Yes, that's my whole pointOk, now I get it: it's not about the status bar itself but apps utilising full screen... Makes sense then, thank you.

Have you tried resetting it? I remember I had this once, with a different ROM, and a while ago.The fingerprint reader stopped working for me, It does not even seem to try to scan my finger, like it turns on but I dont get an error of wrong finger or anything. It does not work for unlocking the phone or access apps. I am on update from 1/7, but the updater says I am up to date.
Restarting the phone made it work for the first unlock, but then stops working altogether again. I will try these steps and see if it works, thanks!Have you tried resetting it? I remember I had this once, with a different ROM, and a while ago.
What I did then:
Settings > Security > remove Display lock >> set it to "none"
reboot (don't know whether that was necessary, but it didn't hurt either)
Then set a new locking pattern + setup fingerprint reader
Good luck!
1+hi everybody,
is it possible to install the rom with another (reduced) gapps instead of the integrated MindtheGapps? NikGapps oder microG?
perhaps: Install rom > flash twrp > reboot revovery > install gapps ?
So, this happened again today. I don't know if its usual for it to be so quickly recurrent. Only one thing was different though, it seemed to be attempting to read my fingerprint but failing to do so every time, saying that it was wrong every single time. Disabling the pattern and re-doing it all again solved it for now, but seems like it may come back to haunt me again sometime soon. Just throwing this out here in case it's something that could be patched.Restarting the phone made it work for the first unlock, but then stops working altogether again. EDIT: removing the pattern and fingerprint, rebooting and creating a new pattern and fingerprint worked, thanks!
I do have this occasionally, in those cases I use a different finger (I usually have the maximum of 5 prints setup, as - you never know), and one of those usually works.
I did have 3 fingerprints setup, well 2 for the right thumb and 1 for the left thumb, but neither worked. I did clean the surface yes, but It did not help. I have done the whole setup again, and it is currently working as it should, but I am dreadfully waiting for the moment I have to redo it again hahaI do have this occasionally, in those cases I use a different finger (I usually have the maximum of 5 prints setup, as - you never know), and one of those usually works.
Apart from that, no idea really. Maybe a hardware problem? Guess you already tried to clean the reader's surface...
Can you please test this module, if it is working or notI've been using this ROM for quite a while now, several month for sure.
No crashes and for me the fingerprint reader works every time.
Agree .... no problems .... no crashes .... works perfect.I've been using this ROM for quite a while now, several month for sure.

There are many sources here at xda explaining what you need to know.Hello,
I am using oneplus 6. I have used custom roms on many models before, but I did not have such an experience for Oneplus. How do I unlock the device? How to install custom recovery? Can anyone help with this knowledge?
Take your time. Nothing is more important than health.Hello gents! Sorry for my prolonged absence, first I was (very) ill and then went sailing to clear my head. I'm back now and full of energy! Expect updates for fajita and enchilada tomorrow. Will read all your posts and reply tonight.
Great to see that there's still interest for my rom![]()
I always find comments like these quite funny. As if the developer is not supposed to have a personal life beyond ROM development.Yeah he explained it and promised an update the day after... And then was not seen since last week's Wednesday. So I wouldn't put too much hope in that.
I think flashing official over this should theoretically work. Recovery will be overwritten with LOS one so that's not an issue. Only problem could be Gapps but in the worst case one should still be able to just reinstall Gapps. Just that that somebody maybe already tried that.
Just waiting for the code to be reviewed and approved, will upload a new build asap
