I have an old crDroid 7.10 A11 from September 2021 installed. Can I upgrade to the new version of crDroid 9.x A13 with all data saved? OnePlus 8Pro

No, you have to upgrade your stock ROM to oos 12, unlock bootloader again, upgrade the firmware with fw.zip and clean flash the latest cr9. I come from the upgraded oos12 stock and use the latest fw.zips to upgrade the stock rom firmware. I don't know if it possible to use it, to upgrade from oos11.
But that's the way how i upgrade to the new one.

For everyone who can't get Android Auto to work, I think I've found the solution.

First, you need to install the NikGapps Android Auto addon zip from here: https://tinyurl.com/4xyhrfem

Then, you need to go into developer options and find the default USB configuration option. Make sure this is set to File transfer.

After this, Android Auto should work (tested on latest crDroid 9.5 build). Hope this helps.

Edit: this also applies to the Google Assistant. I couldn't get voice responses to work so installed the NikGapps Google Search addon and it works flawlessly now.

so flashing over will not cause any problems? I ask because some rom developers insist gapps are only flashed once right after clean install.
I never had any problems flashing a newer gapps over an older one.
Maybe depends on the rom... I can not guarantee it will work.
But using that old version will make problem, as far as I was told.
So your choice. Pest or Cholera. ;)
