hello,
I can't edit files in /vendor anymore, both from recovery and from Android. I can mount /vendor partition rewritable, but it is 100% full and gives error: not enough space, and any pushed file becomes blank.
how can I edit /vendor/etc/fstab.qcom to remove forced encryption (fileencryption to encryptable) and factory wipe to disable encryption?
I can't edit other files in /vendor such as build.prop to add system properties, like debug.hwui.renderer=skiavk and others that I want.

It seems with this super and dynamic partitions /vendor is locked.

Works fine here.

1. Usually upon the initial flash, a lot of things are still setting up in the background. I would suggest holding on to it for a few more days and then observe the power consumption.
2. That is a known issue on the launcher side. It is also happening to other PE devices. Not sure if Google screwed something up in their launcher. Clearing the app data of the launcher should fix it temporarily, but it may come back later.
3. Can you capture some logcat when app crashes?
4. That is mentioned in the known issues section.

Try the command ./adb sideload filename.zip

Forget adb sideload, and use an usb type C. (a Pen drive)

I think the battery drain comes from two things: 1) 4g/lte connection and 2) Auto-Brightness

Forget about that google gms waking up the device, it wasn't google or the ROM's fault, it was some crappy MicroG version i had installed, it was causing the device to always stay active, and worse is that it happened to me before, but I did install it again when updating the ROM and forgot that it was that buggy.

Anyway, i'm out home with a full charge and that app uninstalled, will report the battery usage.

Any news about the battery usage?

Yes, sadly I don't keep recent screenshots now from BetterBatteryStats, but I observed, sometimes the device doesn't go to deep sleep and it's active (screen off) all the time until I reboot. Don't know what causes this though.
When it's not consuming battery like a maniac (about 6% per hour, always active screen off) it performs fairly well, about 2% battery per hour.
If I encounter the device in the always active state I don't know what else to check besides BBS. any ideas?

Oh, that doesn't sound realy good! I'm not a realy experienced user, so I'm afraid, I can't help you! I'm still on Android12 and very satisfied with this version! As long as there are no improvements I will stick with this version!

I am experiencing battery drain too. I am sleeping per day 8 hours, in that time the phone discharges by approx. 50%. So I replaced the battery in the phone. Now it discharges by 31% per night. Thats approx 4% per hour in "deep sleep".

I do not use any rogue apps nor modified system packages. I do not use any games beside two.

I will actively cooperate on this issue if you need more info. I am C++ developer, I know Linux env, I know bash/python. I can gather every info/log you need from the device.

Edit: I am now trying the suggested advice in post #1,856 I will report tomorrow. But I do not know how this would help, I am not using the search bar in the laucher, maybe it is indexing way too much in the background?

Yes, that is what I suspect was happening. If that doesn't help, see if you can figure out what is waking the device so frequently. BetterBatteryStats should still work pretty well in this case.

It did not help. Again 30-32% per night (8 Hours). So I bought BetterBatteryStats and granted permissions via adb, so I will report tomorrow again.

Hi,

just FYI, I have switched to PE 13 Plus about two weeks ago, and I'm happy with that new version since then.
on my system, there is no excessive battery drain - it's as good as it was on PE 12.
so I'm really happy with that version.

The deep sleep time and the signal strength look good to me.

I see that you are using Zepp Life. BBS didn't record too many wakelocks from it, but from my past experience, it may increase idle drain by a noticeable amount. Perhaps try again without it?
