I don't use Element / Matrix.
In this case I'd say we communicate via XDA forum private messages.
I will send you a test build for you to test audio quality if that is fine for you.
Yeah, you can do that.

Could you also give me an answer on implementing the android auto app as system app so android auto will work, please?

Okay.

Regarding Android Auto: that won't happen.
The goal of this project always has been to offer authentic LineageOS.
That's why we do not add stuff that is not part of official LineageOS releases.

Hello MajorP93,

thank you for your answer. It's a bit sad but I understand the reasons but isn't MicroG part of the official LineageOS ressources either?

That is correct but there are LineageOS builds that are being released by microG team (https://lineage.microg.org/) for devices that are supported by LineageOS officially.

These builds do not include Android Auto either.

Vanilla version of this ROM --> is meant to offer authentic LineageOS experience.
MicroG version of this ROM --> is meant to offer authentic lineage.microg.org experience.

P.S.: have you tried flashing NikGapps full on top of our vanilla ROM?
That version of NikGapps includes Android Auto.
You might run into insufficient space error since that version has not been verified by us to work on vanilla ROM but it's worth trying I guess...

I becoming more and more interested in flashing this rom on my Nord. Since the official lineage been dead for so long, it's just a question about laziness that I haven't tried this rom already, also I don't wanna risk f*cking up something on my daily-driver haha... But this rom seems really great, I've been a frequent reader in this thread, so now I just have to go through with it.

However, my question is, are there anything in particular I should be aware of when flashing this when going from Lineage 17.1? I am pretty sure it's lineage in both slots, a-b, (17.1 something), if that matters. Otherwise I will just follow the instructions in the first post.

Thanks to the great DEV volunteers making this possible.

Have a nice weekend! :)

Thanks for this, I've tried installing both the Feb 5th and Feb 12th releases of the microg version using the following steps but the wifi refuses to show any networks..

-Boot into bootloader: adb reboot bootloader
-Flash the recovery image: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
-Format data / do a factory reset in recovery
-Reboot into recovery: click advanced --> reboot to recovery
-Go to Apply update and choose Apply from ADB
-Sideload the rom: adb sideload rom.zip

I don't think I'm missing any steps?

*edit* also the same using vanilla and the basic NikGapps

I assume the latest version includes OOS12 baseband. Not sure if that's different for the EU/IN versions of the phone. Can anyone with an EU version post their baseband version?

AC2003
Using msm tool after problems, updated ota.
Result:
Baseband HI.2.5-01081....
Hmmm... AC2003, so EU model. That's strange. Every EU model I've seen has the P14 version. There's only one guy in the pixel experience thread reporting the same version as you.

I suppose the author can tell us if this rom flashes baseband (like it did in earlier versions).

AC2003 is not necessarily EU version.
EU and Global variant both share same model number.

Hi,
I think it is EU version, but I'm not sure.
Because I wanted to make complete backups, I tested the various recoveries. But I got more and more problems, so I restored oos with the MSM tool (1 ota update to 11, and 2 ota updates with 12). Then I installed the PE 13 recovery and PE 13 ROM (from 1.2.23 - many thanks to KakatkarAkshay). With this, the baseband version was HI.2.5-01081..... Everything seems to work fine.

Well as I said the only other reference to that baseband that I could find is from PE. So I guess that rom flashes a different baseband for some reason.
I'd suggest restarting the process with MSM and installing OOS12 and then this rom so that you have the normal baseband that you're supposed to have but if you think everything works then ok.

I suppose this also means that this rom doesn't flash the baseband and leaves whatever you already have in contrast to what the previous version did https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...lus-nord-avicii.4329631/page-13#post-87329367

You may be right. I would be happy if I could give a precise account of all my individual steps, but I had acted a little headlessly.

LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

HOW TO GET GAPPS IN THE VANILLA VERSION OF THIS ROM:
    Reference: *Link*

    Follow these steps:
-Download Gapps from here: *Link* (MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64)
-Boot into bootloader: adb reboot bootloader
-Boot the recovery image: fastboot boot recovery.img
-Format data / do a factory reset in recovery
-Go to Apply update and choose Apply from ADB
-Sideload the vanilla version of the rom: adb sideload rom.zip
-Reboot into recovery: click advanced --> reboot to recovery (!important do not start LineageOS yet)
-Go to Apply update again and choose Apply from ADB
-Sideload the Gapps package you just downloaded: adb sideload gapps.zip, when prompted select "install anyway" after the "signature verification" message.

    UPDATING THE ROM:

Unless I say the opposite in the update announcement, this ROM can be updated using the dirty flash method.

In order to do so, follow these steps:
-Download the new version of the ROM you are using (microG/vanilla)
-Reboot into recovery: adb reboot recovery
-DO NOT CLICK ON FACTORY RESET / WIPE DATA
-Flash the Zip-File of the new ROM: adb sideload rom.zip

Important: if you are using the vanilla version of the ROM,
you have to re-flash Gapps after updating and before starting LineageOS:
-Reboot into recovery: click advanced --> reboot to recovery
-Go to Apply update again and choose Apply from ADB
-Download Gapps from the link above
-Sideload the Gapps package you just downloaded: adb sideload gapps.zip, when prompted select "install anyway" after the "signature verification" message.

    UPDATE 2023-01-22

    New major release LineageOS 20.0

    Changelog:

    Both versions:
    - Initial release
    - Android 13

Download links to the new versions have been added to the original post.

    Please note:
While upgrading from our latest LineageOS 19.1 release to this LineageOS 20.0 release using the dirty flash method worked in our tests it is strongly recommended to backup your important data before doing so.
If possible do a clean flash instead as it can prevent issues when upgrading to a new major release / new version of Android.
