i've been on maxicet's rom for so long i lost count.

this new 3.0 has a much higher ram usage. constantly clocking around 655-700mb. not much left when i open other apps. i even had constant freeze when running chrome or my games.

some stuff that i loved in 2.0 are not found in 3.0.
awesome beats is missing, sony walkman player is missing. sygic is added but i dont use it anyway. battery callibrator ?? triangle away ?? i'd much rather have the old stuff from 2.0 like ad away or push detector. mi market is great. love that market.

i also noticed in 2.0 that using the new tw launcher, you cant change the icons. but using the older tw launcher, you can. the older tw launcher was included in 2.0 but not in 3.0. though i don't really use it, but it's a good change sometimes. still rocking miui launcher. nothing beats that.

new gallery is good. the note2 gallery is fantastic. you also threw in an extra whcih i think is from the xperia series. anti virus was also thrown into the rom. i dont use it but i'm sure there are those who use it. good to have it.

overall, the impact after installing and using the 3.0 was not as explosive as 2.0
the 2.0 was like a super grand entrance of ROMS. with the 3.0, it was kinda subtle and frankly i was rather disappointed because i had expected it to give me more boom than the 2.0

having said all that, i still feel this is suitable as a daily use rom. i like the new stuff that was added on, but i do feel quite a number of unecessary stuff has also jumped in. the ram usage is quite high this time around as well.

I agree with you in many aspects of it especially awesome beats.
after spending a long time looking I found these ... is the best I found

Oh and... if the kernel/recovery are 100% safe to wipe/flash from, too .

Dear Formhault, This ROM has hydracore_v2b kernel by default which is safe for all wipes. Performance increases with hydracore 4.3b update....
ROM is very stable in general.

Wait a second. This ROM is a hybrid between TouchWiz (S Pen and such functions) and MIUI... So... is it TW-based, or CM-based with those features added? Would a CM9 kernel work then?

It's tw based rom and no a cm9 kernel wouldn't work nor a tw kernel like speedmod. Only hydracore works with this one, but you allready knew that

This ROM is not CM based and CM9 Kernels generally do not work properly (Except HydraCore) as reported by users reported earlier. However, prior to this version it use to have stock kernel and now it is with HydraCore Kernel(Safe wipe/recovery). As you may be knowing MIUI lovers (Galaxy Note) are spoil t for choice with fantastic MIUI flavors.

How is this possible? If it's TW-based... Oh well... Anyway, I tried SpeedMod and the lag was painful.

Let's hope MIUI China makes it for the Note soon.

Well rocket miui. Is newer in source 2.9.21 and still based 4.0.3..... so isn't sure not anyway if you flashed it you can check or any guy here using version 3.0 place report android version?
