In the latest update, the pixel launcher does not agree to change the wallpaper and the icons, nor does it allow you to uninstall or reinstall the pixel launcher application
It was my mistake, apparently I left the phone encrypted and the twrp I had didn't support encryption, reinstalled and changed the twrp to a more current version and now it's fine again

The flashing instruction for the custom recovery (updating to newer build) link above is WRONG.

Below is the correct one.

Updating to a newer build (dirty flash):

  • Wipe cache, dalvik, and system_ext
  • Flash ROM zip, Magisk (optional), and reboot
Wasted a lot of time because of this.

I am having Bluetooth connectivity issues with my watch from this build.
The watch does not automatically reconnect after disconnecting or disconnects after phone is on standby for too long.
This didn't happened before. Application and watch Firmware is the same. Only the thing changed is ROM.

Can I follow these steps to update my February 2023 version using TWRP? Will I lose any data in the process?

After dirty flesh to newer PixelOS beryllium (11 May 2023) brightness slider is completely missing from QS. Tried dirty flash multiple times. Wiped cache, dalvik, system. I have no idea what's wrong :,(

EDIT:
Solved using AOSP Mods.

Very well done ROM, the only issue I'm facing is heat when even watching youtube which is a bit concerning.
sometimes animations also lag, very likely caused by the same heat.

Edit: The heat issue apperently was from my side it's fixed after another clean flash

after checking battery consumption it appears to be the launcher that is consuming a lot, I switched launchers and it's better now.
You can try nova launcher

After over a year of Pixel Experience on Android 12, I decided to upgrade to 13. I first tried LineageOS 20, but got disappointed by the lack of features I was used to (can't copy text in Recent Apps screen, no double-tap power button for camera, different launcher that didn't restore my app layout\, or removed entirely, and lots of outdated stock Android apps I didn't want). I think LineageOS is great if you don't want Google Apps, and their stock Camera app is nice, but I preferred what I had before, so I'm now giving PixelOS a shot.

Tutorials weren't the clearest, but I already know what I'm doing, and the installation through official recovery was easy. And so far, everything is perfect. All the pixel features, and extra features and attention to details, like disabling restricted screenshots, Repainter app support, and even rounded corners in the app list that fit the phone's screen. Very happy with the OS! Thank you Sajid and the PixelOS team!

May update was laggy especially in battery saver mode and when switched on after standby.
Please bring back profiles/kernel from February build. It was the best. No heating issues and performance was also good. I have been using February ROM since then. It's working great. It would be nice if July update has the same profile.

I've tried multiple recoveries including the twrp-beryllium-v3.7.0-A12-NSE-V2 that was recommended for this rom. Yet whenever i try to boot into system it boots back into recovery. Any suggestions on how to fix this ?

twrp-beryllium-v3.7.0-A12-V2.img - This was the recovery which was recommend with this ROM, not the NSE. You can also try latest PixelOS Recovery which comes with each build.

I managed to install the rom with the NSE recovery already. Then flashed this recovery that you suggested. Is that sufficient now or do i need to wipe and install everything again for a bug free experience ?
