Nice ROM. And great choice of base. Just wondering, how did you get jkay on xila3 ? Did you just use the one for xwla4?

Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
I had JKay while using Checkrom and had it backed up via tibu. I also saw a link for it in the i9100 section.

I am also trying out checkrom and now this. What to do what to do.
I really liked Checkrom too, but when they wouldnt allow it to be ported I started all over with a different base firmware. I think the bases must be pretty close to tbe same thing except for country of origin. This one was made for Italy if I remember correctly. I think they might be similiar as I have been messing around looking for things to add/change and some but not all the xlwa4 based stuff works occasionally.

I am really trying to find some better dialer, incall dialer, and such to get rid of the video call parts from everything. I will probably end up having to use the method i found in our section to remove tjose tjkngs from inside the apk since mone made for our i777 seem to be working for me.

I just installed the ROM and so far so good. One thing that I noticed is that the battery icon randomly goes from the android guy to a stock looking blue battery icon for some reason.

I noticed that also. I havent dug into it yet to see if some of the perecentages are missing or something, or if something got messed up between all my testing before uploading it.

It probably has something to do with the images or XML in the framework-res. I would take a look at it myself to see but its almost 3am over here.

Edit: I took a look at it and its the images in the framework-res.apk. For some reason there are a bunch of them that are the other image. Its in both the regular battery images and the first few in the charging animation.

Another thing I found was that the progress bar is a 4 part image set and the 4th image is smaller than the other 3 which made the progress bar flash from its regular size to a thinner size when waiting to download something from the market, etc.

Edit2: I was able to fix both the battery icons and the progress bar since I had nothing better to do lol.

Rom is running to perfection, one of the smoothest I've tried! Only thing I'm wondering is does your rom support bln? Not working with my current setup, so it's either the rom or DD 3/5 kernel. I do like to use it as it's nice to know when u have a notification without turning on phone. Other than that, I have no complaints at all. The theme is very thorough and I'm glad u themed the silent, vibrate, etc. icons as well.

When i get a cbance I will see what/why bln or led notifications wont work. I use them also. I will have to see if Entropys daily driver supports it. I would also like it to work. Still trying to fix little things right now. I am sometimes limited on time with my family and kids baseball and all. Usually wednesday-saturdays j get more time to mess with things.

Cool, no rush, enjoying the rom. I have used bln with many DD releases so I imagine it's supported in the most recent releases.

There is a section in Entropy's DD post that talks about BLN support. What might be the cause of it not working on this ROM is missing liblight files. This can be found on the 3rd post with instructions of how to make it work. Give that a try and see if it fixes it.

Something I noticed when I saw the battery icon changed from the android dude to a normal battery is that my battery usage meter reset somehow. I unplugged my phone at 8:30am est and when I checked it around 3:30pm est it only showed just shy of 2 hours on battery.

I'll post if I run into anything else while I use it obviously.

Overall I'm liking the rom so good work sir!

There is a fix posted a few posts back for this on the same page that you can flash to fix the battery icon.

Quoted here:
Here is the fix for the android battery. Just flash it in recovery. I should have it fixex in the next update. http://db.tt/zTSal3kr

I already flashed that before I even posted on here. Was just noting when I noticed the battery log being reset.

If I unplugged at 830am and was only showing 2 hrs of on use battery time at 330pm there is a missing five hours of battery logs.

For all I know it might of been the fix that changed the log but I figured it was worth mentioning.

Sometimes when you reboot and flash things the battery log does get reset. That's probably what happened.

Updated again 03-10-2012. New Kernel. Changing to my own made dialer with various tweaks to it, still working on it for stupid video button refusing to remove. See change log for more info.

If anyone is interested I can upload the fixed contacts.apk for how I finally wanted the dialer. Thanks to Stone_Ship for fixing the video call button for me. Once I fix a few more things I will upload another version with everything done hopefully to include the new dialer.

Link has been put in the OP. Took forever last night (this morning) to upload and I fell a sleep. Hope people will try it out, I totally happy with it and if someone else created it I would be pleasantly surprised I think. Give me feedback good or bad.
