Both phones will not be supported because it's too much work to support them all it's not simple few libs copy, we wouldn't need phones in our hands to do it, but even like this we find little time to support all current roms.

And Btw i added support for Chinese dual sim which apears to be very similar, but still haven't found proper tester so you see how hard this is..
And still it is possible to hope for support of HTC ONE M8 Dual Sim?

close all recent apps

Sorry if this has been covered or is a known issue, but ive searched the thread and couldnt find anything. The close all recent button just closes the status bar. It was like this in 2.5, and is still present in 3.1. I've checked the hub for a hotfix/patch and didn't see anything about this. Is there a setting I'm missing or is it a known bug? S-off, supercid, firmware 3.28.401.9. Other than that, great job!

You use the aosp recent apps style?
There it is known...
Open the recent apps a second time and close all... Afterwards you should see, that all apps had been closed.

But with the sense recent apps, it's working without any issues.
Can't get clock and weather mods to stick...any help please?
Did you flash the widget hot fix from the hub?
If yes... As you could see in the description of the hot fix, it did exchange the widget to the new one but this also means, that it will break the tweaks, for the weather clock widget.

Just wondering if anyone else has my issue, when I swipe the screen in any direction I get a delay as in even typing text with Swype it will miss the first letter. I notice it really bad when I pinch to zoom it sometimes won't recognize the second finger

---------- Post added at 06:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:37 PM ----------

I'm S-Off with elemental kernel and latest Viper Rom, I can swipe up half a screen before it eventually catches up, it's bloody annoying

Try changing kernel... Mine was doing same thing on elemental.

Main question is: why do you even use "close all" function? Android's memory management is next to perfect. Oh... And... Just a saying... Unused memory is wasted memory. ;)

Just calibrate thru settings. Under display & gestures/ g sensor calibration.

Did that several times, even to the extent of levelling a table with a full on laser level and calibrating it on that. Still a constant drift to the right, around a degree of arc every 3or 4 seconds.
It's not an issue I'm bothered for fixing right now, so I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, thanks though.

The 1 You Been Looking For.
When I update blinkfeed it fixed that problem with folder constantly reopening and opening some apps when folder is open if you click on them. Also if fixed icon position in menu I noticed that they were too close to the slider on the right, but now when I install new blinkfeed they are in position like they should be. I know that when I install this new blinkfeed from store that it breaks a lot of tweaks but just to let you know if anything can be done about that icon position and that folder opening thing.

P.S
Now with new blinkfeed icons in folder are too much in the upper left corner, it broke the tweak I assume.

Cheers!

SMS/MMS Sent Messages Appearing Twice

Don't sync your sms with exchange account.

When I send text messages my phone shows that I sent the message twice. Why is it doing that?

I've been having this problem ever since upgrading to 3.x version of the ROM, and have been researching it on and off. My SMS is NOT synced with the exchange account. I use AT&T as my provider, and of course I selected AT&T when I set up the ROM. I've scoured the AT&T site for their specified APN settings for the HTC M8 and have discovered there is a missing field in the APN configuration settings for the ROM. This Field is called APN Protocol, and the setting is IPv4, however, as I stated, this field is missing. Hopefully this is a default setting somewhere when selecting AT&T.

The other issue I discovered is that despite selecting AT&T as my provider during ROM set up, the preferred network type defaults to WCDMA preferred, which excludes the AT&T 4G LTE network.

Read about preferred network settings here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2713752

Research what the preferred network settings are supposed to be for your carrier on your carrier's website.
Select Venom Tweaks
Scroll over to Misc and select Phone Info
Half way down the page, just above "Turn off radio" is "Set preferred network type" (My setting defaulted to "WCDMA preferred" which excludes the AT&T 4GLTE network.)
Tap the little white arrow in the bottom right corner of the field and select the setting you found for your carrier. For AT&T, you should select GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto

After making this change to the "Preferred network type", I no longer have the issue with a 10 to 20 second lag for sending SMS/MMS messages, and more importantly I no longer have the duplicate sent messages issues.

Good luck!

Edit: As I continue to research the APN configurations, I've learned that APN settings are a function of the SIM card from the carrier and are not created in the ROM. So for me, the issues with duplicate sent messages was strictly related to the clean install of the ROM with a full wipe defaulting the preferred network setting to "WCDMA preferred". Setting it to "GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto" has resolved the issue permanently.

Note to users: If you have a problem, try searching the thread, searching other XDA forums, and even searching Google! As my father once told me many, many years ago, "Everything you need to know is written down somewhere."

Viper 3.1 will probably become Viper 3.2, maybe even 3.3, who knows...
I can tell you, with much certainty, that there won't be another thread, Viper will get updated to Lollipop, like it was from JellyBean to KitKat...
Then it will grow and evolve as always... Until becoming self aware and taking control of the world. :D

    Installation.png

    1. Download the latest rom from our venomroms download page
    2. If you got an external sdcard place the downloaded zip there. In case you haven't, wait for step 6 to copy it to your internal sdcard.
    3. Backup your internal sdcard if you got important content on it. Unlocking bootloader will wipe all your data, including your internal sdcard. Your external sdcard will stay untouched.
    4. Register at HTCdev if you dont have an account yet and follow the instructions there to unlock your bootloader
    5. Boot up your phone and copy the rom to your internal sdcard in case you didn't in step one to your external.
    6. Download the lastest TWRP Recovery version on the TWRP Download Page
    7. Flash it with fastboot with following command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (replace recovery.img with the actual filename it got downloaded with)
    8. To boot into recovery use 'adb reboot recovery' or press and hold power + volume down and wait till it booted to the bootloader. From there you can navigate with the volume buttons and confirm with the power button to boot to the recovery
    9. If you are coming from stock: Make a backup of your stock rom in TWRP recovery. Include System Image and Boot. Now you have a full stock backup, except recovery, in case you want to return back to stock one day.
    10. Ensure you allow system modifications in TWRP when asked.
    11. In TWRP click Install and pick the rom either from internal or external sdcard to install it.
    12. The installer will start and will guide you through the installation
