Yeah,, WSL’s available memory is limited at 50% of your physical memory size by default. It's configurable but, as I recall, you need Window 11 to be able to use 100%. I think in Windows 10 there was a hard cap of 75 or 80% that you couldn't exceed, no matter what you've set in the config file.

Google Pay worked right out of the box, however, I had to re-register my card because my bank rejected all transactions. I think that was a bank thing though, not a Google Pay thing.

Front camera doesn't work.

edit : I tried to switch to PE 12 and flash MUI firmware first but it still doesn't work. Seems like it brokes something.
edit 2 : even flash stock ROM and firmware with MiFlash doesn't fix it. Don't flash this ROM.

Will the ROM still be updated? It is not convenient without Google Pay, I am thinking of switching to another one if not, but I really like this one.

Has anyone had a battery drain problem with google play services and framework? GMS is active near 100% of time. The problem emerged around the end of february.
I tried to wipe data/cache for these apps and system cache partition without success - GMS still drains battery.

I'm really in a dilema!
I've been using the PE12 ROM for a long time, including the previous versions, and I've never had any problems! I would now also like to switch to the current PE13 ROM, but I don't dare when I read about the many problems (Google Pay, battery drain)! These problems are not mentioned in the changelogs. On the other hand, I see that almost 6000 downloads have been made. Are the problems only rudimentary and do not affect all installations? What would you advise? THX

Stay on PE12, it's almost the same ROM and PE13 has many problems (as I said above it broke my front camera I don't know how).

I had problems with battery drain on pe12 too, and it was even worse - with freezes of launcher and some apps(I fixed that issue via factory reset).

Hi,

based on @dRm42 idea of building the latest version himself, I did the same, and ran that version for ~three weeks now without any issues.
since there are several people suffering from the missing Google Pay, I want to make that version available to others.

Disclaimer: I have just built the bits based on the instructions on https://wiki.pixelexperience.org/devices/polaris/build/ , but have no other way of verifying that this is all correct.

Note: This is the Plus version, as this is what I'm running myself - I have no plans to build the non-Plus version, as I wouldn't test it, and I'd feel bad to provide a completely untested version.

Note: I'm currently running a build on the latest code, probably with the April security fixes, and plan to publish that one as well, but obviously that will be even more untested, so if you're just looking for the Google Pay fix, go ahead with the March version.

@jjpprrrr, let me know if you think it's a bad idea to provide a self-built version like this.

Ah I tried everything and I can't use the front camera anymore... if someone has an idea...
