Yes, I did today rollback and flashed this ROM. Everything gone smooth. You must download rollback package and do rollback to A11 A.20 then flash latest twrp and finally this ROM.

@lahaina There is some strange bug. I set device name in Bluetooth settings and after lock and unlock screen this name back to default (some random string). I'm starting using ROM as daily. Also there is a problem with connecting with my car Bluetooth system (it is Sync2 by Ford)

is there a way to access internal files from TWRP using this rom ? I read somewhere that it can be done by changing the filesystem ?

I'm running version 230405, and it comes across that apps can not use the light sensor.
I test it with "Automate" and "Sensor test".
Is this append to anyone else?

Hey guys, I just flashed that ROM yesterday, and it works very good. The level of personalization is very good(you can put the alert slider to do so many things rather than just muting!(see the screenshots) , battery life..still didn't test it very well, but I have good impressions about it.

So this is not a problem with this EvolutionX build, rather it's an Android 12/13 encryption with TWRP one as I just came to understand, but I just wanted to confirm that every user of this ROM should then have the same issue as me:

When I boot into TWRP (twrp-3.7.0_11-0-denniz) I cannot decrypt the /data/media/ folder, so I cannot mount it nor acces it using TWRP file explorer. This is without any pin / password set in Evolution, as well as with a pin, or a password (tried all three).

I made a post about it in this thread:

There I realized TWRP builds are specific to Android versions, and that A12/13 uses different encryption that doesn't work with TWRP builds for A11.
So is this the case and can everyone running Evolution or any other A12/13 ROM also not decrypt their /media/data/ partition?

Does anyone happen to have come across a TWRP build for denniz for A12/13? In the thread linked above they gave me instructions for making such a build, but that is a bit above my level :/ If anyone wants to try and get it done together I'm in ofcourse, but I'm not a dev and it has been many years since working with git and make.

I guess it's not that much of a problem as there are workarounds for most things I see myself needing to do.

The only thing I don't know how to get around is making a NANDROID backup with TWRP. It normally saves to /data/media/TWRP, but as this is not accessible, is there any way to change the location where TWRP saves backups?

    Tl;dr:
    • Everyone here have TWRP decryption problems of the /data/media partition?
    • Anyone know about a TWRP build for denniz for A12/13? Or wants to try and build it together using instructions in the linked thread?
    • (How to make NANDROID backup in TWRP to another location than the default /data/media/TWRP, which is not decryptable?)

P.S: I love EvolutionX! Many thanks for making this possible @lahaina !
I remember the depressing times when we thought we wouldn't get any great ROMs for denniz, because of the mediatek chip and OP not releasing the firmware, but here we are <3

    2
    Update 20221225
    - Fixed display black-out when brightness too higher.
    - Evolution X replaced Pixel Launcher to own launcher, because battery drain too much
    - Added Pallarel Space features
*This update needs clean flash, so backup your data before flashing.
    2
This may be unavoidable due to the nature of custom ROMs.
Sorry i don't know about fiddling with vibrations.
Well, I think it may be possible because running `echo 1 > /sys/class/leds/vibrator/motor_old` (as root) causes the haptic motor to knock (knock? spin? run?).
