I see your comments in most threads about j5 custom roms, so I imagine you know most of them, so I think this will be a simple question for you to answer: what is the most stable rom with the least amount bugs for the j53gxx (SM-J500H)?

lineage os 17.1 is also a good ROM, but it is outdated and consumes a lot of battery
It is better to use lineage os 18.1

Hello brother, this problem was for the first versions, when you deleted the programs, the phone would restart

i have tried this ROM for a couple times in my samsung galaxy SM-J500G (marshmellow 6.0.1 base). for my honest reviews is:

1. signal only in EDGE sim1, forgive me i'm not trying to change in sim2. so i don't know how about sim2 performance.
2. not so linked auto read SDCard.
3. broken in shut off charging. always restart blip
4. too big font for first boot welcome registration
5. blank launcher after several configuration (so i must change it with lucid launcher)

i think this is 5 crucial point to fix first

i haven't install game. but when battery melted hot (this could be an issue too if too much high activity), this ROM will auto shut down. the the problem goes worst with broken shut off.

And also rom ahut downs if phone temperature is hot....it happened to me with my j500h

Hello brother, for point 3, David must solve the problem
For tip 4, you can change the font on the welcome page or you can fix it in the settings
For point 2, I don't know where the problem comes from, it should be fixed or the problem is from lineage os

Brother J5 phone is equipped to turn off the phone when the phone heats up or the phone is under pressure so as not to damage the parts.
But this ROM is not good for playing, David said in the Telegram group
Use the lineage os 17.1 ROM, it is a good ROM for playing games

Thanks @daviiid99 for the A13 ROM. I have just revived my mom's J-500H (3G ver) from her laggy stock rom (6.01) to the latest android. Thanks to the OLED screen, the phone looks very modern with AOD. Almost everything works (data in Sim 2, bluetooth, AOD etc). But this rom set CPU always at max speed 1,612Mhz, therefore the battery drain significantly. At idle state, after two hours battery down from 100% to 65%. And Youtube is laggy in default mode. Netflix shut down after playing the movie for 1 hour.

For the 3G connection, I have to switch 3 sims in both sim 1 & 2 slots to get to work because the main network providers in my country recently shutdown the 3G network, keeping only 2G (will also shutdown in near future) and 4G to expand 5G network. Therefore 2 working 4G sims of two big providers cannot get data in both sim slots.

It is great if @daviiid99 could upload the new rom with new kernel to fix CPU speed. And the last thing, could you provide information on why this phone has 64-bit CPU but the rom is still 32-bit? I have read all pages in this thread but did not find any information on this query.

One more thing: it is seems that the default app dock was put too high and left empty space at the bottom of the screen. Similarly, the lock screen with PIN is also higher than normal so when inputting the PIN codes, the numbers not show fully in lockscreen, only the below half. I try taking screenshot in the new ROM but could not find proper button combination to take sample screenshot to attach.

Thanks, but this phone has Snapdragon 410 (4 cores Cortex A53, 64-bit capable). And the Nikgapps Core for A13 is the 64-bit version (NikGapps-core-arm64-13-20220828-signed.zip). But this Nikgapps Core could be flashed on the 32-bit ROM. That's why I raised this query.

Yesterday my flashlight was still working but today the flashlight button is grey out and note that other app using camera. But no app running. Restart several times could not solve. To solve the problem that the pin above the standard position

shutdown instead of reboot to fix flashlight
it's the kernel so rebooting won't "restart" it.

i am not planning this device to use in gaming mode. i only use for daily driver, all basic apps. i wish this rom will get better soon bro. this rom is good, only need a little things to fix.

any suggest for stable pure Android Go ROM for samsung galaxy SM-J500G? i need android go to make more simpler.

For my Samsung J500H, the Lineage 18 (the latest one) is laggy, battery consuming, slow charging, and not stable in RIL (no sim detech, 3G lost etc). After a few hours, I back to Lineage 20.
