Thanks for linking the modem thread but i meant are there any good quality modems out there, like we all know jk4 was good. Something like that.

And if it turns out not to be the modem draining battery, is there any way to find out whats draining it so quickly?

Hey devs, if you need a tester for 11, I am off from work for the next 7 days. I will definately put the new rom through some tough testing. Just PM me.

Anyone else have Swype stop working today?

I've the Apex 10.1, been running it since almost the day it came out. Perfect.

Today Swype came up and told me "a newere version was released, swype is disabled until you install it" and directed me to the beta.swype.com website.

I tried to follow those directions, but it tells me "cannot install swype beta on devices with swype preinstalled".

So I'm left with a non-functioning swype.

That happened to me too... Had to uninstall Swype and sign up for the beta and install the beta.

How can we uninstall Swype? It won't let me do it through "manage applications".

Do it with Titanium Backup if you have it. Then use something like Root Explorer to make sure all the dregs are cleaned out our the new Swype won't work properly. Trust me, been there, done that. I don't have the directories right in front of me that you should check, sorry, that's home on my desktop.

Use Tibu to uninstall Swype

Then use Root Explorer and
delete "libSwypeCore.so" from /system/lib/

Reboot and install Swype Beta, Sign up is free and the rest of the instructions is pretty straight forward from their website.

Hey, I'm really a big fan of this ROM, so thanks for your efforts. I had issues at first, but I reinstalled the ROM and this time did not restore system apps and data, just user apps, and it runs much, much better.

Is there a way to install the Android Keyboard for 9.3? Thanks.

Why can't I download Apex 10.0 full rom?

When I go to:

http://apexromcaptivate.weebly.com/apex-10x---jvs.html

and click on the link for the full 10.0 rom:

which is : http://www.multiupload.com/7HRH3JXBTN

it redirects me to:

http://lnx.lu/5yD which redirects me to http://www.theinternetvshollywood.com/

What's going on here?

I don't believe Apex 10 is being supported anymore( maybe links were taken down). But the project was picked up by psychophobia look back in this thread a few pages there is a link to the latest apex :D

    Hi All,

In an amazing turn around of events I ended up selling my captivate, Atrix and a couple other phones. The good part is I have some money now :) but I am finding it hard to believe that I will be away from Apex/Pinnacle.

It was fun to work on them as a rom dev. I got to learn so much about android and rom deving. I always admired talent of DaGr8 and perfection of Cezar'. While DaGr8 always brought new features for our captivate cezar' always strived for perfection. They were both my gurus :)

I would still say that DaGr8 is the best dev around for captivate and I9000 and he should be given the credit he deserves for his hard work.

See you all on the SGS II side and thanks for supporting an Idiot like me :)

really? Do u even know what u r talking about? I am going to report your retarted post to a mod.

On a side note market apps DO NOT GET INSTALLED ON SYSTEM PARTITION. THEY ARE INSTALLED ON /DATA PARTITION.

The issue that you have is because of new market needing a cache of 50MB while we have only 30MB on captivate by default. Now go and curse samsung.

And next time before making a retard post know what the hell u r writing

This might not be the best place for this but what would be the best way to remove system apps? More specifically the samsung apps and widgets.

TiBU or deleting apk from system/app using root explorer
