upstream. At this point in time, the oneplus 6 has the most recent kernel among all sdm845-devices for android. Currently working hard on a more recent version.
- Security patch December 2022.
- Android-13.0.0_r16 sources.
- Tons of other updates.
Delta update failed to install, will look into it for future updates (smaller size, very fast installation)
Still working on VoLTE-fixes, looks promising.12Development update:
I was cooking updated builds, when someone accidentally cut the power to our building.. Power should be restored today. Hopefully I can upload today, otherwise tomorrow.
