Thank you so much @elandroido!!! (I know this may not be the forum for this, but please be patient with me...I know I am close)
A little more background: When I initially installed TWRP 2.8.5 recovery, I immediately made a backup, without having pushed any superuser. When I tried to reboot my first time after the back up finished, that is when TWRP asked me to install a superuser so I didn't lose root. So I did through TWRP using the one they suggested by following the onscreen prompts (which told me it updated through play store, and then updated the binaries). I then went to recovery and flashed viper 4.2 with full wipe based on the viper menu (do I need to wipe something more than what aroma asks me to do when installing viper 4.2?) Then I had had my issue of "Unfortunatley, NetworkServiceProvider has stopped" error once viper 4.2 completed install. Which brings us up to speed.

So, once I restore my backup, I ignore the notification in TWRP that I dont have superuser installed, then do I:
1 - let my phone reboot, then go back into recovery and flash viper 4.2, or
2 - Do I install viper 4.2 right from recovery once I flash my back up, without rebooting my backup?

Also, I know this isn't the forum, but how do I start logcat with the error popping up every 1 second (literally). I would need to be trying to run viper 4.2 for it to occur. So, Install viper 4.2 and when error occurs, connect via usb to a pc and then...? I am sorry for the noob questions. I have learned everything I know about android through the viper m7 thread and team venom and supporters I found here are the best! (and most helpful). Thanks again in advance!!
First of all it does not matter, what you make with your backup. It makes do difference whether you install su or not, since everything is overwritten by viper anyhow.
Normally you should be fine with flashing the full rom and doing a wipe in aroma. (I assume you already were on lollipop with stock, otherwise you might be missing the firmware version). At the end of the installation you are asked to reboot. Do so.
When flashing the fullrom with wipe does not help, the only solution I see is to post a logcat and wait for a developer having a look at it.
When your phone as booted you should be able to create a logcat with
Code:
adb logcat > logcat.txt
When you have issued the command, make the error occur in your viper installation a couple of times.
Then press Ctrl-C in the shell where you issued the adb logcat command.
Finally upload the file here as attachment.

Yes i did wiped:
wiping option came in the procedure of flashing the rom....
(I am new to all this)....
Which firmware version do you run? Are you coming from stock lollipop?

#1 is buggy atm...use hold to turn it on and release to turn it off.

#2 confirmed by our vzw/sprint testers that it works. You need a cdma phone so that tweak works.

oh so for any of the GSM users its currently not working? only on CDMA? thats some new info haha. thanks! i can deal with the #1 for now. I just work on the car alot and so not having the phone in my hand with a light sometimes is kinda handy.

But thanks for great work mang. i've been waiting for the 5.0 release and its everything that i could ever wish for on android 5.0 thanks buddy

Thank you! I will try all this and post a logcat as soon as I can get to my pc. I am coming from stock lollipop with Sprint (US) software version 4.20.651.10. It appears something silly is just hanging up, as I tried to proceed though the errors last night and quickly making a keystroke between errors, I could see that viper appeared to be running as it should....I could see all my data partitions, had access to tweaks and hub......so I thin it is just some silly errant code giving me a recurring error.
Thanks again!! working to get the logcat...

HEY!!!!! I'm am IRISH American! LOL!

Won't kiss you anyways :)
If I would be gifted and able in themeing and customizing I already started doing it. But there's still no tool for the left handed like me so all I can do is to ask gently for it.

Seen Tron in Hub but (sorry artist) I don't like it that much. Am just a happy camper cause I recognized that I can use various icon set :good:

Discovering the rom by every day, hehe

Its just me, or its the Rom, or its lollipop, but after upgrading to 4.2 (I wiped absolutely everything and get the newest version of firmware) my battery life is at least a 40% worse. I have the Sprint version. I read in the battery thread that is something wrong with lollipop sense in stock roms, and HTC is aware of that, but idk if that have been fixed in this Rom?

Anyone else is experiencing the same ? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

I've already updated and turned the option on but it still disappears when i logged on to Wifi. So that's what my concern was. I'll take a logcat / video when i have an opportunity to.
syaoran68: Technically it is not supposed to come on when you are connected to WIFI, unless you are sending or receiving an MMS. I'm confused, why do you want the data logo ON while you are connected to WIFI anyway?

Well i was finally able to install the 4.2 rom on s-of rooted unlocked m8 but to my avail it doesen't work which for me is a deal breaker , it sucks because everything else about the rom is freaking awesome i realize that the apk not working is not venoms fault so dont take this the wrong way, I am currently on a verizon model with a t-mobile cid/mid running 3.2.1 and everything works flawlessly it is and has been my one and only rom for a while I get 4G LTE at the 25-30mbs range clear calls and sms/mms works like a charm , so thanks for all of the hard work and i will keep trying to get the apk to work on my wife m8 (lLOL) so keep it up

thanks ,

bunkerboy69: What the point in having a Verizon model with a TMOUS CID/MID? Is it letting you do something you previously could not?

Tazz.: You are stuck in what is known as a "Boot Loop". If you cannot get past the boot screen then I suggest holding down Power+Volume Up, wait 10 seconds, then when the screen goes blank, let go of Power+Volume Up and immediately push Volume Down so you can boot into the Bootloader Screen. Once there, I would go into your Recovery, back up what you need to if necessary, then re-install the ROM from the Full Version.

Hi

Thanks for the many helps, now it works great :)
a little question: can i make the taskbar symbols a litte smaller? In last viperone ROMS it has a option in venom tweaks but now i find no option.

And a little problem: when i install the exchange mod from venom hub i can't add a exchange profil. By finish the profile i comes a unknow error please try again. Without Mod it works fine but with security policy.

Regards,
Jan

Tmous mms over wifi calling

Folks: Everything posted in the thread is from much older versions back in November.

Is anyone else having any issues not being able to send/receive MMS when WIFI calling is enabled on TMOUS.

SMS works great, any outgoing MMS simply fail, and incoming MMS are not even given a notification over anything.

Is it possible its a Firmware issue? I am currently still on Firmware Ver. 3.32.531.2 as I cannot S-OFF to update the Firmware to the latest TMOUS (and I am too lazy to revert to stock RUU and start all over again)........

Anyone else experiencing this?

    Installation.png

    1. Download the latest rom from our venomroms download page
    2. If you got an external sdcard place the downloaded zip there. In case you haven't, wait for step 6 to copy it to your internal sdcard.
    3. Backup your internal sdcard if you got important content on it. Unlocking bootloader will wipe all your data, including your internal sdcard. Your external sdcard will stay untouched.
    4. Register at HTCdev if you dont have an account yet and follow the instructions there to unlock your bootloader
    5. Boot up your phone and copy the rom to your internal sdcard in case you didn't in step one to your external.
    6. Download the lastest TWRP Recovery version on the TWRP Download Page
    7. Flash it with fastboot with following command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (replace recovery.img with the actual filename it got downloaded with)
    8. To boot into recovery use 'adb reboot recovery' or press and hold power + volume down and wait till it booted to the bootloader. From there you can navigate with the volume buttons and confirm with the power button to boot to the recovery
    9. If you are coming from stock: Make a backup of your stock rom in TWRP recovery. Include System Image and Boot. Now you have a full stock backup, except recovery, in case you want to return back to stock one day.
    10. Ensure you allow system modifications in TWRP when asked.
    11. In TWRP click Install and pick the rom either from internal or external sdcard to install it.
    12. The installer will start and will guide you through the installation
