I know the only way to find out the actual answer to my question is to try it myself, but here goes anyway:
I have not had any issues with my 6a while on A12. After upgrading to A13, and a few weeks passing by, I've been noticing connectivity issues. Random apps randomly telling me that I have no internet connection, mainly. Can this be a hardware issue? (Since it wasn't present when I started using the phone, I wouldn't think so?)
Would flashing this ROM possibly fix that issue? Or would I only need to do a factory reset, maybe flash a custom kernel?
If you havent, try a factory reset first

What would be the flashing process coming from stock ROM?
Unlocking bootloader, and then just 'fastboot -w update rom.zip' (as stated in OP)?
Okay so I tried this, but ended up getting a bootloop? Google logo on white background shows up for like a second, then phone reboots to the "your bootloader is unlocked" warning screen.

Okay, turns out I needed to reboot into Android after unlocking bootloader. I'm an idiot.

My suggestion, use pixel flasher for all your flashing needs, fully automated and pretty painless...sok szerencset

Check the version of fastboot. Yours may be outdated. If it isn't try another port or cable

Alright new question. After getting installed and all setup I opened and logged into snapchat. The screen gives me some sort of weird reddish static and then goes black. Thats all I get out of the camera while in the snapchat app. I'm working on installing magisk to see if I can do hide root and make it work but does anyone have any idea why I'm seeing this? I'll post screenshots if needed.
**EDIT** I just had to install magisk and use it to hide root.

Is anyone using ACC on this ROM? If so, does it work for you? I can't seem to be able to set a max charging current nor a max battery charge level :/
I have tried both AccA and ACC Settings, also the latest release of ACC (v2022.6.4)

Hello. I flashed to bluejay and looks great.
I'm working to build rom too, but it makes many bugs so I respect to this fully stable rom.
but I noticed one issues, SafetyNet fails with reason: HARDWARE_BACKED. (To use Google Pay needs Magisk + Universal SafetyNet Fix) so you will may need fix it for next update.

Thanks for great rom and keep your good work!

YASNAC shows no SafetyNet failures to me. Basic integrity and CTS profile match both pass, eval type is basic.
Might be an issue on your end.

Do you have Google Services added to Magisk Denylist? Have you hidden your Magisk app?

No I don't installed magisk. I just flashed this rom normally.
If possible I hope that SafetyNet will pass without root. : )

    Great work @stebomurkn420
    Have just installed crDroid-bluejay-gapps-fastboot-022623.zip
I patched the boot image in magisk first and added back to the zip
    Simply installed magisk manager later.

Quite close to vanilla build, filesize alot smaller than other gapps versions. The bare minimum required - perfect. Anything else such as gcam installed from playstore, pixelefy used for dialler and such. Battery life is great, its currently 4% but we've got a broadband outage, so have had 3 devices sharing my 4G+ and H+ all day. No performance issues.

Yeeah, they buggy asf. All videos just cant be played and just crash the phone. Aswell as hooking system in lspsed and much more.
Make sure you're on the correct firmware. Being on an older version causes this issue.

Hey thanks for sharing. Xda isn't what it once was, but it's still nice to see roms and kernels for bluejay popping up here.

Hello everyone! Updating the build again tonight. This build will address the adaptive connectivity FC when making calls on some carriers and fixes monet. I have also started compiling user builds. I would suggest a clean flash in any situation. Thank you.

Sorry about a double post but noticed an issue today using the rom

Wireless hotspot is greyed out. I can't enable it. On my old phone I could enable it. My previous phone, up until last week was a OnePlus 7 Pro 5G on stock oxygen os. Wireless hot spot worked on that phone, but doesn't on the pixel 6a. Could it be rom related?

edit: idiot moment, data saver was turned on
