@Rocky7842 when I turn on "battery saver" mode I dont notice any difference (as i already use dark mode). The phone feel snappy as always, i don't see any difference im animations and also don't notice any battery savings.
Is this expected behaviour ?
In other phones that i had battery saver mode really gave me more battery at the expense of performance

the telephoto camera is really crappy, by the way. A cropped image of the standard camera renders better results.

Newest China official build, and the provided crDroid recovery/ROM. That's all you need.
Is that mean that if I live in Europe and have used V12.5.1.0.RFBMIXM newest Global FW so far (Global was provided with the device by vendor), I should replace it with V12.5.4.0.RFBCNXM China (or even 21.11.24 weekly) to get the best results? Will Chinese FW work properly outside China?

BTW.
Global FW works fine with that ROM.

Hello!
Help pls!
How flash this rom?
What need: fw, TWRP, vendor, vbmeta
Sorry I made a misstatement. The comment was edited.

My builds for this device do use vendor blobs from V12.5.1.0.RFBMIXM, which is global latest.

So after testing alpha rom for a while, it's quite good. Battery drain problem was solved and I didn't notice any minor/major problem.

But a suggestion, I don't know why but the floating option ("freeform window" in developer setting) is a mess in all custom roms. When I freeform an app it's only available in launcher and as I open other apps, it's gone.
There is an app called "taskbar" used for controlling freeform apps and by using that I could have freeform on other apps beside launcher, but freeform activity is not pinned (always on top) and will be closed as soon as I touch background app.

Is there any way to have something similar to miui floating in custom roms?

how do I go back to LineageOS after having tried CrDroid? Do I need a complete wipe? As sideload Lineage will not work, but always boots to TWRP (even though it messaged success) I prefer the relative simplicity / don't need crDroid's bells and whistles.

yes. A complete wipe seemed necessary, maybe because of that encryption?

Best way is to download the latest fastboot images open a terminal window (linux) or cmd (windows) and use the apropriate fastboot "flash-all" script thats included in the downloaded rom folder. It will wipe everything and flash all partitions back to your phone

Will my phone's bootloader stay unlocked?

Yes. Just be sure to use the "flash-all.sh"(linux) or "flash-all.bat"(windows) script. Not the one with "lock" on its filename.
Look for a tuto on how to flash fastboot images to get all the details and you'll be fine.

How you solve the battery drain problem?

Both are pretty stable, but features are slightly different, and how they achieve certain functions are different.
Alpha one is "cleaner" if I have to say, but both of them have their pros and cons.
Hi Rocky,
have you already decided, which version you will continue? I´m on the january build which is awesome for me - thanks a lot - and I was wondering, wheather it makes sense to resetup for the february build or wait.
thx!

New build uploaded.

Major change:
- Security patch date is now 2023-03-05 (with QPR2 update).
- Add Smart Pixels.
- Add support for F2FS.
- Improve UI smoothness.
- Adjust AOD brightness.
- Adjust vibration related stuffs.

IMPORTANT notes:
1. The build is now transitioning to new sources, which is same as the beta build. You'll have to format all the data if you're coming from old stable releases.
2. If you're coming from the latest beta build, it's likely to upgrade with a dirty flash. Still recommend to backup all of your data before proceeding, just in case.
3. The OTA download link was removed due to current situations. It'll be added back in the next release.
4. If you found anything that's done better in old stable releases (and is device specific, ofc), you can put forward your opinion here.

    Hi @Rocky7842,

may I ask you to provide your "roomservice.xml" as I'd like to tinker with the notch cutout, but I'm so noob I found just an outdated one from the archived branch.

    Thanks!
    🙏
Pm me. I'm kinda busy now, will give you the info when I'm free.

I switched from alphadroid to this but I want to take screenshots in hidden WhatsApp snapshots etc. Some apps don't allow screenshots. Is there a solution for these? I used this on the alphadroid side, which was build on the basis of crdroid.
use lsposed module, it works. search for secure flag

Is anyone interested for a smoother notch?
In this video I'm toggling the display cutout settings from "hide" to "default" and back to show the difference.

(Sorry for the non-english UI, I'm also testing the translation 😉)

New build uploaded. Some bugs fix and translation update, from source (crDroid).

Most importantly, OTA support was introduced. From now on, we can check for updates in settings app and will receive OTA updates when there's a future release.

    same happens here, with 9.2
    >ota install with twrp and I'm stuck in recovery<
now trying with adb sideload ...
which also gets stuck in recovery.
so going back to 9.1, wihic did not work at first try ;( (now deleting caches too)
which does not help either (so lets try 9.2 but deleting caches)
Go back to 9.1 won't help. You have to NOT install the update. Or wipe the data and install the new build.
The situation is about encryption and is not retrievable.

I don’t waste time on idle talk, now I see on the screen what it is and I don’t understand bragging, but I accept such arrogance. Everyone wants to be unique, but I'm sorry - it will soon be for everyone, because such is life. Guess the next "canary"
Magisk alpha is significantly different from canary and stable release. Apart from being unstable, it also sends data to the devs for debugging, and many other things.
I don't want to send the file here because:
    a. I don't really recommend it.
    b. You won't understand all the risk from here.
    c. The dev doesn't want the file to be spread everywhere.

If you have noticed, I don't want to put any risk in my ROM. It's supposed to be forcibly encrypted and no other unsafe modification is pre-included. You can of course do the modification you want, but if you don't even understand what I'm talking about, why the hell on the earth will I guide you to do the modification?
Do not speak like I am narrow-minded, I wouldn't even answer you questions or post the ROM in the first place.

If you like my work, stay and use it. Bug report would be thankful for. But when the conversation is not about device specific bug, like what we're talking about right now (which is about root), don't expect others especially devs to give you a noob friendly guide. Take your own time to find the answer on the internet yourself or go to groups that specifically for this, if you don't want to waste time on conversations.
