we don't have a recovery partition. that's you flashed twrp to the boot partition, right?
and when you flashed the ROM - boot from the ROM replaced twrp.

you needed in twrp
flash ROM. and immediately without rebooting into twrp-Advanced-Flash in ramdisk. somehow, and somehow in both slots. so that twrp flashes itself again.

ps: and I would not advise flashing twrp permanently. you can lose all data at once. after the next update, the ROM may not boot if you forget to flash the twrp again. and you will have to look for a computer to flash twrp

Aosp recovery comes prebuilt with rom so whenever you will flash it with twrp it wi;; automatically replace with evo recovery.
also i wont recommend to use twrp for my users as its not fully stable so better stick to evo recovery.

But if we want root we have to install a different recovery?
With evo recovery I can only flash update.zip if I'm not mistaken.

I don't understand what's wrong with twrp?
I've already had it for more than six months, everything works fine, I've rearranged almost all the firmware through it, everything works fine.

Sometimes I lose my 4g connection, I have to force it to go 3g, after that I can go back to 4g.

I never had this issue with my previous phone.

Anyone an idea what this could be?

Wow, the community is dead here.
I'm very lucky this rom is super smooth and rock solid.

I turned of chrome and installed Firefox nightly, makes things even more smooth without the adds and all that.

Still recommend this rom, aldo I never tried another (why would I if this rom goes great?)

Hi!, first time for me in this threat. I just flashed evo x rom on my poco x4 pro 5g, all fine, but... when i reboot to recovery mode, the recovery change from twrp to evolution x recovery, I dont no how to flash zip package like magisk, so... how i can install twrp again? thanks in advance.

yes, i downloaded it on work with 4g, i thought that was the reason, now everything is gone, this sucks

    1. Reboot to Fastboot
    2. Download Evolution X Recovery.
    3. FORMAT data. (Requires full backup of internal storage)
    4. Flash the ROM via SD Card Or Adb Sideload.
    5. Click Reboot and #KeepEvolving

    gives a 404 error. In the stickied thread at the top of every section, Post #2 "XDA-Developers and the GPL" specifies the kernel source code must be directly linked to in the OP.

    I also notice you haven't been on the forum for almost seven weeks. In order to qualify as a Development thread (and be allowed a single social media link in the OP), primary support must be provided on XDA as mentioned in Post #3 "Threads Prefixed by [Development]".

    If you have things going on in real life that prevent this right now, then that's understandable, but in that case I'll have to change your thread to a [General] [SHARED] type instead of Development. I'm actually under the impression your thread might not qualify as Development anyway, since your OP says that @joeyhuab is the developer, but if you come back and correct the things that must be corrected, you can clarify if you're the official maintainer or if you're just sharing someone else's development.

    I can give you five days from now to correct the kernel source link and let me know about your status as a developer.
