Hi, just installed the April update and lost 2 button gesture navigation on my phone... I relied on that feature because this phone is too wide for 1 handed use for me and the other options hindered my performance when using the phone, is there a way to re-enable this option while still keeping the April update? I believed it was removed within settings. Thank you.

Hi! Just to point out some things that got broken after the new update:
1)Some icons have smaller size in settings
2)Lock Screen shortcuts have disappeared entirely even from settings.

Awesome Rom so far, nice being able to hold onto my 7 pro for longer. Just wondering if there's any plans for the oxygen os camera now that there's a couple other A13 roms that support it. I've tried a couple different gcam versions/config but haven't had great luck so far. Thanks!
I second this. Out of the box OOS cam would be great as I can't seem to get the front camera to work at all using GCam

I went through a few and found this Wichaya version with everything working apart from slo-mo.
I had to roll back to the March 12th update and reset my whole device. Out of 69(giggity)gb worth of data since this was my daily driver and had no time to backup and not get to work. I was missing practically all of my phone calls and whenever I try to make a call, it immediately drops. When I use textnow with speaker on, my phone shuts down. 2 gesture navigation disappeared within the settings, and dirty flashing the downgrade resulted in a bootloop. That April update was worse than beta and needs to be recalled.
I'm currently still on Feb 9.1 update since when I updated from 9.0 to 9.1 it corrupted my data and I was forced to wipe. Will the same happen if I updated to 9.2 or 9.3?
not unless you use pixel launcher (or rather gapps that replace stock launcher)
also recommend to go with update via recovery (sideload)
check op for info on how to do that
So just that we are all clear, exactly what specific version of nikgapps are safe? Lots of versions and add ons floating around out there now and I would hate to mess up this amazing rom with some gapps

Also, does latest h.38 or whatever firmware work with older builds i.e. 9.1? I wanted to try updating things one at a time to see what, if anything, breaks like last time i updated

just switched from the original OOS ROM to the crDroid one and I am amazed at the numbers of functions it provides. Really great ROM, but I found that USB charging the phone via PC is very very slow (150-250mA). Using the phone while charging from PC via USB actually drains more energy than is being provided.
At first I used the latest (weekly) build 13.0-20230407, so I thought downgrading to the latest "stable" release (13.0-20230401) would help, but it did not.
I used the same exact setup for USB tethering to my PC when using the original OOS ROM and the phone was charging fast and without problems. Using this ROM (or the kernel it provides) it will take 8 hours to charge fully.
I also played with all the battery/charging settings the ROM provides, but to no avail the USB charging is still very slow.
Any suggestions on how could I fix this? If this could be fixed, it'd be 10/10 ROM.

I am hoping someone can offer me a little help. I have a 7Pro with crDroid 7.4 and TWRP. What is the best route to updating to the latest version? Do I follow the update guide in the OP, or is this more like a clean install? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Flashing Instructions:
Pre-installation:
- OOS 12 H.38 firmware is mandatory (can update via firmware update tool found on download page, firmware button)
- Download recovery (from download page, recovery button)
- Optional NikGapps core (download - note that you may also need setup wizard addon if you rely on Google restore)
- Optional Magisk (boot.img used to patch with Magisk in order to get root, can be found in recovery folder from download page)
- Backup your data to PC, OTG flash drive
- Make sure you have OOS 12 firmware installed (if used firmware flash tool from download page, proceed straight to install crDroid.zip)
- Enter fastboot
- Flash our boot.img in fastboot

fastboot flash boot boot.img - Boot to recovery (can do from bootloader or with buttons from power off state)
- Now in recovery go to factory reset and confirm the reset
- Reboot to recovery
- Choose apply update and Apply from ADB
- Now install crDroid zip via sideload

adb sideload crDroid.zip - Go back to main menu and reboot to recovery to install gapps (if you don't want gapps, reboot to system)
- To install gapps, simply reboot to recovery again and sideload gapps.zip the same way you installed crDroid.zip then reboot to system
Via recovery (recommended way):
- Boot to recovery
- Choose apply update and Apply from ADB
- Now install crDroid zip via sideload and reboot

- Go to Settings -> System -> Updater and download latest build
- Choose install and let it finish
- If you have Magisk installed, don't click reboot when prompted and go to Magisk and choose install to inactive slot
