Not quite :D...

Still need someone to provide me with output from "adb logcat"...

As I haven't got access to my Folio right now..

Hi MrMEEE,

It's good to know that you haven't abandoned us ^^!

Btw, I thought I have already provided you with the logcat in my previous post? Or is not sufficient? I can do another logcat if you needed.

If you missed the post, you can download it from this link:

I'll try it but as already told, I'm not sure the adb server inside the folio is already running when it loops...

If I'm not wrong you did perform fastboot before on your Folio before, so the chance is you have already added the USB ID rules for Folio and have android SDK with you?.

If yes, it will be extremely easy to do adb logcat, you just need to type "adb logcat" at terminal prompt when the device is connected to your pc. Then save the results to a file. In Linux, you can do this:

$adb logcat > Filename

I think you can do the same for Mac. The adb command can be found in platform-tools folder of the Android SDK

Awesome! You're the man! so that's because of the permission? Haha, I got it working now, looking great with this new ROMS ^_^

Edit: Hi MrMEEE, actually I got a problem with Wifi connection, my wifi network is WPA2. It is able to detect the network, but got stuck trying to connect... I even tried to use the old wifi driver from FolioMod, but seems like didnt work as well. Anyone got the same problem with me?

There's another problem I would like to point out as well, the USB-host capability seems not working. I tried to plug in my FAT32 thumb drive, but it doesn't detect anything.

Other than that, most of the things works so far (camera, sensors, apps) and very very smooth + snappy

Well, after much struggling, I found a temporary solution for Wifi "obtaining IP address" loop. Here is the temporary solution for those who encountered the same problem:
+ Go to Wifi settings, enable Static IP.
+ Set a static IP that you reserve to your tablet on Router setting
+ Fill in all the other setting such as gateway, dns, etc.. After that, it should work... well, at least it works for me

After install folionotion 3. U have to wait abt 10-15s after reboot for adb connection to be established. U can keep trying to run "adb devices" to check if the devices is connected yet

After giving it a few hours to play around, I discovered a number of problems:

+ Unable to give Root permissions to apps (such as Root explorer / Titanium Backups...).
+ Unable to update apps that comes pre-installed (Gmail, Maps, Kindle etc...). I tried to change their permission, and even delete the apps, but after that still receive Incompatible error at update.
+ Wifi connection is weak and unstable. Keep turning off when screen is off (even when I disable that option in Wifi sleep setting)
+ CIFS is not working currently, but maybe it can be fixed using some updated files from FolioMod thread.
+ USB keyboard is working, USB thumb drive is also working, but I couldn't see any notification...and how do we unmount it? It's not being listed inside Adam memory setting.

I really love this ROMs, everything so snappy and fast, except for these few problems. Hopefully MrMEEE can help us with that? :)

Hi guys..

I found the problem...

Quick fix: Please do:

remount
chmod 644 /etc/dbus.conf
chmod 644 /system/etc/dbus.conf

that should fix it...

I will upload an update as soon as possible...

As soon is i typed the chmod 644 /etc/dbus.conf and pressed enter it was out of the loop :D

It looks awsome, and im gone give it a good try to let you know how it works on my folio.

Shidima,

Thank you for your prompt response. After connecting the tablet to the pC and typing adb devices, no device is found. Any clues on what I need to do to my the tablet detectable.

I had adb working before. When I connect the following Fastboot is installed. Tried different USB without any success.

List of devices detected is blank. After restarting my PC and typing adb devices in cmd, I get the following message : * daemon not running. Starting it now in port 5037 * daemon started successufly.
List of devices attached.

"
Any further ides of what else I could do or try?

You can do it after install the wrong 3.0. (I can not imagine why not get an update. MrMEEE pls!)
1. Install the wrong folionotion3.0.zip (update.zip)
2. Reboot. Wait for the "adam logo" and start to command. (Unfortunately, It does not work me. The modified winusb.inf doesn't work me:( )

When I fastboot, fastboot is installed as a device. When I wait for the Adam logo and connect the USB cable, Nvidia Tegra2 device is installed. In both cases, adb is unable to find device.

Have redownloaded the folionotion v3 zip file and reflashed. Same result as before adb does not detect the device. By the way, I can flash other ROMs using fastboot or recovery without any problem.

    Hi all..

This is Notion Ink Adam Eden 1.5 ported for Toshiba Folio 100...

This is the new interface version from Notion.. Fixes A LOT problems with the old one... probably introduces new ones as well...

Regards goes to Dexter for a lot of help and to roebeet for the ViewSonic GTab version, on which this ROM was based.. And of course to everybody who I forgot...

    What doesn't work:

Panels added is not persistant over reboot... (Apparently the same problem exist on the Real Notion???)

G-sensor working.. seems up-side-down in some games.. Working on fixing this...

Probably a lot more :D... Please keep reporting back..

And now for the files you want:

    FolioNotion 3.0.1

    FolioNotion 3.0

    FolioNotion 2.0

    FolioNotion 1.2

    FolioNotion 1.1 - Buggy.. use 1.0 og 1.2 instead..

    Permission issues fixed...

    V3.0

    v1.1 - Buggy... Doesn't start....

USB Network Adaptors now supported.. Configuration for bootup done in: /system/etc/init.d/98usbnetworkconfig..

If adaptor is connected/reconnected after boot, just run "netsetup"..

I know this is a bit manual and I hope I will have time to develop a little app for configuration in the future...

There can be some conflicts in routes if wifi is enabled at the same time as an USB adaptor...

/etc/resolv.conf might need to be deleted when going back to WIFI..

    v1.0.1

Forgot the Superuser Application... Just install the apk or from market if you're already on v1.0

hmmm,, nice to see more devs for the folio. i havent tried your rom yet, but thumbs up for caring enough to port the nption ink rom.
one question though, what kernel version is this rom using? is it the modded kernel by notion ink?

It's using the Dexters 2.6.32.9 kernel from FolioMod and FolioTNT..

I think one of the biggest disappointment of mine with this mod is the Root capability. Superuser is there, but I think it was somehow not correctly installed, so I end up spending hours to fix that by manually re-install. It's quite a painful process.
Finally, in order to avoid future bugs which may come, I decided to switch back to FolioMod, and install all the nice Adam apps in FolioMod, which looks kinda cool now :D

What problems did you have with root????
