did you wipe during install?

wiping option came in the procedure of flashing the rom....
(I am new to all this)....

First of all it does not matter, what you make with your backup. It makes do difference whether you install su or not, since everything is overwritten by viper anyhow.Thank you so much @elandroido!!! (I know this may not be the forum for this, but please be patient with me...I know I am close)
A little more background: When I initially installed TWRP 2.8.5 recovery, I immediately made a backup, without having pushed any superuser. When I tried to reboot my first time after the back up finished, that is when TWRP asked me to install a superuser so I didn't lose root. So I did through TWRP using the one they suggested by following the onscreen prompts (which told me it updated through play store, and then updated the binaries). I then went to recovery and flashed viper 4.2 with full wipe based on the viper menu (do I need to wipe something more than what aroma asks me to do when installing viper 4.2?) Then I had had my issue of "Unfortunatley, NetworkServiceProvider has stopped" error once viper 4.2 completed install. Which brings us up to speed.
So, once I restore my backup, I ignore the notification in TWRP that I dont have superuser installed, then do I:
1 - let my phone reboot, then go back into recovery and flash viper 4.2, or
2 - Do I install viper 4.2 right from recovery once I flash my back up, without rebooting my backup?
Also, I know this isn't the forum, but how do I start logcat with the error popping up every 1 second (literally). I would need to be trying to run viper 4.2 for it to occur. So, Install viper 4.2 and when error occurs, connect via usb to a pc and then...? I am sorry for the noob questions. I have learned everything I know about android through the viper m7 thread and team venom and supporters I found here are the best! (and most helpful). Thanks again in advance!!
adb logcat > logcat.txt
Which firmware version do you run? Are you coming from stock lollipop?Yes i did wiped:

#1 is buggy atm...use hold to turn it on and release to turn it off.
#2 confirmed by our vzw/sprint testers that it works. You need a cdma phone so that tweak works.

Normally you should be fine with flashing the full rom and doing a wipe in aroma. (I assume you already were on lollipop with stock, otherwise you might be missing the firmware version). At the end of the installation you are asked to reboot. Do so.
When flashing the fullrom with wipe does not help, the only solution I see is to post a logcat and wait for a developer having a look at it.
When your phone as booted you should be able to create a logcat with
When you have issued the command, make the error occur in your viper installation a couple of times.Code:adb logcat > logcat.txt
Then press Ctrl-C in the shell where you issued the adb logcat command.
Finally upload the file here as attachment.

smack67: Are you familiar with the commands to do this the geeky way or do you want me to tell you how to do it with the OS booted the easy way?Nope - just getting that ugly msg that the storage is mounted ro

syaoran68: Technically it is not supposed to come on when you are connected to WIFI, unless you are sending or receiving an MMS. I'm confused, why do you want the data logo ON while you are connected to WIFI anyway?I've already updated and turned the option on but it still disappears when i logged on to Wifi. So that's what my concern was. I'll take a logcat / video when i have an opportunity to.
bunkerboy69: What the point in having a Verizon model with a TMOUS CID/MID? Is it letting you do something you previously could not?Well i was finally able to install the 4.2 rom on s-of rooted unlocked m8 but to my avail it doesen't work which for me is a deal breaker , it sucks because everything else about the rom is freaking awesome i realize that the apk not working is not venoms fault so dont take this the wrong way, I am currently on a verizon model with a t-mobile cid/mid running 3.2.1 and everything works flawlessly it is and has been my one and only rom for a while I get 4G LTE at the 25-30mbs range clear calls and sms/mms works like a charm , so thanks for all of the hard work and i will keep trying to get the apk to work on my wife m8 (lLOL) so keep it up
thanks ,

Tazz.: You are stuck in what is known as a "Boot Loop". If you cannot get past the boot screen then I suggest holding down Power+Volume Up, wait 10 seconds, then when the screen goes blank, let go of Power+Volume Up and immediately push Volume Down so you can boot into the Bootloader Screen. Once there, I would go into your Recovery, back up what you need to if necessary, then re-install the ROM from the Full Version.HELP PLEASE!
I just updated my phone through the updating thing on the M8 to get 4.2.0 update for ViperOne Rom and now it's stuck on the ViperOne boot screen. It does the animation and then just stays on the ViperOne part. Can anyone please help me!? When I plug my phone into the computer it can't find it.
Sorry for the Thanks
Did you check WA settings and enabled icon?
