Go for it .. I don't re-partition phones it's just not worth it
enabling and moving app and game data to the Ext_sdcard would help
but it's still limited.
I'm not skilled. Don't know dev. I move everything movable to ext. Still have 2gb internal free, the more i install, the more it lags.

Dude it's a $49 phone .. it's not going to ever work like a $400 - $800 one

The main job for this phone is streaming and social media and content consumption, it's not a gaming device

Who says it should work as as 400-800 phone? I'm trying to understand if internal storage is recoverable or not. If not, then i'll think twice next time before buying a Huawei phone. Not long ago a rooted and debloated a $10 8gb phone and i did gain some space which was nice. This seems different.

if you have 6 gig of apps and games on this phone and it lags, that is telling you to stop installing stuff and start thinning it down

I put maybe 2 games and 5 - 6 apps on this thing total

Also dump the data hogs, use facebook lite in place of the full version
same with games stay with just one or two at a time

you can gain some space by turning off the Magazine unlock
and moving all the themes to ext sdcard

Look into Folder Mount or link2sd for more ways to use storage on your phone

I tried to use link2sd and I can't figure out how to use it. I got a 64gb SD Card but only need 30ish GB for music. How can I use the other 29gb for storage for my apps?

I don't think it's possible with this phone. I tried unsuccessfully to use Folder Mount app. You can use the extra micro SD space to store map files for offline use for apps like Google Maps.

I installed the rom a few days ago and the whole reason I finally installed this rom is because stock rom got so laggy after I'd used it for a week.

So far this rom seems to have a lot better performance.

When I first installed the rom Play store wouldn't launch after my first reboot. So I installed playstore from HERE and it didn't fix it but when I went to settings>Apps and disabled playstore it asked to uninstall playstore and restore the default so I did that and then re-enabled playstore and everything has been fine since then.

I don't think downloading/installing the playstore apk from that link had anything to do with fixing it, you can try first disabling playstore and see if it restores the factory/default , if not then maybe try installing the one from the link and trying disable again.

So far the phone hasn't been lagging like stock was but I think I might need to give it a few more days because stock was fine at first too but then was always eating ram.

You'll find rooting disabled the swap (zram)
And the ROM will not suffer the lag that stock does.

Disabling Phone Manager will also help a little bit. But I leave it as a quick cache cleaner

Thanks for the tip on the Play Store fix I'll give it a try if mine acts up again

I might of had to do the same thing with firefox but I didn't install firefox from an apk like I did playstore, so maybe installing playstore from the apk wasn't even needed

So yeah I'm guessing playstore updated itself and firefox and then broke, and disabling them removes the updates.

I can't connect or use any bluetooth keyboards or gamepads with this device, and I'm wondering if it has to do with this simplified version of the ROM. All these bluetooth devices work with my other android phone, a BLU VIVO XL. For instance, a VR controller and a bluetooth keyboard both pair and connect on the Hwawei Ascend XT, but I can't do anything with them on the screen or for typing, or for gaming.

An xbox wireless controller gives me the error "Couldn't pair with xbox wireless controller because of an incorrect PIN or passkey." There isn't even an option to enter a passkey. My BLU VIVO XL connects to the xbox controller without even requiring a passkey.

Is anyone else having these issues? Is it related to the ROM? Is there a fix?

Broke out the bluetooth keyboard to do this test and ............ yes, with my stock B150 rooted/Xposed ROM I am able to connect to and use my BT keyboard :) . I had to enter the BT passkey displayed on the phone using my BT keyboard for it to connect to the phone.
