So far so good on the whole. Couple of annoying bugs so far. Icon doesn't change when charging, so looks like charge doesn't work, despite the percentage counting up. Auto dim, doesn't seem to be as good as it could be. Camera button doesn't work, but assistant seems to.

Add speaker phone not working to the list of issues, doesn't connect to my watch either for calls, car hands free works fine.

As a positive, Google pay and Pokémon go both work meaning safety net is fine and the torch is full brightness, unlike the stock ROM. biometrics don't work on the Barclays app but seem to work on other banking apps.

Do you need to install the kernel listed, separate to the ROM install? What benefits does it bring?

Very weird speaker phone and the battery icon work perfectly fine here. Confirmed safetynet as soon I had set everything up and the Camera button works inside the Sony camera app but not outside but Im also wondering what does the kernel bring to the table for me personally this rom is a keeper once I have installed the rom to the 2nd partition and added my extensive list of apps back . Can't confirm root works since I haven't and am not desiring root as all the features I want are already here. Furthermore, WhatsApp didn't cry about me using a custom ROM which is a good sign though I'm beginning to wonder if that is a safetynet thing or custom ROM thing. Finally it seems this device is recognised as a Google pixel as Google Photos allows me to do Infinite backup without the Pixelify Magisk Module which is very nice!!

Very nice! Might try flashing again in that case, side from issues above, this is much better than stock ROM. I had worlds of issues getting slots installing correctly etc. Glad it works for you... Hope for me

I installed this VoidUI-Tiramisu-pdx206-13.0-20230517-0642-COMMUNITY.zip aka the latest version this was all done from my Chromebook obviously first I flashed twrp then wiped the storage did ADB sideload then sideloaded and installed the rom I've had no issues so far just as I said need to flash to 2nd partition keep in mind that you will need to reflash twrp if your gonna reinstall because this rom replaces it with the pixel experience recovery

go to setting /system / buttons .you can set to open the camera with the camera key .you need to set sony camera app as default. after that it works even with the screen off/locked

Instead of editing my original post I'll put it here so it is more plain I thought @majorwedgy meant when the phone is on the battery icon doesn't appear but I've found he means when the phone is off which he is correct about - it just doesn't appear furthermore after further use the auto-brightness I've also found to be pretty awful as well making me think either my phone was broken somehow or my eyes were playing tricks on me overall minor issues which don't affect my opinion of this rom especially as I hate auto-brightness anyways also if you have always on display enabled the screen doesn't turn off it just always is that black screen with the charge and clock

Indeed I also found this problem upon trying to format the SD card for internal storage the device rebooted

SOLUTION: Remove the SIM tray and then plug it back in without the SIM card

Spot on, missed torch via power from my Xiaomi, very happy to have it back on here. Honestly so happy with this ROM. Not perfect, neither was stock, but this is worse in areas that don't matter. Thank you op for your great work

Indeed, even if the op never continued it still would be fine but I hope he does and is able to fix these issues because I really like this rom

Minnie annoyance is can't disable the assistant button or repurpose it. The option is there, but doesn't seem to make any difference. Was going to reflash but think I'll just wait for next update and hope it fixes my issues

Just found this has unlock only when screen is on, which I'm very pleased to see and was a massive annoyance on the stock ROM. Love it, op you have PayPal account for ppl to chuck coffee money your way?

After some more thorough testing I have also found that battery goes down quicker on this rom then any other I've used. Instead of my phone lasting till 9pm with my work load it lasts until 4pm which is a bit worrying. More then usable but if you could fix the battery drain issue if possible that would be great. To anyone else who sees this; this rom is a great ROM with great features however there is many small issues with this as well. If your willing to deal with these go ahead and install this rom and you will have a great experience if not then I recommend using lineage os as it is officially supported on this device at least until an update comes

I couldn't get lineage to install with gapps, otherwise would have used it
