Do I have to keep extracting boot. Img from payload.bin every time I want to root with magisk?? Or can I use to previous patched boot..img from the previous build??

Last time I flashed magisk 25.2 zip in pixel recovery it gave me an error from what I remember and I had to extract the boot.img from payload.bin which was less than straightforward. But I still have the boot.img from previous build: presume this wouldn't work if I patched it through magisk?

i don't remember pixel recovery giving me that error
i always flash magisk.zip on recovery and never had problems.

you can try to flash zip again and send me a picture of whatever error you are facing.

otherwise just follow the method of patching boot.img

and yes you need to do this every time after updating the rom because boot.img gets overwritted

I recommend this ROM to everyone. It's 100 times better than stock MIUI. Very smooth. I have been using it for 2 days only. The only thing I noticed so far is that when writing Viber messages, sometimes Google keyboard makes micro stutters when pressing the space key in keyboard. I tried wiping the data and cache of GBoard but it didn't fix the issue. Maybe it's Viber and not the ROM itself. Other than that, everything working smoothly.

Update: It seems that uninstalling Gboard updates fixes the stuttering...

You need to sideload it through terminal, follow their guide and you'll be good to go

Im using BSG's modded Gcam and it works flawlessly in my case, it also supports the macro and ultra-wide cameras, you can download it on MIUI from Here and test it.
Another note, u can flash the MIUI camera app with magisk on PE (You need Root).
