Not sure yet. Depends on when ICS kernel source drops. I want to play with ICS when it comes out. If anything is wrong with the builds I would for sure try to correct them but I am pretty content how it is set up right now. Not sure what else I need to fix at this point. Let me know if there is anything else I am missing and I will see what I can do. Basically I said finalized as to what I wanted in a Rom and themed is completed. But like I said if there is something I am missing or needs fixed please let me know.

Can those new APN settings be used on other roms as well? I've added the new APN settings but if anything it seemed to slow my data speeds down, especially from the market.

They should but it is possible you also need the build prop edits to allow for the faster speeds. When I have the build prop edits and the pan settings i get about 8-10 mb/s consistently and without them i average 2-4mb/s. I have used them both on cm7, and other roms like this one.

Updated OP to CobraRom v2.b with some fixes, themed items, New themed apks, overall nicer looking. It is a UPDATE ONLY VERSION and would need to be flashed on top of v2a. So if this is the first time flashing this then download VERSION 2.a and version 2.b Install 2.a and let it boot, then go back to recovery and flash the UPDATE. The partial changelog has been a bit more updated to changes. This will fix the process.phone error after hanging up from a call. It does have the video call button after hanging up still which I will try to work on but all my attempts seemed to work for a while then started getting the process.phone error after hanging up. Hope anyone who uses it will enjoy it...

I've been running this since yesterday morning, after noticing the updates. Really like the theming. This is a solid GB ROM. I'll probably run this until ICS is working completely on our devices. Great work!

Thanks for the props man. Did you install the update? It has the one fix for a phone process error after hanging up from a phone call.
I have ported an ICS Rom that is really nice and have sent a pm to the op in the i9100 section to see if I can port/convert it for our i777. With Fennys kernel it is working awesome. I got the usr files correctly working and haptic on the home button working also though it seems a little lighter on the vibrations than the other soft keys. No issues with the ported/converted version on my phone and I have seen the screen wake on/off issue yet. I would love to port it over as it is really nice. Hope they give me the okay.

Thanks again and I hope you enjoy CobraRom. If you/anyone notices anything wrong or want any changes let ke know and I can see what I can do.

I did install the update and it resolved all but the data problem. The data connection wouldnt wake up from idle intermitently. Think it might be APN related though, as Ive seen that before. Great work!

Check or add the apn's I put in the OP. I noticed I had to always add the apn's that I normally use.

Well I installed it and it froze up completely while signing in the first time and then died the black screen of death the second time.
I doubt its your rom. My phone refuses to run on any kernel except for one of Entropys older ones. I will dig it out and push it into the zip and re-install. It did the same thing with ICScrewd.
Although I had no problem with CM7 thank goodness.
Anyway, it looks nice from the 30-60 second it runs before lock up.
I will get it going and report back. Like I said, its probably not the rom, it my temperamental phone.

That's weird. Never had that issue while testing it out. And i tested it a lot before posting them. I am using Entropy Daily Driver 02282012 if I remember correctly (it is in the op). Which version did you download and install?

Which version of your rom? The latest one v2a and also the addendum. But I cant get it to run. I even nandroided back to my stock rooted rom, then reinstalled v2a to see if that would help, and it didn't.
Looking through my saved files from ICScrewd that I modded, I had to push the 1/23/12 Entropy kernel to get it to run so I am going to do that here also unless you have an objection?

edit: Well I guess that wont work, there is no zImage in your zip to replace.

Try to download it. Maybe got a bad download? Yes the v2a with the v2b update. I had tested the download myself previously and it worked fine for. Let me know if it doesn't work for you after another download. I can try to send you a regular download version but I found packaging up the way kept it smaller for the file upload site.

Well after installing the 1/24/12 kernel all was well. I set up everything, loaded all my programs, etc. with no lock ups. Life was good.
Then I remembered you had an update. v2b. So I installed that. LOL. I just had to laugh when I saw it installing the 2/28/12 kernel.
Sure enough, locked up solid as soon as I rebooted. Battery pull, reflash my trusty 1/24/12 kernel and all is well again.
I must say that this is a very nice rom. Smooth and sweet! I like the way it looks. I will run it for the weekend and if it works with all my apps its a keeper. So far it meets all my needs, gotta see how it works with my car dock ultra and waze.

When you put in the other APN's do you select them or just leave them all unselected? If I have like 4 or 5 APN's in there does the phone pick the best one or does it only use the one with the marker selected?
I have never understood how they work. Like you, I always have to fiddle around with different APN's until I get one to work. I usually use the ones out of my Captivate but I don't get great download speeds.

Yes after creating an apn you have to click next to it. There should be a button that will change. Once you click it should use the one checked. Hope you enjoy it. Let me know.
I may be posting up a ported ICS Rom later for people to try out. Nothing seems broken on it so far. Been using it for days now. Little tricky getting Entropy kernel to flash the first time though but it can be flashed and then booted up then flash Entropy kernel and everything works great. May be a few days though.
