Nice work, thank you! Which P8000 ROM version do you port for P6000 Pro? stable 5.9 or 6.1 beta?
Do you plan to update boot.img with 20151051 kernel (zImage)?
Code:
Linux version 3.10.65+ ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.9.x-google 20140827 (mtk-20150409) (GCC) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Oct 31 10:42:20 CST 2015

Do you mean 20151031 from the OTA update?
Is that available for download anywhere? (other than OTA)

Sorry for typo, yes it's the latest OTA 20151031, ;)
You can find it here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1VaxWoRkNt9UDFfQTdnWHF4am8/view

BTW, @skeleton1911, what tools do you use for system.new.dat unpack or mount? It's not a sparse format as system.img for SP Flash Tool (simg2img doesn't recognises its header), Linux file says its
Code:
/work/1/Eragon_P6000pro_V_1.0/system.new.dat: Linux rev 1.0 ext4 filesystem data, UUID=57f8f4bc-abf4-655f-bf67-946fc0f9f25b (extents) (large files)
but mount failed
Code:
sudo mount -t ext4 -o loop system.new.dat ./system
The same format is for system.new.dat and custom.new.dat images in OTA above, how can I deal with them?

Feedback on V1.0

Here's my feedback on V1.0:

1. The boot animation appears to not fit on the screen. Below the image is the text 'RAGO' - I guess it is meant to be 'ERAGON'
2. Stagefright Detector app reports vulnerabilities: CVE-2015-3864, 6602, 2829 and 2827
3. Camera crashes after taking first picture. The live image preview works, but when you hit the shutter button it freezes the image and fails to respond
4. The device reports itself as Elephone P8000
5. Antutu score only 34577. On stock ROM with Blueflame's kernel I was getting 37452.

I will run it for a few days and see how it goes.

Thanks.

1. i didnt know that with the boot animation.can test it too, because I don't own a p6000./ I will fix it.

2. Stagefright vulnerability is normal..because there is no stagefright patch to fix it.. Only google can do.
I think in android m it will be fixed.

3. Could you try a different cam app from.playstore?
If it don't work then, I will fix it asap.
(Could be related to the p8000 drivers)

4. Yes right. Because it is a port of the p8000

5. I don't care about benchmarkes..
They don't tell anything. Its all about how a device response and feels. That's the point and not s**** benchmarks
(And blueflames kernel is overclocked too)

1. Here is a photo of the boot animation:

2. There seems more vulnerabilities than I remember on the stock ROM. There are some patches here. I haven't tried them sorry but could try patching Eragon and see if it improves things.

3. I tried a different camera app (A Better Camera) which also crashed when taking the first photo. Are you using the P8000 camera drivers? Let me know if I can do any more research for you here. According to Elephone website:
P6000 Pro: Samsung rear-13MP,front-2.0MP
P8000: Rear-13MP Samsung 3L2 , front-5.0MP

5. Apparently (according to his thread) the overclock doesn't really change the clock frequency - although I did see an improvement in Antutu scores when I used it. The ROM seems responsive so I am of course happy. It was just an observation - not a criticism.

Keep up the good work! If I notice anything else I will let you know.

Martin.

@skeleton1911, I'm still waiting for your PM ;)

Another question - what do you mean in Features in OP
...
* Unsecured Boot.img
...
* Ramdsik Tweaks
...
May be I don't understand something, but boot.img in your Eragon_P6000pro_V_1.0.zip is binary equal to stok (K01TS-A.A.vA0D.E1.150910) boot.img ...

2 days using this now, everything seems to be working fine that I have checked, apart from the originally reported issues.
I've checked Bluetooth handsfree, voice calling, SMS, alarm, WIFI, single SIM card.
Battery life seems a bit better - but my usage varies so it is hard to say.
What are Viper4Android and Seeder?

Really hope you can get the camera sorted. I didn't realise how often I take photos until I lost the functionality :)
