I'm sorry to tell you the same story again.
After reinstalling and using it, I updated OTA and GPS works very, very slowly. The GPS is working, but the glonass and baiu satellites are not properly caught.

If you install it directly from Recovery, it works fine.

Could there be a problem with the OTA process?

It is not supposed to work like a button. It is just a fingerprint reader.

So did that hevc file playing actually worked? Cause all other 4.19 roms choke on it....Well they play it but cpu is spiking where on 4.4 roms i t play perfectly on GPU.

PS you have to test it in a normal app like galllery app, in mplayer it will always use hw decoding, its in apps like plex and quickpic or gallleries that it doesnt use HW as on 4.4 roms. (no idea way)

for example LOS 20 with 4.4 kernel -> no issues
los 20 with 4.19 kernel -> not working hw based

PE source seems DELAYED, I have done a HUGE update but can't publish yet.

PREWARNING:
1. If you have formatted a sdcard as internal storage now, pls format to external before next OTA or you will get BOOTLOOP and need clean flash to recover(loop for all data corruption), check #13 below for detail.
2. As this is a HUGE update, I maybe able to keep your data not corrupt(not force clean flash), but please prepare for factory reset for some funtion fix(Such as Phone, GPS, Adoptablre storage, Tethering...).

I'm in the process of installing the ROM. I just succesfully unlocked my Mi Pad 4. So everything is cleaned up. No Play Store


but stuck on flashing the recovery. It seems the recovery partition of Mi Pad 4 isn't 'recovery' ?

Instead of rebooting to recovery, the device rebooted to system.

I turned off my Mi Pad 4 again, hold Vol Up + Power to reboot to bootloader, but it's the default Mi Bootloader that showed up.

So is there a correct recovery partition here after unlocking?

UPDATE1:
OK, I can do

fastboot boot recovery.img

to push the recovery from my computer to device, but it doesn't rewrite the recovery on the device.

So what if I just flash the ROM from this state? Is it safe? Maybe I can flash the recovery later once the ROM installed?
