Xiaomi Redmi 5
Today I try two sim cards on the latest from (clean flashed). Its weird that both sims (different networks, Viettel & Mobifone) cannot connect to data. Swap sims could not help. Remove one sim, then the remaining sim show connected to LTE network.
And when 2 sims in the slot, the way to make a call on which sim is very inconvenient. Have to click on the four dots on the left to choose the sim to call. Or just make the call and switch sim during the call.

The other error: the only MicroSD this Rosy accepts properly is the 8Gb class 4 Transcend. I have several 64Gb working MicroSD (Toshiba/Sandisk) but the phone format them several times in both modes (internal/ external) then it crashed and formatted again/ or rebooted.
64GB formatted exFat from recovery as external sd working fine for me.

The latest rom drain battery significantly vs the previous one. I left the phone fully charged for 8 hours without touching it and battery down to 75%

As earlier i told , it's doesn't matters how the rom is lightweight , battery will drain more with higher Android version services ! Dead driver update possibilities ! If somehow you can make Qualcomm to allow gives daily driver update then it will be solve

Does this ROM work better than 19.1? The past begins to slow down over time. Maybe I should install some other kernel?

New build is up.
2022-11-26
Code:
• Signed Bluetooth with new certificate
• Fixed GMS device-config permissions
• Bumped limit on sched-tune boost groups
• Migrated to cgroup task_profiles
• Disabled sched iowait_boost
• Fixed DM reads capped at max request size
• Fixed potential FS unmount issue
• Fixed FG Rslow charger compensation

Clean flash required!

Updated Bluetooth modules have new security certificates, so the signatures will NOT match previous builds. DO NOT try to dirty-flash or apps will crash. Clean-flash only!

No issues here. Grab this from adb:

adb shell cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/stats/time_in_state

Prints time spent on each freq:
Code:
 652800 101728
1036800 1438
1401600 15247
1689600 1664
1804800 13711

Mindthegapps is not suitable for 2/16 version. It occupied 90-95% memory and cause serious lag. I have to disable the Google app, replace it with Google Go to get it run properly.

Apparently Play services are not happy after the initial setup (SUW) will keep scanning packages, resulting in high cpu usage for some time. It gets fixed once updated to latest PlayStore/Services, but that can take a while (or a few reboots)

EDIT: Removing Gapps package from Downloads section for now...

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Code:
    /*
    * Your warranty is now maybe void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear
    * war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some
    * research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

    */

LineageOS 20.0 for Xiaomi Redmi 5 (rosy)

    Installation

    1. If you're coming from another ROM or performing a clean flash:
    • Reboot to Recovery
    • Backup any important data
    • Format Data partition
    • Wipe Dalvik, Cache, System, Vendor
    • Flash the ROM
    • Flash GApps (optional)
    • Reboot to System
    2. If you're updating the ROM or performing a dirty flash:
    • Reboot to Recovery
    • Flash the ROM
    • Wipe Cache
    • Reboot to System

    Downloads

    OTA Updates
    • Once an update is available in System settings, download the update package and select Install. The device will restart itself and install the update.
    • Consider enabling auto-delete in Updater settings, since OTA packages can take up considerable storage space.

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel, have installed Magisk, or have made modifications to read-only partitions (with GApps being the only exception).
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • Remember to provide as much info as possible, including the necessary steps to reproduce your issue. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved.

    * Build is now of type user without the additional debugging and diagnostic tools found in previous userdebug builds.

    * The external speaker should now perform like stock MIUI... hopefully putting an end to the 'lack of bass' discussion.
