Only issues I'm having are unable to switch to 5G, Google Assistant doesn't work and pretty much the rest of the ROM is basically meh.
If you read the information regards AOSP ROMS, you will know that 5G does not work. Google Assistant works fine. The rest of the ROM is not OneUI which is fine by me as I detest OneUI. Stock Android is better.

Then please explain the use of having an Android Open Source Project ROM in a 5G device if one cannot then utilise the band...
I rarely use 5G and 4G works just fine for me. I also find 5G quite sporadic and it doesn't add anything as far as browsing or video and music streaming is concerned. I do not game either so for me 4G works fine. And it is not like you will be getting Android updates except for security patches.

My phone isn't even getting 4G!!! How do you think VoLTE works? Obviously the ROM chef has corrupted certain files - or indeed left them out of the build - because when my phone will not connect to my car stereo system for voice calls like it used to, the call quality is pathetic to be as fair as can be, it won't even use the notification sounds I've set in the Settings menu!

Never mind trying to fix it, because I hope this post serves as a warning to anyone planning to try this ROM. DON'T!!!

Well if your Carrier is using VoLTE it doesn't work as aosp doesn't understand the interface and will not work. It's not corrupted. This is across all Samsung devices and not limited to note 10.

If you are referring to any specific Bluetooth issues that were not in previous builds, it's likely QPR1 changes to BT that have cause the problem and nothing related to what maintainers have done. I've heard similar issues happening with other devices. And will be fixed.

I would avoid coming to the wrong conclusions without checking first.

I'm not "coming to conclusions" without first having fifteen years practice of installing open source firmware on smartphones, or the certified experience of both writing and installing operating systems programs on personal computers since I started high school forty two years ago this year, so please don't try to placate me or fob me off with petty nonsense about computing.
With that in mind, if I say a firmware's advertised feature is broken, THEN IT IS BROKEN! Before installing the latest iteration of the PixelExperience ROM onto my SM-N976B I was able to make voice calls through my car's factory stereo system via Bluetooth, but running the firmware yesterday I was neither able to do that nor connect to Australia's largest telecoms provider's 5G network even while standing at the base of one of their 5G towers!
WITH A 5G CAPABLE PHONE, MATE!!!!!
The message I'm trying to send is not complicated by any stretch of one's imagination...
Don't install this ROM if you have a Note 10+ 5G and want the ability to both connect to your telecoms provider's 5G network and make calls via Bluetooth.
As for you expressluke, you're best to avoid "coming to the wrong conclusions" about the technical expertise of members who have been supporting and providing to this forum informative comment that ]ACTUALLY WORKS for twice as long as you have, because at my age I've have had a gutfull of being treated like an idiot.

Good morning
I installed the PixelExperience_Plus_d2s-13.0-20230108-1426-OFFICIAL version, after doing a factory reset.
Bluetooth phone calls don't work, the speaker is buzzing.
I tried both with headphones and connected to the car, same problem.
can you help me? thank you

All the radio capabilities work from my end, so you must of messed something up user-side when flashing.

It's also extremely rude to talk to the maintainer of the ROM like that, no one owes you a single thing in terms of a working product, you didn't pay for anything to be completed or worked on, the maintainer has done this for the community so how about you take your pathetic boomer attitude and bugger off, it's obvious you're an angry older man so just go back to the pub where you belong and keep drinking.

Rom issues;

The installed pixel launcher seems to cause heavy lag to the system, I switched to lawnchair and have had no issues so far.

Wow, I just made an account to thank you for taking the developer in protection. People all around the community usually do act like the world owes them something. These developers are doing an amazing work in providing us with FREE software, and doing the work billion dollars worth companies wont. We should be thankful, and not act like they owe us something.

These guys provide faster updates than official channels of some companies usually do, and its really amazing the work they provide. I try to donate when I can to pixel experience, I own several devices and really enjoy using PE on them. in 99% of the cases I rarerely experience any bug.

This rom for instance for the note 10+ is amazing, buttery smooth, you can even install a fully working gcam on it and it works without a hitch.

The only bugs I have experienced so far are:
- Screen brightness not as good as on stock rom ( if set to same brightness level, stock rom is about 50% brighter )
- Bluetooth headphones microphone buzzing in recordings and I cant hear and cant be heard in bluetooth calls.

I hope these get solved soon, if not its also ok. When I remember back when google released pixel 6, the bugs on that software were so bad, phone was unusable.. And they have thousands of developers working on just the software. And here we have one professional, and he manages to do a better job.

Once again, whoever the developer is, providing us with this amazing work.

Thank you!

Why am I the one in the wrong for simply identifying the issues with a custom ROM when said firmware does not utilise the features and hardware of the device it was cooked for, not only on my device but a large number of other members of this forum who have trialled it? You need to stop the whole, "I can act as stupidly as I please but be damned anyone who calls me stupid!" rhetoric your response to my post implies.
Oh, and I'm NOT a "boomer". Baby boomers are people born between the years 1946 and 1964. With my year of birth being 1969 I am therefore a member of Generation X.
Here endeth the lesson.

Hi ExpressLuke,

Great rom and who cares about 5g and volte anyway I have flashed the latest build of PEP with PE recovery and I can confirm that when using bluetooth for voice calls only you can not hear any audio.
Works fine when listening to YouTube, movie, music.
Also happens when connected to car audio unit no voice for calls only.

Anyway thanks and keep up the great work much appreciated 👍

Merry Christmas XDA Note 10/+ users

A new build has been created and released for you all to install.

    Changelog as follows:

    - WireGuard integrated into kernel.
    - Works on latest and older 12 firmwares
    - Vendor partition reverted back to EXT4 from EROFS so now can be edited by the user.
    - F2FS filesystem support restored
    - Dynamic Encryption based on recovery (If TWRP is used, encryption will be disabled on flash)
    - Pixel Experience Recoveries are shipped, for user to flash if they want encryption.
    - OTA support included in all builds

    - Do note if you switch between not using encryption and using it, a data format is REQUIRED.

As some of you may be using Lineage recovery, installing the build will encrypt your data and you will be forced a data format. Backup your data and do a data format or simply switch to TWRP if you don't want headaches.

    Important Announcement!

Pixel Experience is going official for Galaxy Note10 series!

Regular non Plus version of PE is now available to download and install, check the first post for links.

OTA support has been added to the PE (non Plus) build and will be a valid way to update to future. (Next PE Plus build will include this too.)

Note: this can be dirty flashed over PE Plus if you already have that rom installed.
