Tried OTA update, but it throws back to Recovery. I tried wiping dalvik and cache but still it goes back to Rec.
Do I need to install anything else? I'm not rooted.

This Android 13 Rom is pretty smooth. Things need to fix are (as louislfr said):

In the system, I cannot disable the "in brief" pixel function (the hour in the top of homescreen) which remains always activated and no button can disable it.

Same problem with the Google search bar at the bottom of the home screen.

Awesome ROM! Vibration on call connect is available, and the small clock on qs is really a huge plus. Makes the whole rom smoother. No problems found so far. Absolutely impressed by the ROM's performance.

The "Swipe fingerprint for notifications" setting seems to be missing/hidden.
It shows up in search but once I tap on it, it doesn't show up in the gesture settings.

Does it not work with the fingerprint sensor?

Hi, my mum has this phone (8t) with Pixel Experience. I have PixelOS but on my Poco F3.

She is not that impressed with the battery in PE since I put her on Android 13. Is the battery better with PixelOS?
Thanks in advance.

The option shows in search because rom is based on pixel phones and those phones have this feature. Our device doesn't support it so you can't enable it.

oh...
Do the pixels have a special fingerprint scanner that can detect swipes? (curious how it works)
Good question but I don't know the answer to it. I had a LeEco LeMax 2 and when I was using ROMs on it, once a ROM got updated with this feature and the battery drain had increased significantly after that, and swiping wasn't really smooth. That's my only experience with that feature so far, hence can't really say anything for sure.

My alarm volume is automatically being set to low, and I have been missing alarms due to this. Yesterday I set my alarm for 6AM and checked that my alarm volume is 100%. This morning I get a call from my friend at 6:30 telling me to wake up, and I check my phone it's showing me notification that I missed alarm because my alarm volume was low, but I never touched it!!
This rom is perfect. I can use it for months, but this issue is really deal breaking. I can't just ignore this one. Can anyone please help me here? This has happened with me thrice now. I don't wanna change roms but if I can't find a solution then unfortunately that'll be my only choice left.

I've been using this rom since March and alarm is working fine for me.

Since a few days it became borderline unusable. No words can describe how unusable did it get. I installed PixelOS because I wanted to leave the terrible, slow MIUI behind. PixelOS worked for half a year and now it became even less usable then MIUI. If I leave even more than 1 app in the background it starts crashing, System UI is not responding. Also, Bluetooth keeps turning on and off, again which was present in MIUI WHICH I WANTED TO LEAVE BEHIND. I'm on the 2023 01 22 update, with 33 gigs of free space. The phone is rooted. Has Riru, Riru LSPosed and systemless hosts installed in Magisk, and Call recording, ChatHeadEnabler and Disable FLAG_SECURE installed in LSPosed. If you need any more information, feel free to ask me.

Great rom! I clean flashed it again on 23 may 2023, couldn't find a single bug yet. Smooth all around. No glitches, crashes, bugs. UI looks clean and consistent. Qs works lag free. This is going to be my daily driver now I don't even need to look at other options.

edit: Solved, I needed to see the APN settings in a mobile that works with mobile data, since the ones that the ROM brings by default are wrong.

    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

    • 48MP doesn't work in MIUI Camera

    Encryption FAQ

Encryption means converting your data into an unreadable (encrypted) format which prevents it from being read without first being decrypted, increasing security as those who don't know the key (in this case password or PIN) to decrypting the data won't be able to read the data, they'll just get jumbled characters.

On the other hand, leaving the phone decrypted or forcing decryption will allow anyone access to that data without issue.

Most ROMs are encrypted by default. When formatting data during the flashing process, this allows the data partition to be encrypted when the phone boots.

    In short:
    1. If you prefer your data being secure and aren't planning on changing ROMs frequently, leave the builds encrypted.
    2. If you plan on flashing different ROMs on a regular basis, decryption may be an easier option though less secure.

Can I flash magisk on encrypted builds with PixelOS recovery?
    Yes, you can sideload it

    How to flash encrypted builds?
    - Reboot to fastboot mode
    - Flash PixelOS recovery fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
    - Sideload ROM using ADB
    - Go to Advanced and Format Data
