Hi gwolfu,
into one of the next release, would it be possible to add a function for backlight's screen off ?

As I'm using the device connected to an external montior 1080p by HDMI HUB for watching video and to play games, after one hour playing session with phone's screen always on, the device always gets very hot with consequently thermal throttling...

Besides, with screen backlight off, we could save battery charge as well.....

I can mitigate the situation by lowering the brightness as max as possbile but it is not enough....

If it were possible to completely screen off that would be great !

I found these three nodes that could be involved into the screen backlight :

/sys/class/backlight/panel0-backlight/
/sys/kernel/oplus_display/
/sys/class/drm/card0-DSI-1/

but unfortunately I can't say more than that.....

As your rom is frequently updated ( and we really thank you ), can you kindly check on this ?

Many thanks for your work ! :)

I took a backup of my phone and followed the steps as advised in the instructions by the developer.
Wait, you can get the non Google backup to work? How do you do it? Mine just refused to work, and I really don't want to have to restore OOS do 3 OTA. updates and then install the same ROM I've got now, and then do really slow Google backup restore. But if I can use the built-in backup that'll be much quicker

Fiorsome reason I can't get Google Maps to show my location. Everything I can think of is turned on.
I guess there's something obvious I have missed. Any suggestions would be great.

No apps can receive my location.
I will reflash the rom ams see if the issue still exist.

Solved: Something got messed up and a clean flash was what l needed.

What would be the required steps to go from crdroid 9.0 to 9.5.

Was always scared of updating as the first time I used the ota updater it killed my rom so never tried again.
But I'm having insane issues with phone crashing/rebooting so want to try again.

Is a completely fresh install the way to go?

(Meaning recovery tool back to oxygen os, update all the way to latest version, then install crDroid 9.5)?

have backup just in case

now reboot to recovery
adb sideload latest crdroid zip
reboot to recovery
adb sideload gapps zip
reboot

Great ROM, but esim.me is not working as other AOSP-based ROMs. Is there a way to enable access to SIM1 and SIM2 with OMAPI in this ROM? Log from esim.me application is in the attachment
