Hi Everyone,

I am not that much familiar with where I should be posting issues. Anyway, what I have noticed in my RedmiNote10 Pro Max is that after I disable dark mode, it still has dark mode in the notification panel. Is this bug or by design? It would be great if Notification panel also had light theme. Please have a look at screenshots attached herewith. Let me know if any additional information is required.

Thanks,
Nishantey

It's not a bug. This is the way it's on Pixel devices with official rom

Just some random feedback: Switched from ArrowOS at the weekend and was positively surprised that I didn't lose any data and didn't have to reinstall anything. The only necessary step was adding the network permission to all apps needing it and a single reboot. No issues whatsoever.

A big plus is the original camera app without rooting or manual installation because GCam wasn't all that great and stable. GCam was an impressive upgrade on my previous Mi A1 but on the Redmi Note 10 Pro I am quite underwhelmed.

My wife has the exact same model but still with MIUI. I believe the colors are more vibrant on MIUI than with custom roms even when I set the colour mode to boosted. Or am I imagining things?

Callrecording doesnt work propperly anymore, After Security patch 5 February 2023.

Recording apps or Google dialer doesn't record sound anymore. I hear only a blip/crack sound and that is only thing what I hear.

Only thing is working is a call recording module/app made by skvalex, he did some changes to his app after 5th feb update. If possible please look into this.

Hi guys. I am newbie and I just flash the newer version of PE. It was excellent for me and no issues found. The big issues.
But I flash the custom kernel other than vantom. And I found there's no issues after that.

And I have rooted my device. If there's newer update. I want to dirty flashed if possible. Do I have to install it from the Custom recovery and just clean dalvik and cache and reboot to system.?Please answer Thanks..

Can you explain to me why? When this is sited on the clean flash instruction:

"Download the latest MIUI 13 firmware for your region"

The latest February build needs miui 14. The developers telegram channel has all the info you neee but if your flashing the latest February build you definitely need miui 14 which is available on his telegram group

Great. Do u know if dirty flashing the A13 version from the Evo X A13 version will work?
I don't. I dirty flashed the previous version coming from ArrowOS. Didn't have any noteworthy issues but can't vouch for any other route. I remember having to add the network permission to many apps but that was expected and no trouble.

That's because the launcher got reversed to Pixel Launcher. Please read the changelog
Update resetted my startscreen and reactivated the Google app when sliding to the right. I disabled this and the clock/Date on the Main screen. Now all App symbols and my weather widget are gone. Not a big deal but shouldn't an update leave those settings just like they are? Installed update via updater not recovery.

I guess that applies only when using the default launcher. I have been using a different launcher, so the replacement of the default launcher had none of these effects here.

I would install a different launcher because I never like the default launcher on any device. My favourite is KISS Launcher but if you prefer a more conventional launcher with almost infinite customization options, I would suggest Nova Launcher.
Yeah I'm trying Lawnchair now. I didn't use it before because of a small buggy animation when going into recent apps. It's fixed now so giving it a try.

Thanks for already providing an update. The alarm did work but the phone obviously had rebooted.

PixelOS is an AOSP-based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies. We aim to provide an experience similar to Google Pixel phones with numerous performance enhancements and a small amount of useful additional features.

    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

The PixelOS August update is here.

Downloads and changelogs can be found here

Seen a few of you who had issues with smp2p_sleepstate. Should be fixed in this build. Enjoy!

On my device I've found that sometimes my phone wasn't going to deep sleep because of smp2p_sleepstate wakelock.
I've decided to disable this kernel module and see what happens. I'm using this configuration since few days and I'm rather happy with the results - I don't see any regressions after disabling the module and my battery drain issue is solved. At least from this particular reason.

So I'd like to share the build.

As always, You're flashing this at your own risk. I don't know if this will work on any other rom than PixelOS (most probably will work. I'm not sure about miui based roms. Feel free to try).

It's regular Vantom kernel, compiled with latest commit 3c6e92509e0ad1aca8419db926b2cc82b1c5acb1 (HEAD -> courbet-12.1, origin/courbet-12.1).
Following changes have been made in comparing to defconfig:
    Diff:
    1c1
    < CONFIG_LOCALVERSION="-VantomKernel"
    ---
    > CONFIG_LOCALVERSION="-VantomKernel-Cthulhu-fhtagn"
    55c55
    < CONFIG_LTO_CLANG=y
    ---
    > CONFIG_LTO_NONE=y
    702c702
    < CONFIG_QCOM_SMP2P_SLEEPSTATE=y
    ---
    > CONFIG_QCOM_SMP2P_SLEEPSTATE=n

For best results use this with Naptime app and Google play services doze option checked.

Quick hotfix update for the July patch as I wasn't sure if we would have another Android 12 release as 13 is right around the corner.

    - Import the new display calibration file from MIUI V13.0.10.0.SKFEUXM
    - Update the s5kgw3 camera libraries from MIUI V13.0.5.0.SKFINXM
    - Imported a few missing display blobs
    - Address Xiaomi's displayfeature & citsensorservice denials

    - Added high touch polling rate
    - Disabled IORAP
    - Updated the Adreno stack

So does PixelOS Recovery support data decryption? It's a little hard to tell from this wording (since it is also by definition a custom recovery).

And if it does, is there a way to use it to mount decrypted /data and tar its contents up, with SELinux labels etc.? I'm willing to get my hands very dirty if it means I can avoid setting up the phone by hand again.
Hello, I've compiled a TWRP build that supports decrypting /data on Android 12 as well as supporting EROFS. It's a very early build but it does the job and I haven't run into any issues here. Enjoy!
