Yeah I've noticed that with some apps, telegram in particular

Every PE feature should work but keep in mind that the rom itself doesn't include all features from real pixels (magic eraser for example), visit their website for more info. PE makes the phone pretend it's a pixel/nexus so that the device can pass safetynet, that's the reason it shows up as that
Understood. Thanks for the detail explanation. Waiting for next build. Good job once again. You have revived an old phone which has good specifications but unfortunately company policies stopped the updates but we can still enjoy the goodies in roms like this. And also in the one I replied you didn't tell me about twrp. Thank you.

I wonder if it happens on current lineage too (since I'm pretty sure it wasn't an issue on november builds), but I'll reflash PE and test this a bit more
I added the logcat to my previous message. This happened in the previous build also so I upgraded to the latest (new recovery, full format etc). Any help appreciated as, despite being a LOS fan, I'm sure the lack of SafetyNet when not even rooted is going to trip me up at some point and I was enjoying PE. Thanks.

Counterintuitively you can pass safetynet by rooting with Magisk, enabling zygisk, excluding GMS in Magisk settings, and finally using the MagiskHide Props config module.
Yes I saw that. Thanks. I fear this may cause more issues with other apps though. Right now it's just GPay that I don't really use that often. I used to run root but now don't have the need so like to keep it as it is. Returning to LOS after many years with an A70 has been a bit of a shock.

the ROM is very cool. The work that has been done is very good. The only problems that I have noticed are these. One problem I've noticed with the ROM is that the fingerprint reader doesn't work if grayscale or nightlight is active. and the problem with the speaker is that it is very low. thanks for the attention friend, very good work.

Which odin version are you using? Use 3.14.4.
Are you flashing it in the AP section of odin I believe. Still if there is any error developer will help. I stated the knowledge I have.

I am willing to get this rom flashed and I am wondering if it is stable to be used as a daily driver? I feel like the stock rom has been suffocating the device lately and I just don't want to use it anymore, will this be the right successor that will remind of how the phone performed 2 years ago? also wondering if I could backup the stock rom on an external card or something using the PE recovery?

Status update: the new update is ready, with long awaited FOD dimming, night light FOD, corrected vibration intensity, bluetooth voip calls support, and some rom-side fixes too like Safetynet/Play Integrity + fixed first time setup crash. Unfortunately, my ISP is currently having some trouble and upload speeds are horribly low, so I can't actually upload the build! :ROFLMAO:

I'll update the trees on git soon in case someone would want to build from source, otherwise just be patient.

@eniothecheesy reflash vbmeta and PE recovery, then try again.

The update is now out, changelogs can be found in the first post.
As always, I suggest doing a data backup before upgrading but a "dirty" flash should be fine.

Dirty flashed the update, works fine except now google photos cannot edit pictures and a message "This device is not supported and phone calls may not work correctly" appears when starting the phone dialer. I uploaded a screenshot of the message.

    @rttxda

Hey bro please you need to push a fix for it so fast because it's so annoying ,, when talking with someone on a voice call when I use the phone's speaker they start to hear a very loud echo of themselves

I think it's something with the audio fix in this update..
That's the tradeoff we have to put up with currently, since we use oss audio instead of samsung's (that one had problems with Bluetooth calls over voip). I'd suggest using a pair of earphones, or alternatively returning to a previous build which used Samsung's audio at the cost of bluetooth.

Pixel Experience 13 Plus for Galaxy A70

    Code:
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */
    What is this?
PixelExperience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, boot animation)

Our mission is to offer the maximum possible stability and security, along with essential and useful features for the proper functioning of the device

    Based on Android 13
    What is working:
    - WiFi
    - DualSIM, including calls on both sims
    - Bluetooth
    - NFC
    - Camera
    - Sound
    - GPS
    - Fingerprint scanner/Face unlock
    - Sensors
    - SD cards
    - Double tap to wake
    - Data encryption
    - SELinux enforcing
    - SafetyNet
    - Most other basic stuff

    Known issues:
    - VoLTE/VoWiFi, of course :)

    Installation guide:

    1. Recommended Samsung firmware version is A705FNXXU5DVK6, but it will work on slightly older versions too.

Make sure that the bootloader is unlocked.

    --

    2. Boot the phone into download mode. Flash Pixel Experience recovery through AP button in Odin.

    Download here.

Note: TWRP will not work! It does not support new A13 roms with the latest changes.
Use PE recovery for the best experience, otherwise don't complain if your phone bootloops.
    --

    3. Boot into recovery (Vol+ and Power while USB is plugged into PC)

Note: Samsung's OneUI wipes the custom recovery partition and possibly vbmeta while booting so try not to reboot into Android.
    --

    4. Format data and system in the recovery

    --

    5. Flash the rom in "Apply update" menu.

There are 2 ways to install:
    • On the phone: Copy the zip to a FAT32-formatted microSD card and install it in recovery.
    • With a PC: Use Minimal ADB on Windows. Open "cmd-here" and type
      Code:
      adb sideload <rom-file>
where <rom-file> is the filename (drag-and-drop the zip file into cmd window).
    --

    6. (Optional) If you want superuser access, flash Magisk in the same way that you flashed the rom.

We now have a working ramdisk so newest Magisk works fine ^^
    --

    7. Reboot and enjoy :)

    Downloads:

(Update recovery and clean flash if coming from 2023.01.04!)

    ROM: 2023.03.02

I don't have any time to work on the phone lately but I'll at least push a small update fixing safetynet sometime soon.

I have been using this rom for one day and so far it is very fast and smooth, my only concern is that brightness gets changed whenever i unlock my device (I am only using fingerprint) but I enabled adaptive brightness and I am okay with it.
The camera isn't the best, but I am using both versions of GCam PMGC_7.2.014_NonPie_ V7 and GCam_6.1.021 _Advanced_V1.5.190418.1850
They are working, you can take a good pictures with the rear camera and the front one, but don't expect portrait mode to work.

But what I didn't expect, this rom actually solved some of my biggest issues with this device, the proximity sensor was very bad and now it works like a charm, same goes for the touch screen, it was not so responsive in the stock rom, also the mobile network was very very weak in the stock one, talking about battery, it was bad till I enabled power saving mode and now I am getting better battery performance than the stock, keeping in mind that my battery has degraded a lot because I am using this device a lot, so my conclusion so far is that this rom is very stable and a way more better than the stock rom, I have no words to describe my appreciation for the developer and when I have a chance I will donate for him!
