Thank you. In all the time I've ran Custom Roms, I've never dirty flashed, but I'm going to attempt it this time around as I cannot afford to lose the data already stored/installed on my phone. Hopefully, all goes well. I'll attempt the dirty flash in the coming days and will report back with my experience.

So after downloading the files onto a Fat32 USB as seen in the screenshot below:
Update Files.jpg

When rebooting into TWRP Recovery, and Mounting and Selecting USB-OTG, I'm unable to find the two zip files in the folder in the screenshot above to install. This can be seen in the screenshot below.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? How do I go about finding and installing the necessary zip files for a Dirty Flash?

Thanks and I look forward to your response.

Hi,

wanted to clean flash 13 May 2023 build but in recovery section there is a dtbo-alioth-20230513.img file along with recovery boot-alioth-20230513.img.
do i need to flash it (dtbo-alioth-20230513.img) as well or can be ignored?
I flash both because I'm curious. I flash both using TWRP. As of now I don't have any problem encountering other than leica camera not recording when movie frame is on and i think it's the leica camera app itself have problem

Did you format your flashdrive before copying the file?
I think your flashdrive has multiple partition / it's been use as bootable drive. Format it first then copy the file

Just installed the ROM, works awesome as far as I've seen, thanks for the hard work!

The ROM comes with 2 camera apps right? A basic camera app and one that comes with Leica? Is the Leica camera GCam?

There was something wrong with my power button earlier today, after many failed reboots, my phone has been stuck at the google updating stage for long time, and then just reboot and stuck again, any suggestion how can I solve this problem?
I tried to reflash the same rom, but still no luck to get it working.

more info would help , but with just the little info you HAVE provided sounds like a hardware issue.

You mean the current Version (May build) of Pixel OS? I use this for 10 days without any Problems. But you realy have to follow the Installation guide from the maintainer.
Thanks, I've installed it, works really good.

However, there's a huge battery drain overnight, from 63% to 36%.
I've disabled AOD and other features related to screen, as well as set Kprofile to Battery mode.
Hope it works out.

SOLVED under device manager it was listed under Acer media device ? figure that out but after right clicking and telling it to update driver , it fix it and showed up under portable devices like it should ..

great rom only problem I have is after flash PC blindows 11 fails to see phone after flash , have usb debug on and file transfer under D.O. have the latest drivers installed , can communicate via fastboot , but just plugging it in windows make the connection noise and can't see nothing under file explorer , tried flashing twice same results no flags under device manager , when I plug phone into PC never get the question to allow access on the phone , like every other rom , any help would be great :UPDATE I have no problem under Linux mint works as should so its a Windows thing

I added KernelSU to this kernel, but there seem to be some issues with certain modules of ksu in this kernel. Overall, it’s still pretty good!

Anyone else having issues with video recording? Phone seems to think every short video is at least 1:20m long and it just runs audio with the static first frame. If you skip forward it kind of fixes itself to run the video, but that isn't a solution.

Poor communication. The main website didn't say anything about clean flash and neither was it told here. Had to reflash to august to get it working again. Looks like I'm not updating at all anymore or switching, don't want to factory reset at all.

Installed Sept through OTA, went smoothly, reset and got stuck at PIXEL OS recovery.

Panicked, restarted device several times and it managed to boot up, firmware back to August.

I read the notes and dirty flash needing a clean wipe wasn't mentioned anywhere. Would have really helped.

    Sighz.

The release 20230821 works well on my device.
Before updating from the July version, this time I have decided to test the OrangeFox recovery (previously I was using TWRP, skkk version).

This is the workflow I followed:
    1. download PixelOS -> PixelOS_alioth-13.0-20230821-1332.zip
    2. download FW 14.0.9.0 -> fw_alioth_miui_ALIOTHEEAGlobal_V14.0.9.0.TKHEUXM_9e74ef6f25_13.0.zip
    3. download recovery -> [email protected]_3_A12.zip
    4. OPTIONAL download Magisk -> Magisk-v26.1.apk
    5. copy PixelOS, FW, recovery and Magisk to an USB stick
    6. reboot Poco F3 to recovery (the TWRP, skkk version)
    7. plug the USB stick into the phone, mount the stick, and flash the OrangeFox recovery. Then reboot to recovery again, this time to OrangeFox
    8. mount the USB stick, flash the firmware 14.0.9.0, no reboot needed
    9. flash PixelOS 20230821
    10. reboot to PixelOS
    11. OPTIONAL if you need root, reboot again to recovery, mount the stick and flash Magisk, then reboot to system
Every time I flash something, I keep the flag "Reflash OrangeFox after flashing a ROM". I have used FW 14.0.9.0 EU, but you can use Global or your region.

Thank you @Zeetaa for the ROM!

The same exact thing happened to me.. :( Haven't tested it much. Are you able to confirm if the pixel launcher battery drain issue has been fixed?

PixelOS is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, themed icons, google sans fonts, Monet color based system wide theming, boot animation), a fork of OG Pixel Experience with improvements on the top of it. Huge respect to Pixel Experience team for their work, thanks to them for making this ROM possible.
In short a fully functional Pixel Experience with just the right amount of essentials.

    Code:
/* Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

    Someone told Miui Camera? 👀
    10
You know, i'll write my own instructions. Since the Installation instructions aren't really that documented (as pixel experiences ones, for example) this is how i did it:

Make sure the bootloader is unlocked!

    Installation:

    1. I started with clean installing the latest MIUI. Here are the instructions to do that:
1a. Download Mi Flash Tool from
    here.
1b. Install the drivers. Can be done from Mi Flash Tool or Mi Unlock Tool.
1c. Download the latest MIUI ROM from here
(pick the latest one for your country that has a fastboot option, for example:
POCO F3 EEA Stable Fastboot V13.0.9.0.SKHEUXM)
1d. Download the latest firmware from
    here
(again, pick the latest one for your country.)
1e. Enter Fastboot mode, turn off your F3 and hold the volume down with the power button, once you see the poco logo, release the power button and when the fastboot logo appears, release the volume down button.
1f. Open Mi Flash Tool (Warning! It may crash while installing the drivers! To fix this, create a folder named "log" in the directory you launched the Flash tool.)
1g. Select the MIUI ROM folder, (extracted, it goes like this -> tar.gz -> tar -> folder, recommend using 7zip/winrar!)
1h. Select flash-all.bat, DO NOT select flash-all-lock, that will lock your bootloader. And flash!
1i. Complete the MIUI 13 Setup, DO NOT set a pin/fingerprint scanner.
1j. Enable USB Debugging. And we can finally get to flashing the rom!

    2. Download platform-tools from
    here.
2a. Extract it and open cmd.
2b. While in the platform-tools directory, type "adb devices"
Your device should ask to enable usb debugging on this computer, click yes.
2c. Type "adb reboot bootloader" check if it detected it by using "fastboot devices" and if yes, we are getting to flashing it!
2d. Now, download the latest build and recovery from
    here.
2e. Flash the recovery using "fastboot flash boot <recovery_filename>.img
(replace the things i type in <> with proper file names)
    2f. Reboot using "fastboot reboot-recovery"
2g. Bootloop? Doesn't work? Try using orangefox recovery. For that, you have to flash twrp. Here are the instructions:
    1. Download TWRP from
here. (Select 3.6.1 for proper function!)
    2. Type "fastboot boot <TWRP_xxx>.img"
    3. In TWRP, go to Wipe, and Format Data. Type yes.
    4. Download OrangeFox from
    here.
    5. Type "adb push <OrangeFox_recovery.img> /sdcard
    6. Go to install, and install OrangeFox!
    7.Reboot

    3. Now, the problem is i dont know how the PixelOS Recovery is, soooo, uhhh i dunno.

    4. Meanwhile OrangeFox:

    1. Go to Wipe, and erase:
    Dalvik, Metadata, Data, Internal Storage
    2. Well again. Type "adb push <PixelOS.zip>"
    3. Flash it by clicking on it.
    4. MAKE SURE TO NOTICE WHAT SLOT IT SAYS. A or B.
    5. Flash the firmware. Type "adb push <xiaomi-firmware>.img" and flash it.
    6. After flashing, restart, if the SLOT is A, and it said B, switch to B and reboot. The same for the opposite, if it said A, and it's A, just restart.

    Dirty Flashing is simple tho:
    1.Boot to orangefox
    2.Flash the ROM
    3.Reboot

Done! This took me so long, ugh why did i do this to myself.
Also, uh you can flash magisk after the firmware or something i dont use it so i dont know the process :)
