In display settings you should verify that "prevent accidental wake up" is unchecked, it is a very probable cause. I had set it last week and faced the same issue. Also try disabling some google apps as I said a few pages ago.
Yup.. It is unchecked..i have disabled many gapps too.. Still dint help.. And yes it is a clean flash.. Any other solution?

It could also be a 3rd party app or services eating battery. Check ruining services in dev settings. Also if AOD is enabled it can eat a lot of battery. you can try setting your network to 3g 4g or 3g only to see if it is a radio issue (antenna switching and bad reception are a battery monger). Are NFC and gps off? Did you check no app use location in background?

Hello everyone !

PixelOS installed 1 week ago. Reduced autonomy compared to MIUI at the beginning, now it seems to have gotten used to it. I activated a lot of options to save battery.

I mainly switched to PixelOS to test Pixel Launcher, but also because I had problems with the WIFI on my poco. The activation of the wifi fail, when it managed to activate, I saw no network. And when it worked, not possible to connect to it or disconnected after a few seconds. In the end, it's better but switching to PixelOS did not solve my problem... In short.

So I take advantage of PixelOS and I like it a lot!
Some regrets, like customization, not much, see almost no possibility. I would have liked more colors. I saw that you could tinker with this but you had to be root. To see.
And the jerky bluetooth with my sony WF-1000XM4 in LDAC. While on MIUI it worked correctly. I reduced the sampling, it works well at first but after 15 minutes of listening, it starts not working again. And the settings are reset in the developer options.

There you go! Overall I'm happy to have switched to PixelOS, MIUI was starting to tire me, after being there for quite a few years.

If you want adblocking while browsing you could try Samsung browser with adguard or AdBlock extension . It is not system wide but better than nothing

Hi Zeetaa. No ETA, but I was wondering what changes would come in the next build besides MIUI cam? I've seen march update for pixel comes with new features like health connect or "direct my call" which seems really useful. Otherwise I've been on last build for a few weeks and it is rock solid with good battery life, no bugs for me on recommended firmware!

Clean flash (coming from a different ROM):
• Download ROM from the link above
• Format data, wipe data/cache/metadata
• Flash FW from the link above
• Flash ROM
• Reboot recovery
• Flash magisk (Optional)
• Format data and reboot
1、How to flash recovery?
fastboot flash boot xxx
fastboot boot xxx
fastboot flash boot_ab xxx
fastboot flash vendor_boot_ab xxx
...
The above methods were tried without success.
Why do I have success with LineageOS, PixelExperience and ArrowOS, but not with PixelOS in any way?

2、How to flash “FW”?

3、The swipe instructions were too brief and wasted too much time on various failed attempts.

In the end it still didn't work out.

Your issues are not linked to pixel os, it is just a lack of experience which can be solved with a bit on reading on other threads^^. Johnr64 as just made a good guide there Post in thread 'Best custom rom' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/best-custom-rom.4275947/post-88402309

I was just about to flash sparkos, but we'll I guess I am gonna stick to pixel os for 2 more months xD thanks for the welcome fixes and additions (Leica cam is back)! It is a pity for Dolby but it messed up a lot of there roms Ive tried and let's face it : it is just an artificial equalizer. Have you switched to 14.x blobs or do you still recommend to stick on 13.0.x firmware?

I've dirty flashed the update coming from February update and there is 3 applications that are not working (but they were working before). Vodafone app, a banking app called ADIB, and a banking app called InstaPay. Is there any solution as these apps are really important?

Tried re-installing?

Is this ROM a standard rom or Vendor_boot rom?
I have searched all the thread with no answer.
    This is vendor_boot rom.
All roms with boot and vendor_boot images for booting are vendor_boot.

Poor communication. The main website didn't say anything about clean flash and neither was it told here. Had to reflash to august to get it working again. Looks like I'm not updating at all anymore or switching, don't want to factory reset at all.

Installed Sept through OTA, went smoothly, reset and got stuck at PIXEL OS recovery.

Panicked, restarted device several times and it managed to boot up, firmware back to August.

I read the notes and dirty flash needing a clean wipe wasn't mentioned anywhere. Would have really helped.

    Sighz.

Both on previous and on the latest version fingerprint fails to wake the screen but unlocks the phone (happens 2/10 times), did not happen on july version.
On all tried versions pocket mode sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, my phone wakes up in my pocket on the emergency dialer when it does not. Disabling raise to wake and double tap to wake is my temporary solution.
Other than these issues on the previous 2 versions battery has definetly improved and it is an amazing and very stable rom.

Since XDA IS not regularly updated and even pixel os website doesn't always mention up to date information, no wonder so many of us dirty flashed last update and got stuck (a factory reset does the trick). Guys from pixel os should in those case publish the warnings in a visible way before releasing the ROM. It is a pity this thread is not updated when new releases comes out, a lot of people like me seem to prefer XDA to telegram.

PixelOS is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, themed icons, google sans fonts, Monet color based system wide theming, boot animation), a fork of OG Pixel Experience with improvements on the top of it. Huge respect to Pixel Experience team for their work, thanks to them for making this ROM possible.
In short a fully functional Pixel Experience with just the right amount of essentials.

    Code:
/* Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

    Improvements over PixelExperience

    None

    Someone told Miui Camera? 👀
    10
You know, i'll write my own instructions. Since the Installation instructions aren't really that documented (as pixel experiences ones, for example) this is how i did it:

Make sure the bootloader is unlocked!

    Installation:

    1. I started with clean installing the latest MIUI. Here are the instructions to do that:
1a. Download Mi Flash Tool from
    here.
1b. Install the drivers. Can be done from Mi Flash Tool or Mi Unlock Tool.
1c. Download the latest MIUI ROM from here
(pick the latest one for your country that has a fastboot option, for example:
POCO F3 EEA Stable Fastboot V13.0.9.0.SKHEUXM)
1d. Download the latest firmware from
    here
(again, pick the latest one for your country.)
1e. Enter Fastboot mode, turn off your F3 and hold the volume down with the power button, once you see the poco logo, release the power button and when the fastboot logo appears, release the volume down button.
1f. Open Mi Flash Tool (Warning! It may crash while installing the drivers! To fix this, create a folder named "log" in the directory you launched the Flash tool.)
1g. Select the MIUI ROM folder, (extracted, it goes like this -> tar.gz -> tar -> folder, recommend using 7zip/winrar!)
1h. Select flash-all.bat, DO NOT select flash-all-lock, that will lock your bootloader. And flash!
1i. Complete the MIUI 13 Setup, DO NOT set a pin/fingerprint scanner.
1j. Enable USB Debugging. And we can finally get to flashing the rom!

    2. Download platform-tools from
    here.
2a. Extract it and open cmd.
2b. While in the platform-tools directory, type "adb devices"
Your device should ask to enable usb debugging on this computer, click yes.
2c. Type "adb reboot bootloader" check if it detected it by using "fastboot devices" and if yes, we are getting to flashing it!
2d. Now, download the latest build and recovery from
    here.
2e. Flash the recovery using "fastboot flash boot <recovery_filename>.img
(replace the things i type in <> with proper file names)
    2f. Reboot using "fastboot reboot-recovery"
2g. Bootloop? Doesn't work? Try using orangefox recovery. For that, you have to flash twrp. Here are the instructions:
    1. Download TWRP from
here. (Select 3.6.1 for proper function!)
    2. Type "fastboot boot <TWRP_xxx>.img"
    3. In TWRP, go to Wipe, and Format Data. Type yes.
    4. Download OrangeFox from
    here.
    5. Type "adb push <OrangeFox_recovery.img> /sdcard
    6. Go to install, and install OrangeFox!
    7.Reboot

    3. Now, the problem is i dont know how the PixelOS Recovery is, soooo, uhhh i dunno.

    4. Meanwhile OrangeFox:

    1. Go to Wipe, and erase:
    Dalvik, Metadata, Data, Internal Storage
    2. Well again. Type "adb push <PixelOS.zip>"
    3. Flash it by clicking on it.
    4. MAKE SURE TO NOTICE WHAT SLOT IT SAYS. A or B.
    5. Flash the firmware. Type "adb push <xiaomi-firmware>.img" and flash it.
    6. After flashing, restart, if the SLOT is A, and it said B, switch to B and reboot. The same for the opposite, if it said A, and it's A, just restart.

    Dirty Flashing is simple tho:
    1.Boot to orangefox
    2.Flash the ROM
    3.Reboot

Done! This took me so long, ugh why did i do this to myself.
Also, uh you can flash magisk after the firmware or something i dont use it so i dont know the process :)
