The website has nothing to do with the ROM itself. The ROM will still work

Thanks for the reply! I've run into software b4, when they flip a switch & discontinue support it renders the apps DOA.....
It was just the main guy who started Viper that retired..... 4 other main people remain, you'd think it would stay operational
longer than a few days past his announcing retirement?!!!!

Another ??? since you replied, heheheh.... just got this Verizon HTC One M8 from someone that finally upgraded to the U12+. Reloaded the 6.0 fw. Tried flashing magisk after posting here and it sat for awhile but seemed to finish up. Magisk is NOT installed to the naked eye & no root for busybox? Is there something specific has to be done before TWRP can flash root like decrypt the internal, flash 'no-dm-verity' script or something?!!!!
Thanks for any further help you can provide!
zach
ps it is s-off with Sunshine.....

You did s-off and unlocked bootloader? I assume you did, since you appear to have TWRP installed (which can only be done with unlocked bootloader).

Yeah. All had to do was put Magisk's Manager on & it recognized it had been flashed. Now all thats left is the lovely task of replacing the battery.... ugh.
At least, from what I've read an M9 battery will fit, with a tad bit more maH's.......
To another old device, not dead yet!!!!!!!

Installation.png

  1. Download the latest rom from our venomroms download page
  2. If you got an external sdcard place the downloaded zip there. In case you haven't, wait for step 6 to copy it to your internal sdcard.
  3. Backup your internal sdcard if you got important content on it. Unlocking bootloader will wipe all your data, including your internal sdcard. Your external sdcard will stay untouched.
  4. Register at HTCdev if you dont have an account yet and follow the instructions there to unlock your bootloader
  5. Boot up your phone and copy the rom to your internal sdcard in case you didn't in step one to your external.
  6. Download the lastest TWRP Recovery version on the TWRP Download Page
  7. Flash it with fastboot with following command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (replace recovery.img with the actual filename it got downloaded with)
  8. To boot into recovery use 'adb reboot recovery' or press and hold power + volume down and wait till it booted to the bootloader. From there you can navigate with the volume buttons and confirm with the power button to boot to the recovery
  9. If you are coming from stock: Make a backup of your stock rom in TWRP recovery. Include System Image and Boot. Now you have a full stock backup, except recovery, in case you want to return back to stock one day.
  10. Ensure you allow system modifications in TWRP when asked.
  11. In TWRP click Install and pick the rom either from internal or external sdcard to install it.
  12. The installer will start and will guide you through the installation

No, just flash the ROM
Will this flash on a T-Mobile?

Edit. I didn't read. Lol.

Got a link? I found a rom zip on Android file host, but not sure it is the same. Thanks

Thanks, I did miss your last post.

I do see now that the download link just goes to the same ROM.

Have you heard of others having Bluetooth issues like @blockhead428?
Have a link for ROM zip?

Have a link for ROM zip?

The ROM.zip you showed in your post after this is an RUU, not ViperOneM8

Here's a link for ViperOneM8 6.1.0: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591020540824822

The way it is named, it looked like a ROM.zip pulled from an RUU. No ROMs made by Team Venom are named like that. Then I noticed it's an STeam ROM and not one of ours.
Sorry for the confusion.
Lol. No prob. It's my bad actually. Hey, do u have a copy of this ROM in o.p somewhere? I'd appreciate it. Thanks

In aroma, can I chose the carrier as in for what my sim cards network uses, or do I use what the device actually is? As this is a T-Mobile m8. Other words, do I chose TMobile as this is a tmous?. Thanks.
